THE ONLY BELT WORTH PUTTING IN YOUR ENGINE IS GENUINE NISSAN. enough said.... gates belts are junk, and you will need to replace it again within 3 months when all the blue crap comes of the back of the belt and sticks to your idlers. this then makes a horrific noise. idlers and tensioners can be picked up from your local bearing shop, around $70 for both.
  5. all p platers and people in general under 20 all cry and sook when the goverment give them restrictions on what they can drive. 15 yrs ago we all learnt to drive in 75 hp datsun 180b's, and corolla's. it took 2 minutes to get to 100 kph and the death toll of youths was never heard off. people these days that are 30+ have far greater respect for motor vehicles then a young punk thrashing a car his dad bought for him. my thoughts only, but we should have 100hp cap on all people less then 20. learn to drive before you race, and be mature enough to recognise the consiquences.

  7. if your interested in dragging, why would you even consider a gtrs? im not a fan of them at all. way to much money for way to little return. my opinion only on a stock bottom end 3037 on a built bottom end gt3582 im running the latter with poncams and i can see 5 psi at 2500rpm but i can also sit on 100 kph in second gear being auto, floor it and instantly the tyres light up at 100 kph, it changes into drive and the speedo goes of the clock. in around 2 seconds. (keeps the crowd happy) a gtrs struggles to spin the wheels at all.

  11. tinkering with the idea of getting a new family car. the muppet bus is gettting a bit cramped in the back seat for my growing family. any ideas on a suitable replacement. anyone driven a legnum? they look nicer then the volvo, and around the same price. or its the effort of getting a evo wagon over here and registered, which would cost lots more. nicer car but lots of coin. thoughts?
  12. any imperfections in the impeller what so ever, will cause the unit to hand grenade on its first trip to redline, if not sooner. contact the clowns that packaged it and get them to send u another one. having to send the exhaust housing off is a new one. what sort of turbo is it that would require sending the housing to the beenie place?
  13. i would be looking at cam / valve related issues.

John Moyle Motor Engineering 1a Collins St, Enfield, SA 5085 p: (08) 8269 3214 f: (08) 8344 1202 i supplied all the parts and they did all the machining and assembly of the short motor, i suggest you do the same, as you know what parts you want and they know how to fit them. ie rods , pistons, crank collar etc.

  16. John moyle on main nth rd blair athol, is who built mine. and remember the guy you talk to on the phone is normally just a salesman. you need to talk one on one with the engine builder himself. Dave at john moyle has been building, and dynoing speedway engines for nearly 40 yrs. awesome price, awesome work, and a engine dyno if you want to run it in beforwe you install it. highly recomended places like bdt dont have a machine shop, so your paying for a middle man. i dont see the point.

  18. you guys need to harden up a bit. 044's fit in there simple as, so whats your prob with a 040? attached is a photo of a r33 4 door set up with 044 on stock cradle. go ro pirtek with the photo and say match this please, then go to repco and get a efi v8 falcon fuel strainer and copy. 2 hrs start to finish and that includes going to the shops.
  19. how bout we do a a sau group buy on a G size bottle of nos. we could run a half inch hose unregulated into steves car, and as a bonus everyone else wanting to join the 300 club can have a crack.

  21. lol im only just above the average, is what i was getting at. every other dyno day there is only a small handfull of cars that crack 300 rwkws. it would be awesome if we could get 10 - 20 over that mark. i asuming cubes is gonna thro 2 bar in to take the crown.
