  1. Oh well, I'll be counting on him to get some good shots of my car when I make it back out there in a month's time!!!
  2. Fair enough I suppose... I think it's just that he's bored off his t1ts from taking photos from the same 3 corners everyday of his life, for the past however many years he's been doing it He's just taking those safe high-shutter speed, action freezing photos... No passion in those photos at all... What a pity, with all the expensive gear he has... What a waste
  3. in case ppl haven't caught on, Rezz has some un-natural eternal hatred towards stock skyline wing mirrors very nice R32
  4. I gotta say, JPM takes some really boring photos.
  5. My poor car Stupid ****ing P-platers... Who the fcuk runs red lights anyway? That's got to be the most STUPID thing you could ever do on the roads... Seriously
  6. meshmesh, I could have sworn someone spoke up in the last thread we were discussing this and said he had the APEXi turbos? I could be wrong! If I am, then we should try to find someone with them I should have my car back in 3-4 weeks, so give me a bit of time to run it in, and get it tuned and then we'll be good to go! Doughboy, obviously anyone is welcome to participate... Even if it is with a silly GTS :)
  7. Firstly, losing 20-30% is better than losing 100%. If you're considering hiring a debt collector, don't hire those normal ones that just send letter after letter and don't do anything other than send official looking letters threatening another more serious letter if they don't pay up That kind of debt collector isn't going to acheive anything with this kind of guy. Time to break out the contacts and hire people that will get the job done and your money back.
  8. We haven't set a date as yet I don't think? Later in the year, cos we need time to plan it...
  9. Exactly put as abobob said. Further, then that's really a study of what the stock engines can do, and not a comparison of what the turbos are capable of isn't it? Also, if you buy a T88 and strap it to a stock engine, you'd probably be the kind of person who would believe every word they read in Zoom and take it as gospel
  10. We were going to organise a dyno day down in Melbourne later in the year getting all the GTR owners with different turbo upgrades with similar power goals - 300-350kw @ wheels and dyno them all on the same day and have a definitive comparison. I believe we have everything covered, from Trust T517z, HKS GT2530s, HKS GT-SS, APEXi AX5360s, as well as one high mount single turbo with the same power goal as the low mount options...
  11. Yes that, and I want the reliability of forged internals for the circuit racing I will be doing... I'm also a firm believer of "doing it right the first time"
  12. I'm doing everything shy of a stroker kit. I was just saying that what I'm doing isn't necessary, and won't add any power... GT-SS turbos can be used on a stock engine just fine.
  13. Due to the nature of the automotive industry, and the backstabbing that goes on from workshop to workshop, I won't divulge that publically, in case I want to take my car to other workshops in the future to get some work done.
  14. Car goes in on Saturday for the build And yes, GT-SS turbos are straight bolt-ons... I'm only building the engine for reliability for circuit racing, not to hold the power... Stock internals should be fine. I should have results for you within the month :)
  15. Who knows really? But it says 55,000kms on the odometer.
  16. Careful guys... This can get dangerous... Lets not get SAU in trouble eh?
  17. My car is going in on Saturday and I should get it back in 2-3 weeks I'm not going to publically list everything I'm doing, but it's basically a full engine strip, blueprinting and balancing, and rebuild from the ground up using uprated parts everywhere except for the crank. Mainly for reliability for circuit work, than to hold the power, I won't be making that much with the GT-SS turbos... NOS?
  18. Just buy the N1 block, for extra strength, and rebuild it with all new forged parts. Perhaps an HKS 2.8 stroker or JUN 2.7 stroker... No point in buying an entire N1 engine... the internals won't hold 700hp for very long. I think you should just stick with the GT2530s though... If you shoot for that higher figure, the car will be really sluggish until about 5000-5500rpm and won't be fun to drive unless you're thrashing it 100% of the time...
  19. Remove and replace engine - $1500-2000 (less if you or your mate can do this) Labour involved in the actual stripping down the engine, and putting it back together again - $1500-4000 (depends where you go) Head service - $500 plus any extra machining, and all parts you want to replace.
  20. They should run the turbos with as much boost as they can pump out of them until they fall off their efficiency curve and start blowing hot air. It's complete CRAP to set a boost limit like that to "make a level playing field"... All they're doing is giving the smaller turbo a MASSIVE advantage. As for the T88 making more power top end, you don't know that... You're guessing. But even if that were the case, that's why I chose sample figures at 5000rpm, before the T88 would spool up. The T88's curve would also be WAY below the stock turbos up until 5000rpm (just like the GT-RS in Zoom's stupid comparison)... Does that make the T88 a crap turbo? NO!!!
  21. Seriously... That is the most retarded turbo comparison I have ever read in my entire life. The HKS GT-RS is made for 1.6-1.7 bar of boost. It's designed for high boost and high power applications. Limiting it to 1.2 bar is an ABSOLUTE FARCE. How can they even print this complete bullsh1t story? Do they have no credibility at all in what they write? Ohhhh!!! Look at this comparison boys! We'll compare a stock R33 GTS-t turbo vs. a Trust T88H-34D... But oh dear! We have a boost control problem so we'll limit both turbos to 0.9 bar! OH WOW!!! Look how responsive the stock turbo is, it's making 160rwkw at 5000rpm and the T88 is only making 120rwkw!!! Oh, what a crap turbo the Trust T88 is!!! :) :uhh:
  22. WTF?!?! They screwed the bodykit on with screws on the outside?!?! What complete and utter morons! I suggest you post up those photos and the name of the panel beater in the WA section so everyone knows the quality work they do!!! :uhh: :uhh: :uhh: I'd be piiiiiiiiiiiiiissed!
  23. My HKS GT3040 was high mounted and you could CLEARLY hear it still spinning for about 70-80 seconds after your switched the engine off.
  24. Interesting!!! Well there you go Joel, get to it!
