  1. We would go but we don't fancy riding all that way in the dual cab ute or the red bomber. Flamn blown head gasket!!
  2. Was searching and found this but I have an rb25t NEO engine. Are head tensions the same as quoted for r33? Can any body quote NEO tappet clearances? I am going to use a genuine head gasket, do you have to re-torque?
  3. Actual turbo exhaust housing. Is that what you mean you have? Cheers.
  4. Looks like I will go new head bolts. Are standard NEO valve clearance going to be 0.45mm cold as well? Won't be able to afford poncams.
  5. Can anybody quote neo valve clearances?
  6. I am going to buy a genuine vrs gasket set. What would expect to pay for cams? You say drop in. No lobe relief, different spings or anything?
  7. Any more hot tips? Cheers. Happy boosting!!
  8. I am chasing an exhaust housing to replace a cracked RB25 NEO one.
  9. Happyish on the new year. Had a big night for new year, but our Stagea did a head gasket on the Tues. before. Got head off Friday just (big hang over!!). Checking out turbo today and found a big crack running out waste gate hole, so SSStagea can I buy your exhaust housing off you if it has no cracks?!
  10. I got the head our 98' Stagea yesterday to replace head gasket. Looking at turbo today I found a big crack running out of waste gate hole. I am chasing an exhaust housing only really, no cracks of course!
  11. I got the head off our 98' Stagea yesterday to replace blown head gasket (80k). While the head is off I thought its a good time to give the ports a tickle. Are people match porting out to gasket sizes on both inlet and ex. or just make sure gases are not hitting a shoulder? Are people removing lump in exhaust? Also are people replacing head bolts??
  12. Help please!! I have the head off our 98' Stagea to fix head gasket and found a big crack running out of wastegate hole. I am chasing a exhaust housing only really, with no cracks of course!!

  17. Go the Datsun!!! Why would you spend 200k+ and then some, when you can win in R32 GTR for under 50k. Oh thats right, 3 times straight!! Cheers boys and it sounds like a good save to Jas.
  18. Hi there, it's skidkid's wife here, hoping you might be able to help. On sunday took my car s2 98 auto to the shops, and I noticed when I was about half way there the 4wd light was on, on the dash. When I stopped at a set of traffic lights it seemed to be idoling faster than normal, and when it was my turn at the lights, took off, and it wouldn't change out of 1st gear (had it just in normal with the gear stick at 3), got to the shop, turned the car off and did what I had to do. When it came time to go home it again seemed to be idoling too fast, put in 'D' and off I tried to go, however, I noticed the a/t light flashing and that stayed on for about 20 secs, it was heavy to steer, and started to fluctuate between fast idoling and just about stalling. Stopped the card thought 'shit what am I gonna do, bathurst is on and Jase won't come and get me', started the car again, whacked it in trip-tronic mode and she was all happy again. Been no issues yesterday, but tonight on the way home same thing, 4wd light came on (not flashing or anything) then went off, only on for maybe 10 seconds, stopped at the pub and when I started it againidoling fast and really heavy to steer. Jase took it for a drive tonight cause it's only been happening to me and it would n't change gears for him (only in trip-tronic) and was heavy to steer and no light on. Anyone got any ideas, or should I just put a match to it?????
  19. damo, Are you still looking??

  22. Congrats Leshy, what a cute little boy, hope you are all doing well Thought that I should add our story here, thought I had, but obviously not Our story is pretty much the same as everyone else here. Had been thinking for a while about buying a R33, and then found out the wife was pregnant, so a 2door car with small baby = trouble in my books. Found a couple in QLD through card yards up there (we're both very impatient so importing ourselves was not an option!). Flew to QLD in Nov '06 brought the car and drove home to Tassie with it (must add here the wife was 7 months pregnant at this stage). We haven't looked back since, like everyone else has said, you can comfortably carry a family and the cargo area is a decent size, the pram stays in there all the time and there is still room for the weekly shopping and anything else that neeeds to be in there when you have a little one. I like the fact that it's different to most other cars on the road, and here in Tassie there is not that many of them (unlike Falcadoors etc), so it gts a "look" every now and then aswell. Most importantly the wife loves driving it - her daily driver - and Ella who is now 16 months old loves going for "a boost", I love her very much!!!!!
