Depends how thick the paint is. and if its acrylic or 2 pak I've done this to a few bonnets, Can be very time consuming. I would start with 400, go through to at least 1500 Like i said be very careful once you get down to the carbon layer, It will only be 1 layer. If you go through that its gonna look pretty average.

Yes you can sand the paint off, shouldn't be too hard. make sure when you get down to the carbon dont rub through, because there's only 1 layer. Then it can be clear coated.

I'm sure the first R34 GTR was rolled out end of 1998. And the last one rolled out start of 2003. (Apart from the 20 Z-tunes)

Yeah I can, What size are you after? LSM do great work. gotta love that 4x4 crows foot carbon. Most of the V8 supercars cosmetic parts are made with it, so easy to work with.

I made that lower lip. It does look very good, but driveways are a carbon lips worst enemy. And alot of R32 stuff too... Here's another pic of it.

Just a bit of an update Nismo vents arrived, just molding them now and i will be making Carbon replacements. Will look much better I've also got some GTT reverse lights i'm going to modify. LED inners in Red and White.

I've got a MPIII 34 GTR paintcode LX0 basically it's a dupont chromalusion paint I have the formula saved somewhere if you would like it. I did get a quote for 500ml of base and 500ml of topcoat and it came to $1070 with a 6 week lead time as the paint was coming from Dupont Japan I can remember that most of the price has something to do with a tinter in the topcoat KK700 Here's a pic of My 34 and Choy's 34 shows the difference between MPII and MPIII Don't have any decent pics as the sun didn't wanna come out.
