  2. Just work out exactly what you want and play the patience game. I wanted a MPIII with full service history/books good condition didn't matter to me about Vspec or non Vspec After playing the game for about 6 months one finally come up and I snapped it up straight away, so happy I waited for it. My non Vspec has the TV button on the MFD so that must be normal I guess, Good luck with your search Noy

  7. My 34 GTR has stock suspension, tyres are currently at around 19,000Kms Daily driven. Size: 245/45/18 Brand: Kumho KU36 Treadwear: 180 Even wear, Only rotated at 10,000Kms. Kept at 38Psi About 20% tread left.
  8. Key words there are greatly help.. There is a huge range of aerospace coatings that will help too. The problem is there is no permanent solution. I could rattle on about why but hardly anyone would understand. Best solution would be to paint the carbon parts with a suitable product that will be stable to the TG of the resin/gelcoat used. To give you the simple understanding if your resin or gelcoat TG is 110 degrees C and you have left the carbon finish in direct sunlight, your nice pretty clear coated carbon part will easily reach 140 degrees C So even if you think your nice UV wax or sealant has saved you it hasn't, your part can start to soften and start to break down. Moral of the story, if your car is a dark colour your stuffed either way. If your car is white/silver or a much lighter colour, paint your carbon parts. Or purchase some cquartz or jetseal 109 and get use to regular maintenance.
  9. You need to determine if the parts are finished in clear 2 pak, acrylic or gelcoat... All 3 would need to be treated differently. If you have purchased cheap china knock off parts they will be clear gelcoat, pretty much no way of stopping the milky finish. Due to the fact the clear gelcoats used have no uv protection, you can polish them and get them clear coated but uv will still penitrate and cause the gelcoat to go milky. Only way of stopping this is keep your car out of uv light... or paint the carbon parts the same colour as your car. Just get used to polishing the parts to keep them looking good. sorry for the bad news.

  15. So bit of an update time.... As some of you know my car got rear ended in March... stupid commonwhore driver. I was really worried that the paint was going to be the biggest challenge but the challenge was sourcing new parts. After tsunami's and stupid customs the parts finally arrived... There is 3 Companies I need to give a plug to and thank them for being as patient as me during the 6 months. 1- Chris @ Audio Express My link for sourcing new parts from Japland through the mayhem of tsunami's and Melbourne customs brokers, the parts got here and now my car fixed. I have now got the Carbon bug once again..... 2- Grant @ Exclusive Auto, Newstead My link They perfectly matched the Midnight Purple III paint and repaired my car. 3- Les @ Fat Pipes, Kallangur My link They built me a beautiful new exhaust which is much better than the original Kakimoto system I had. Here is a few pics to update where I'm up to, including pics of the new exhaust. I will get better pics when I put it up on the hoist to do my brakes. And My next Carbon addition, couldn't find a wing that I liked so I got cracking on a custom addition. More pics to come...... Noy

  21. Price seems very fair... description is a little far fetched F1 technology is a bit more advanced than resin infusion. I have a few contacts in the F1 composites world and they are all using Pre-pregs. I am very interested in talking with the guy making this stuff, I make the same products in the same way and I would like to support his business. You have a PM Fatz Great to see more people out there making this stuff. Noy
