  1. looks like the insert that goes in a van down the middle of the console. not from a skyline anyways.
  2. Avira AntiVir personally. Regularly updated, very low memory footprint, not many false positives, unintrusive, and best of all... free. Does come up with a nag screen when you update, but if you use windows to deny running of notify.exe (or make it run minimised) it stops popping up. AVG is OK too, but its a little too cautious for my liking, and pretty crap at detecting even kiddie scripts.
  3. NZ postcode system is fubar. don't even bother. I tried to make a system for a client like 2 years ago and just returned the project with a picture of a spider and my bill for 28hours.
  4. no you musta misheard. I hate ugly people on facebook. I don't do MSN though.
  5. they can't ban me from FB, cos I work on FB developing shiz. best excuse ever for stalking people all day on FB.
  6. I used to love driving my GTR around, I was all euphoric in the knowledge of steering years of heritage and having racing technology and power at the tip of my toes. Then I took it in for a service and found that I had a leaking fuel pump seal, and when combined with removing the rear seat sound partitioning, lead to fumes in the cabin, and me being high. Moral of the story, its just a chunk of metal. Cleverly crafted and technologically advanced beyond most other chunks of metal... but still metal. How you experience that may be biased by what your presumptions are of it.
  7. hurry up and GTFO
  8. lol my 32's not a looker by any means, so I don't post it up. But its like the perfect wife... knows how to take a solid beating like a champ and keeps on working without attracting attention to itself. what? although with these wheels I'm bidding on, GTR fenders, shaved bumpers, CF bits and paint, it might stand out just a touch.
  9. don't make bolt ins. race cages or GTFO. we get secondhand safety 21's from time to time... call roshan (0425855540) and find out. tell him shan asked you to call him, and also remind him that he's a giant knob jockey.
  10. the worst part about it, is that he's a doctor, and yet he refuses to do anything about the multitude of skylines on his left nut.
  11. we weld the mounts for cages in the car, but we outsource proper FIA/CAMS cages to Meridian.
  12. also... wot? he has Face 2 +12's all around. you have Face 1 +21's all around. your wheels are sunken in by 9mm compared to his, AND you have lower brake clearance cos the spokes on your rim run straight and not curved (hence the different Face's). He isn't running spacers. You may have to, cos it may hit the shocks. You may not have to, you'll only find out when you get the wheels... but regardless your wheels will sit roughly 1cm further into the guard compared to his unless you run spacers. comprende?
  13. yeah look not a big fan of the Rota's either, but those boys have to rep the wheels they sell in their shop otherwise their customers will go "why aren't you using them if they're so good?" but as far as stance and fitment goes, that 32's done right... even for a GTSt.
  14. dear alex, fuck off. kind regards, shan please don't weigh in on this when your choice of cars include a poopra, a 300zx and an MR2.
  15. Nice work! You boys in the motherland certainly are good at organising those national meets. But 220? That's roughly how many skylines there are in Thomastown alone. lol if only Australia wasn't so huge, and people didn't have the "meh, its just a skyline" attitude we could try and organise something like that.
  16. Not convinced. I have a Raid 5 array of 4xWD 640GB 7200RPM drives (WD6400AAKS with 2x320gb platters, the most efficient 7200rpm drives.) For a grand total of $400. The boot/swapdisk partitions are striped across the inside of the platter, with larger storage areas towards the outside. The way i see it, each of those have a 3Gbps throughput, which gives me a theoretical max of 12Gbps. Not that I'd ever see it IRL. This was before SSD's got cheap. Waiting for PCI-E RAM adaptors to become available at normal prices so I can move the swapfiles onto 8GB of RAM.
  17. That's Dave from GTRShop's old do-luck R33 GTR. Runs 19x10.5 +12 all around. Yours are +21 offset, which means it'll go into the fenders by 9mm (and also means you have 9mm less clearance with your suspension). You may have to run a small spacer.
  18. found someone stupid enough to offer me more than it was worth. took the profit and bought a VW Golf. Instant free car.
  19. meh it's already sold, some old dude's given me 50% non refundable deposit, just waitin on him to cough up the rest of it.
  20. how do you get 6gbps through a 3gbps SATA bus?
  21. ask him if he wants to buy a 73 camaro cheap cheap
  22. lol my old man used to do R&D on suspension in toyotas. then he got old and became a mech eng lecturer at TAFE. you shoulda heard the lectures i got from him when I swapped the axle in my AE86.
  23. we should just switch everyone to RSS feeds. email notification blows.
  24. too late, I'm already bidding on it. god knows if 10.5 +5 will fit under the back of an R32 GTR guard. Otherwise it's time to get the sledgehammer out again
