  1. Blitz is back on this weekend: http://www.vicpolicenews.com.au/more-news/...ent-sequel.html
  2. Just in case anyone's wondering if you book a month or more in advance at wotif.com you can get the Executive Level Room for $250 a night.
  3. Goodguys just sent out an invitation for a sale on Thursday night, "Supplier Invoice Price + $1" on all items in store. Hopefully that drops the price down a bit from $1400ish. CBF dealing with grey importers, I can buy em direct and not pay the importer the middle man fee. Base body for D5000 is about $800 including shipping direct out of HK. The whole point of this exercise is to get a domestic model as cheap as possible by capitalising on multiple discounts.
  4. tracked down a list of official dealers for Nikon: http://www.nikon.com.au/pagearticle.php?pageid=64-76142d4dbc also came across their sales pitch about fringe dwelling grey importers lol: http://www.nikon.com.au/pagearticle.php?pageid=65-52b9b66212 sound familiar? gonna try my luck at Officeworks or Myer, see if I can haggle a better price. I have better luck haggling with clueless sales reps than at a pro camera shop where they know their stuff.
  5. the S13 that Rush put into the wall at the last comp day is all fixed now. So we'll be there again so Rush can put it into the wall again.
  6. there's one in 260,000 chance that your R32 key will open another R32, S13, 180SX, cefiro, maxima, navara or laurel.

  8. man up, my cef sits 5cm off the ground at the lowest point. i really need to get a bash plate. my lower cotrol arms keep copping manhole covers, ramps and driveways also, I might lowball you on your smashy kit sometime once my 32 is out of the paintshop.
  9. I see your hare at 90km/h and raise you a coyote at 320km/h clicky if you're not squeamish http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s245/54...uff/coyote2.jpg http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s245/54...tuff/coyote.jpg
  10. that's exactly what I did lol. When I contacted them, most of them told me that the models they sold were ineligible as they were parallel imports, not supplied by Nikon Oz. Its the old import vs domestic saga.
  11. now drive around the dusty carpark in circles at 80km/h and show us what your tyres look like.
  12. all the cheap places I found to buy either are all selling import models, which don't qualify for the discount. FFFUUU hmm not a bad point about buying the body only and then adding on lenses, also the single lens D5000 kit only gets a $150 rebate, so technically buying a D90 body with a $200 discount is actually better value for money. Especially given that buying lenses from HK or the US is way cheaper than locally.
  13. So if you haven't heard of it already, Nikon is offering $200 off its kits from authorised resellers. http://www.nikon.com.au/pagearticle.php?pa...=183-015313125d This brings a D5000 kit under the $1000 mark and the D90 to around $1200ish. I'm aware that the two use the same sensors, but the processor on them are different, which accounts for the D90's 4.5 frames per sec. The lenses that come with both kits are different, with the D90's lens coming up trumps, but Nikon owners accumulate lenses, so I'm not gonna consider addon parts in the equation, just the bases themselves. What I wanna know is if anyone on here has used both and found any noticeable differences in the pictures they produce? Also in your opinion is the extra cost of a D90 worth it over a D5000? I'm not someone who's gonna run a photography business etc, I'm more of an amature shooter. The closest I'll probably ever get to serious work might be a personal sextape or two.
  14. he's the juggernaut bitch.
  15. Need a driver side front guard for an R32 GTR. Don't mind if it has any minor dents etc, just nothing mangled. No preference on colour either. Can pick up in metro melb, wouldn't mind getting it shipped from interstate if the price is low enough. Cheers, Shan
  16. yeah, flicking the window down button only works if the car has the key in the ignition and it's turned to ON. and if you're silly enough to park your car like that on a day to day basis then maybe having your car stolen isn't gonna be the biggest worry in your life.
  17. if its an R32 or R33 and its still running, then just push the rubber back from the top of the door, get a coathanger or something in and flick the window down button to roll the window down, so you can get in and turn the car off/unlock the door. duh?
  18. taking pics of lights is retarded, because your camera automatically adjusts the exposure so everything is vibrant. if you're gonna tint your tail lights you should be changing the bulbs sitting behind them to a higher lumen light to compensate for the loss from the tint. also tinting reflectors is bad, having no reflectors is worse. when your car is parked on the side of the road in the dark, they're the only things stopping people on bikes and in cars hitting it.
  19. indians have been making fake KFC in the UK since 2001. get with it guys. they've priced it so cheap that KFC doesn't even bother to open stores near the "PFC" stores. there's probably more PFC's in london than there are KFC's. nigs in KFC don't sell samosa's with their 3 piece feed, that's why they be broke now.
  20. ummm... where's the reflector? no reflector = defect time.
  21. welcome to the forums. if you're shopping for a 33 in melbourne, I'd go with private... even better if its someone who's a regular on here on the forums, as it'll already have a bit of recorded history. avoid buying from P platers generally, altho you do get some responsible p platers. R33's are really hard to sell atm, moreso in melbourne where there's heaps. Being a S2 shouldn't make any difference, and the low value of the S1 (about 8 to 9,000) will work in your favour in dragging the price down. All this works in your favour, so try and haggle it down to 12 to 13k regardless of condition and where you're buying from. You'll be surprised how many people will cave in eventually as reality hits home. There's plenty for sale and its a stagnant market, so take your time and be picky.
  22. we have a guy called Jameszilla in Melbourne, Australia that has a similar love for Ladas.
  23. or a smart investment plan and a bloody good accountant.
