  1. Just a reminder to those of you guys in the northern suburbs that our monthly breakfast meet is coming up on the 2nd of April (so its not an april fool's stunt). Its an age old meet we've had on the first Sunday of each month. There's no cruising, no motorsports or any driving of any kind. You don't have to bring your skyline either if you don't want to. Its just an opportunity to catch up with other SAUers in the northern burbs, or detox with some coffee and bacon and eggs with toast. The reverend skylinegeoff will be conducting the sermon for the day. Location Mill Park Lakes. A show of interest is appreciated.
  2. aw come on man, that was waaaaay too easy.
  3. sydney's love affair with the chrome is legendary... no matter how hard you try someone will always turn up with 20" chromies in some hideous spoke patter (or lack of spokes altogether). Although lovin the fact that guys are pimping out the Chrysler 300's (from memory the 300C's aren't available yet)... VIP style will reign in australia one day... bring on the widebody mitsi 380's, holden statesmen and chrysler 300's
  4. mmm City RSL... lol a fine drinking establishment indeed.
  5. I think the highest k's I saw on a car out of japan was on a bus. It had 1 million k's on it with logs. 150,000km's is fine, as long as the car itself is in a good condition and the engine is healthy (do the checks mentioned before to find that out). Also consider that a 1993 R32 probably came in under the old CPA scheme back in 2003/2004, so its probably clocked a fair chuck of mileage in australia. Apparently aussies add about 20,000km per year to their car.
  6. let me be the first to wish you a warm welcome to 3 weeks ago http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=108086
  7. S2 stags were available in manual from the factory. Keep in mind there are RWD only variants as well.
  8. www.stageasaustralia.com is already linked to SAU from memory.
  9. I'll check at driftline if the stock catback has been returned... someone's always using it to clear epa's.
  10. Boostcruising user... should explain everything Stop... Breathe... Punctuate. I want some of what you're smoking.
  11. ouch 21 grand for that? $13,500 is probably closer to what it's worth. I saw an auction for this same car end a couple of hours ago, and it finished at $16,500 or something like that, with the reserve met.
  12. hmm decoding your model code, according to FAST, its a regular GTR made in May 1997. According to the VIN plate its a GTR V-Spec (W in 6th pos = V Spec). According to FAST that car is just a GTR (Q = Regular GTR). So if the car's got V Spec bits then someone's gone to a fair bit of effort to make sure that they pulled off a fake V Spec. I'd say its a car that was upgraded at the factory for a customer.
  13. some R33's have a combination of printed and engraved plates. Please don't post the same topic in multiple sections... it won't get your questions answered any faster.
  14. The R34 N/A 4 door is just a simple commuter car (pretty much a commodore of japan)... I wouldn't be expecting blistering performance out of it. The mazda's got better power to wieght than your car.
  15. looks like a bag of M&M's is there a colour code that hasn't been done in sydney yet?
  16. Maybe you should write a letter to Nissan asking em why they built em in the first place. I'm sure they'd love to hear your input as to why they shouldn't have made a couple of their best selling commuter cars also I should add... calling an admin a "pooface" is a bad idea
  17. haha canoodlian sam! Its aboot time you logged on here. You gonna get an R32 GTR in canada or what? they've got a 15 year old import scheme still.
  18. LP2 is Midnight Purple, which is a somewhat rare colour to get a GTR in... so if your car is currently Midnight Purple, i'd say that the car was originally supposed to be a Black GTR (KH3), but then the new car buyer asked for a different colour and options when he bought it. Usually the order goes back to the factory and a car is picked off the production line and modified. Having the kanji and brand printed and the rest engraved is normal. I'll see if I can decode the model code so you can check with your car, but I have a strong suspicion that the difference will be upgraded parts. In the meantime, what's the current colour of the car?
  19. hmm will have a look at the attachment checking script... was my old man hooning around in the cefiro again? He loves the new boost controller.
  20. yeah I downloaded some password cracker thingamajiggy that got rid of it. The main delay was to get the full version of Acrobat 7.0 so I could reauthor the PDF's. All done now, unfortunately have to wait till Monday to mail em out.
  21. so does it actually have any lap times and dyno figures of its own, or is everyone simply running around like headless chooks going off figures leeched from the original Mine's tune demo car? Not to take away from the car, its an awesome looking car and spec wise I'd give a left testicle for it, but I'd like to see some numbers.
  22. What to do in Tokyo Do it... do it! Cos if you don't hoards of american tourist fanboys will soon enough.
  23. sorry for pissfarting around guys... just haven't had the time to finish em off. I'll be spending some time tomorrow morning finishing off the reauthoring of the PDF's (stupid japanese seller password protected all of em) and burning em onto CDs so I can send em off on Monday, or if I do em quick enough maybe even before the post office closes on Saturday. Ian or Alex, if you want I can meet up with you somewhere around the Glen Waverley area and give you the CD's for the melbourne based guys so you can hand em out at the next meet. Otherwise I'll just post it out.
  24. gah not more attachment errors... thought the upgrade would have fixed it. Was it a once off or is it a recurring issue (ie is it still happening?)
  25. *** have been in the importing game for a long long while... they're good at what they do, just that recently they sound like they need some motivation to finish things that they start.
