  1. hmmm now that you're engages is this birthday still gonna entail getting blind drunk like all the other birthdays?
  2. not really a big fan of the sedan, but the wagon looks hot. But either grows on you after a while.
  3. That's exactly what I was planning on doing, and if the rep kicked up a stink I'd just let him know its a feature that needs to be tested. Although... my neighbour just bought a Chrysler 300, and it looks like sex on wheels, I've ordered some 21" rims for him and a bentley style grille, he's already getting pedders to drop the suspension 1.5 inches... and that's all its gonna need to look fantastic. Its a bit of poo as far as power you get for the price you pay (they retail for half of what they sell for here in the US and UK) and the interior looks like it belongs in a Kia.
  4. ^^^ what she said. They also came out with a new line of electronics not long ago, and late last year had a massive clearout sale.
  5. Actually I thought it'd be a throwback to the AWD turbo Mazda 323/Familia GTX's of the late 80's than an RX-7. The old AWD mazda's were great fun (and they rocked the rally world something stupid), so if they're anything to go by this new version should be sweet.
  6. should of plastered those indicators with "funkymonkey pwns me" before I sent em... hell... should've written that on the car before you picked it up!
  7. you should buy an R33 GTS4 or an R34 GT, both are well under 20k landed and complied, and have the same looks as its turbo variant. I reckon the best buy atm for P platers is a supra SZ. You can pick up an N/A supra for as cheap as 14 - 15k landed and complied (plus a grand and a bit to have it registered) and you'll have a car that's got some balls and a lot of good looks. check em out: http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/?keyword=supra
  8. as long as you don't go and plonk the number plate on a station wagon I reckon this here car is a much nicer promo car for SAU:
  9. I was watching a TV show about it where they had some reporters test drive it. Basically the prototype (5 door liftback model) had this function where when you pull the handbrake up it cuts power to the rear wheels, and then when you let it off it put power to the rears with a torque bias to the rear. Essentially making it "out of the box driftable". Apparently Mazda wanted to make it appeal more to the younger generation and see it used in extreme sports like drifting and stuff.
  10. maybe one of those chameleon flippy colour like all your VL and R31 brothers seem to love personally I'd be powdercoating it in a coarse matte red, like the Nismo built R1 (?) engines.
  11. roflmao... calm down. I won't call you a gigantic raging homosexual in the future. Just take the interweb with a pinch of salt n have some fun.
  12. lol pick the bunning employee
  13. that's so 1980's funktacular! The sheila's will love it!
  14. 1:18th for lyfe 1:24th is for kids that said, I am prepared to unleash my inner kid... so do you have the Nismo 350Z one?
  15. ok just some points about the "promo car" idea discussion so far... NS.com promo car was owned and funded by loz, and the only thing sponsors did was provide parts/services to finish the car off at a discounted rate. NS.com car was also written off shortly after completion (not loz's fault tho). What happens if something disastrous and unforseen happens to the SAU promo car? SAU dosen't have as many sponsors as we hand pick who we allow to advertise on the site. We try to filter out businesses who aren't well established, or are trading out of their back yard etc. Anyhow... onto the actual SAU promo car... The only way it'll work is if its actually a car owned by and funded by an SAU member. This member will have to be someone that is well known in the SAU community, not some n00b. This eliminates the forum's input into the actual choice of car, as it comes down to the preferance of the person who's gonna fund the car. Mods to the car are also not up to the forum, but the owner. its just well too much headache, as the owner is not only accountable for not just his car, but the forums' car as well, as well as the investment of whoever chooses to sponsor it. As others have said, there will be lots of bitching about what is done to the car, who drives it, who's accountable etc. Its just easier if a member just does it and we dub it the SAU car. maybe have a regular in each state build one, and make them all look similar... eg: R32 sedan drift car from SA, R33 GTSt dyno queen from QLD, R32 GTR drag car from NSW, R34 GTR track car from VIC etc, all painted in similar colours or even just simply decaled similarly (with different sponsors per state). Would look pretty cool and represents what is popular in each state. That said automotive forums in the US have a promo car, an R34 GTR that is funded, tested, tuned and raced by a small group of individuals, and they're goin great guns.
  16. FFS do a search! Thread closed!
  17. OK fine... you're both gigantic raging homosexuals
  18. even when I had a turbo 'line I enjoyed using my N/A R32 daily driver... simply because the cops would pull you over thinking they were gonna be able to canary you, only to not be able to find anything. Plus to all the regular shmucks out there they didn't know the difference between the turbo and the NA other than the pssshhht noise. At the end of the day, its your call on what you do, if you wanna go to that effort just to own a turbo car, then good luck to you.
  19. if he bought any GTS4 other than an R32, then he's the proud owner of a Non Turbo only R32 GTS4's were turbos.
  20. its an R34 GTR... they usually sell at dealerships for over 60k for an average condition non VSpec.
  21. should be fixed by tonight... just gonna make it so that it displays the first 3 sentences of a post and no images.
  22. it should only do it if you type in ALLCAPS... have you been yelling at someone over the interweb again K?
  23. "Stage-A" is an english word... so it should be said in english, not some mispronounced hacked up japanese way. That's the point I'm getting at. So you should be OK saying it as "Stay-Jay" or "Stay-Jah" depending on if you speak the queen's english or American english.
  24. just you winkeh... just you.l
