  1. nice one geeza! although... wonder if anyone in australia's bought that and modified it to look like a datto 240k?
  2. we just used the front and rear hubs of an R33 GTSt to do a 5 stud conversion on a ceffy. We also swapped the RB25DET, gearbox, wiring loom, ECU, power steering pump, rack, alternator, brakes, and brake booster into the A31 (coincidentally also an RB20E auto model). So its mostly compatible. Suspension struts/coilovers are more compatible with the S13. Diff was the same as an R32... or maybe it was an S13... i'm not actually sure on that one, we used a mechanical 1.5 way in any case. A viscous LSD will only last you so long, but if its for regular street use and not track use, then it'll be fine. A31 strutbraces can be bought out of thailand/malaysia pretty cheaply, they're decent quality too (or you can get em from australia, either way you'll get stung with shipping though). You can't fit R32 strutbraces onto an A31, because the R32 ones are 2 bolt and the A31's are 3 bolt. Your best bet would be an adjustable S13 brace (3 bolt), as the distance between the towers of the S13 and A31 are slightly different.
  3. just about to ship mine off to sydney for $350.
  4. *sigh*
  5. no worries, sending email now. Thanks for the prompt reply too.
  6. that'd be the geezer. Troy (ylwgtr) did my clutch last time, took him an hour or so. If you want to pop down to Driftline I can have one of the boys there to do the clutch change for ya, maybe they might do it in exchange for a free detail of one of their cars.
  7. Yeah I've been lucky in that I haven't been hospitalised in the last 10 years or so of my life. The way I figure, rather than paying for something I'll never use, I'll just pay when I do use. Most public hospital bills aren't that large, and I don't have any medical conditions that will require immediate hospitalisation (emergency/trauma excluded, but there's usually no waiting for that even at public hospitals).
  8. silver was the colour of preference when R34's were made (and to a certain extent, still is). So there's a lot of silver R34's to choose from at various prices. The ones people choose to get are the cheaper ones. Hence Silver R34's are cheaper. Everyone loves stan's metrosexually pink (or was it thalmon... sorry salmon) R34
  9. sweet... Ghetto Fried Chicken for dinner this weekend
  10. I've got the Top Extras package with CBHS its about $400 a year, which includes ambulance, but not hospital cover. Basically it gets me rebates on most things like trips to the dentist, optometrist, gym membership, massage and stuff like that.
  11. can you source custom offset wheels in 10.5J and 11J. If not, can you get the inner and outer parts of Work Equips (its a 3 piece rim) in custom sizes? Cheers, Shan
  12. personally I prefer the battle ravaged matte black look painting for the drift R32 started just before the first time you came to check out the car, so I think they beat you to teh gold. I didn't actually see the car until after I got back from QLD, and I remember thinking, "wtf is with everyone painting their R32's gold", thank god I'm painting mine purple. To think you almost painted it hot pink.
  13. hell why not... make that 5. Gomoku!
  14. it won't... different part.
  15. where in the fcuk do you buy celery and garlic salt from? and MSG... thought that was illegal to be sold?
  16. Nice car mate, kit looks nice,a nd love the spoiler. How do you find the handling of the RWD compared to the AWD? One of the guys where I work is considering importing a RWD stag to do a manual conversion and RB26DETT, the way he figures it's a lot cheaper and easier than converting an AWD model... coincidentally he's a kiwi too lol.
  17. It also can't extend past the furthest structural support part of the car (ie bumper) I think the cop just wanted to hassle you a little.
  18. lol funny you should ask, I actually saw one of the insanedrift guys' 180sx fitted with them yesterday, and after checking it out for about 15 mins decided it was an awesome cost effective idea. Lets you retain the shroud and all. While I was at the workshop I took some measurements off a GTR radiator, and worked out it should be a good fit. Although with an RB20DET it might be tricky as theres some hoses in the way and not much clearance with the belts. It won't be a problem with the shorter CA18DET. Made some calls yesterday and found the BA twin thermo fans for $180. They're manufactured by Denso and factory fitted.
  19. blinding is good.
  20. fcuked if I know what his email addy is
  21. ooer i'm divided on this one... it'd have to be teh Vorks (roflmao) or number 6, and the RS GT as a last resort. Number 6 for teh win, only cos I think they're the next big "rim to have"... TE37's and their copies are a little played out now. PS: here's a couple of pics of our workshop demo cars... http://www.driftline.com.au/projects/02/87.jpg http://www.driftline.com.au/projects/04/85.jpg http://www.driftline.com.au/projects/04/90.jpg http://www.driftline.com.au/projects/04/92.jpg
  22. cardboard? dunno. I think he used 180sx sideskirts which he modified to fit the 86. His name's Ronald.
  23. speaking from seeing it on top gear during a track test.
  24. yeah I guess I could... process takes 20 mins. 4 months for me to get off my arse and do it.
  25. oh yeah, bit about teh car... not all of it is in the car (as you can see in the pic), but here's the parts waiting to go in it: CA18DET gearbox and engine TRD 2 way LSD R32 GTR radiator with BA falcon fans (should have it by the end of the week) S13 cross member, powersteering and front suspension/hubs/brakes.
