Hey dudes, Well with the RB25 going into the car i thought i would pull apart the RB20 to see what was wrong with it. I have stripped it back to basically the head sitting on the block....looks like it was leaking oil thru the gasket @ the back (5 & 6) between the head & block. Anyways I have hit a dilehma. I will try an explain as best as possible. In between where the cams run in the 'valley', where the spark plugs live, is 3 bolts tourqued up to the BS, holding the head to the block. There are more 'allen key' bolts sitting on the outside under where the cams run, which are fine, just having a issue with the middle 3. They have a 'allen key' head to them, removing any chance of using socket set. I have figured out that the outer bolts require a 10mm allen socket thing to undo, no probs there. The middle 3 are NOT a 10mm size. It seems they are too big for a 10mm, but too small for a 11mm piece. I have already snapped a fitting used on a breaker bar trying to undo these torqued up MOFOS!!! Also started to 'round' them using the 10mm. Questions is - 1. Is there a specific tool i require to undo these? 2. If not, is the allen key part required a Imperial or metric sized piece? Billy, dude i think that you need to use a combo of 2 engine dampners. Ie use the brace from a S13 and a 'arm' from a 32..... I will be test fitting a few diff products with Just Jap once i get the Cefiro back. Strut braces and engine dampner. Will let you know!

I hear your probs dude.... My Cefiro is running 4 x 114.3 which is a pain for sourcing some sweet rims in any size! Those ones look very nice thou! Just be patient and keep looking... a pair will pop up you like!

No worries Adam, all banter said and done, I WILL be driving very cautiously on the track, dont wont to hurt the poor girl after all the work done to her. More interested in getting to 'know' my car. Back on topic, looking forward to finally getting out there, becoming a track addict!

Considering the Cefiro is a track 'virgin' should be interesting....but non the less Lizzy wizzy girl, i will be hunting you down!! A few dead legs before you jump in the car, could in order.... The car should be setup good, has the goodies to the trick, stripped, cage, suspension, power, semi's.. just needs a decent driver.... LOL BRING IT ON!! BBRRRRRR its cold in here.... there must be some skylines in the atmosphere..... oh dear that was so so sad.... *sigh*

Dont be tight and go buy some cheapo 15"s and chuck some semi slicks on em!!!! Im getting some 17's for daily use and the current 15' SSR rims will be track set, with semi slicks.....hopefully

Oookkkkaaaayyyy...... very insightful there mate LOL Konect - Yeah true they slot the display for the auto's in that area....but that said.... wonder if it is easy to source that 'middle plate' so to replace & remove the auto crap.... i know it is a negligable thing but would make a difference having it there since most are converted IMO.... Hhhmmm might see if it can be sourced...

Sweet!! One thing thou...my cefiro was factory auto converted to manual like most and still shows the various P, N, R, 123 etc inbewteen the speedo & revs, the long rectangular area. BUT it appears that yours has the auto section grey'd out / covered. You can see the outline of it in your pic so wondering if it is a auto dash but had the 'auto display' removed......

As topic states, just looking @ getting my hands on a mech LSD for the Cefiro and not 100% sure whether the rear end of a R32 GTS-T or R32 GTR will fit up ok!? I hear all this R200 & R180 talk and being 5 or 6 bolt, but i am just a little lost. Simply need to buy a mech LSD for a RB25DET converted Cefiro lol Any help would be greatly appreciated!
