  1. I had a problem with replacement injectors I got for my R30. The injectors had trouble working at low duty cycles, ie idle. The injectors basically just shut down when trying to idle the engine, although the injectors tested ok on the workbench. I would advise a cautious approach to using Powerflow injectors.
  2. Actually, the suspension should be adjusted so that the weight distribution across an axle is 50:50. But, in the absence of a set of corner-weight scales, adjust the wheel-to-guard distance to be the same across an axle.
  3. My experience is that one of the intercooler pipes hasn't gone back together properly. They sit together to prevent air leaks under vacuum (cruise, 'off-boost') conditions, but as soon as you get some boost, the gap just opens up - you get maybe 1psi if you're lucky. Check ALL the IC piping joins that they are securely assembled.
  4. Frankly, a genuine "Hakosuka" is too rare a car to go around bastardising it with late model equipment. It will retain its value far better if left in original condition. IMHO.
  5. Have you done a compression test on it - to rule out a warped head? Has it got spark?
  6. Sorry, but that's rubbish. When I did the swap in mine, it all just swapped over.
  7. You should be able to swap the internals. Actually, I don't think that is an ABS sensor (don't know what it is though). The ABS sensors are usually on the output of the diff. The bit highlighted would appear to be something hydraulic.
  8. I need a pane of glass, roughly 600mm x 400mm, replaced. PM if you can help. Tx
  9. Just moved out of my current rental, and the agent wants me to get the carpets cleaned (before they rip them up anyway). The carpets were old when I moved in 13 years ago! Anyone here have a carpet cleaning business, or have friends / family in the business, that can give me a "this carpet can't be cleaned" excuse note to give to the agent. Any help appreciated.
  10. If the battery won't last a week, it's time for a new battery.
  11. This is from gofastbits.com
  12. What (rear) spring rates are you running? You might need to soften it up a bit so the arse end can squat down and put the power to the ground.
  13. How's the battery? Tried jump-starting?
  14. Remove the cover plate off the diff housing, remove the drive shafts, and the diff centre basically falls out. To undo the pinion nut, lock out the flange against the block with something like a cold chisel, then use a BIIIGGGG breaker bar to get the leverage to undo the nut. The pinion comes out the same direction as the centre.
  15. They are based on the Tomei specs. Just need to understand what each bit means then you can calculate the other bits.(R32) RB25DE Ex - 232 duration, 7.3 lift, opens 54 BBDC, closes 2 BTDC, LCA 118 In - 240 duration, 7.8 lift, opens 9 BTDC, closes 51 ABDC, LCA 111 overlap = 7, LSA = 114.5
  16. RB20DET Ex - 240 duration, 7.8 lift, opens 60 BBDC, closes TDC, LCA 120 In - 240 duration, 7.8 lift, opens 5 BTDC, closes 55 ABDC, LCA 115 overlap = 5, LSA = 117.5 RB20DE Ex - 240 duration, 7.8 lift, opens 57 BBDC, closes 3ATDC, LCA 117 In - 232 duration, 7.3 lift, opens 5 BTDC, closes 47 ABDC, LCA 111 overlap = 8, LSA = 114 Now, if anyone understands all that ... It would appear the best might be to just use the DE Ex cam.
  17. They are still copyright. It is stealing! Try www.pitstop.net.au for the 32 GT-R manual. Try www.jpnz.co.nz for the 32 Engine Manual. Hell, maybe even Nissan might be able to supply them! They are there if you look.
  18. They are all copyrighted by other people. We should not be promoting breaking the law by freely distributing copyrighted material.
  19. I have one from a Stagea RB25DET - $50
  20. You can swap just the diff itself. You MUST swap both the Crown Wheel and the Pinion - they are a matched set. Have fun undoing the pinion retaining nut!
  21. Stocko wheels are 16". No wonder 15s don't fit!
  22. Wolf will have an appropriate sensor setup to work for you. Talk to Robbie there.
  23. Sorry, but that DOES NOT COMPUTE!. You need fuel and spark to produce power. Take one away, and you get nothing. So how can removing fuel cause the idle to stutter, but removing spark doesn't affect idle at all? If the coil isn't firing, then it won't matter a cracker if you have fuel or not. So disconnecting the injector won't have any effect on the idle.
  24. This is VERY confusing. What exactly is the problem? Is it the high idle, or is it #6 cylinder not working? (you shouldn't get high idle with a dead cylinder). Then you're saying idle dropped when you disconnected #6 coil. But it should have dropped when each coil was disconnected. That says #6 is still working, yet you stilll have the problem. Maybe I'm just getting old, but it all makes absolutely no sense.
