  1. Ummm, I wouldnt put much faith in those numbers. My 32 GTR has only a turbo back exhaust, boost restrictor removed and might have been tuned in japan (its still stock ecu though) and makes over 200kw at all 4 wheels... which when you convert to power at the engine would be up towards 300kw... and i dont think those very limited modifications would add over 110kw.
  2. Well thats conclusive proof then. Don't know why japanese writers of GTR magazine would say it is one of the good indicators of the engines life/history of treatment....Given it only comes off under extreme heat beyond normal use.... but what would they know....
  3. Glad you are happy with your car - it sounds awesome. And I am happy with mine, lets leave it at that.
  4. Im not saying if the plennum is clean then the car is fine. It is not the only check of a GTR, anyone knows that.... and ppl can respray them. BUT - If the plennum is chipped like the one in that photo the car is a POS NO QUESTION!! But don't take my word for it - Buy one like it and find out for yourself...
  5. Haha, as mentioned above D-Speed indicators are worth around $500.... so you wont find anyone with a set of them just laying around...
  6. Wow, show me where you can get them at that price? I'll buy 10 and sell em to ppl for double the price.
  7. Here are what the D-Speed indicators look like fitted to an R32 GTR:
  8. Oh dear. You could not be more wrong. Traffic will never do that. The only way that paint comes off like that is when the engine is running HOT... as in racing HOT.... and without modifications to counter problems in rb26 engine design such as oil circulation that means that with the car being pushed that hard the engine will be fooked. I have had articles from GTR magazine in jpn translated and even they listed a plennum flaked like that as one of the primary ways to identify a GTR that has had a hard life.
  9. Gun metal grey 32 gtr heading up Royal Pde away from city bout 5pm... gave you a thumbs up! BNR-32 or sumthin like that (also gun metal grey 32 gtr) city bound bout 6pm, Nepean Hwy Mentone.
  10. If you dont't mind, i was curious about what you hab budgeted for the car purchase?
  11. Cheers, I am really happy with it. I have no plans to change anything cause it looks exactly how I want it to. Love the rims you put on yours man, looks awesome on silver 32!
  12. Isn't the best?? Haha, thats an understatement When the plenum looks like that the car is f**ked... no question! - the car has to have been raced hard for that to happen. Guarantee if you bought that you will be up for complete rebuild immediately. Good 32 GTR's in japan still sell for a LOT of money believe it or not. When a car is cheap there is no mystery - it is simply just one of the shitters needing a LOT of money spent to make them up to scratch.
  13. Price is just a function of supply and demand...
  14. As stated, are the climate control units in R32's the same in both gts-t and gtr? I am pretty sure they are... The problem I have atm is that the moment I turn on my a/c the fuse blows (in the fuse box it is on the top row, 4 in from the right) Has anyone had a similar problem or know how to fix it? I think it is spose to have a 10 in it, i tried a 15 and that blew instantly too... When I press a/c the engine revs rise and stay up so I assume the compressor is comming on but it wont go cold... I know that the system has gas also. EDIT - Also, when i press off - there is a constant clickin noise that i can hear - it keeps clicking the whole time i am driving (need to turn off stereo to hear it) even though i pressed off on a/c unit and the temp seems to stay quit hot actually.
  15. Nah, my friend owns Al's first car. My gts-t I bought from a guy in the country dead standard and I made a few changes. But now I have the GTR Al bought ya. Love it! Really like your car now, the rims look really nice and suit it perfectly!
  16. Yeah, first person to actually come and look at it bought it. Easiest sale ever. Thanks.
  17. Yeah and they are both 32's! Only 2 cars I have owned and I luv 'em
  18. They are WORK Emotion XT-7's - 18x9.5 I duno what offset they are though cause I wanted to know also. When i can be bothered i'll check them. *Edit* - I am pretty sure the offset is +12 though
  19. My first car (now sold): My new car:
  20. Do all you guys have aftermarket water temp gauges? How do you know the exact water temp to the degree?
  21. Ive had a fair bit of interest but no1 has managed to get time to come and look at it.... Shame cause it is a great car and its just sitting in my garage waiting for its next owner....
  22. Nah, I have never really been on a cruise, only with a few friends etc. And yeah its the original turbo. Mechanically it has been kept very original.
