  1. using 91 on a skyline is not a good idea.... ping pong............
  2. Duno what state you are from, but in Victoria that is not the case. My friend and I were pulled over in his 32 gts-t which comes factory with 16" rims (as the placard will confirm). He has 18" rims on his car and we were pulled over by police who checked rims and tyre placard and confirmed they were okay (you can go 2" over stock but that is the limit), but that didnt stop them defecting him for road height.. If its not one thing its the other....they can always find something
  3. they are legal, its a factory component. Check that no hoses in the engine are loose, my boost gauge (just the factory one in the instrument cluster) was sitting at zero once when I was driving, the hose that connects to the map sensor had come off...
  4. All Hale GODZILLA!!!
  5. Nice man, that thing is clean as a bean! P.S - Nice placement of the G35 in the backgroud!! I like your taste in cars
  6. My parents have a 99 Magna, and it is a great car to drive, very smooth, excellent engine with plety of response and torque... However, when you drive it through a corner slightly harder it does understeer and powering out of a corner is far more difficult than a Commodore. I would still take the Magna over the Commodore a million times over, it is better built, MUCH better engine, MUCH MUCH better transmission and as a family car it performs its function very well. But it does highlight the weakness of FWD, but its not a performance car so I don't see it as an issue. A hot hatch is meant to be sporty, but with FWD it will torque steer and understeer, I saw a clip with J Clarkson in the hotted up Astra, he left his hands off the wheel and floored it from stand still, and as boost came on the steering wheel would just turn... Overall though I think the hot hatches handle well and are good cars, (i'd take the Golf GTI before the XR5 though for sure!!) but I really would not say they handle as well as 33 gts-t etc.
  7. The R32 GTR sold for $110,00 and that is in 1992 ( Im pretty sure, maybe 1991). They only bought in 100 and could not even sell all of them, they struggled to shift the last few!
  8. This is its only good angle if you ask me!
  9. Hey check out this Veilside R32 GTR I spotted on J-spec.... It's ermmm.... different:
  10. My mate has an r32 GTR, it has a cat back exhaust, and he removed the boost restrictor (a piece of plastic that comes for the factory). So its pretty much un-modded, he put it on a dyno and it pull 197kw at all four wheels, if you covert that the rwd its about 230kw at the rear wheels. The Nissan stats may say the car had 206kw (at the flywheel) but that simply isnt true, and by doing something as simple as taking out boost restrictor (5 mins - no cost) and an exhaust, which every skyline has just about, u can have nearlly 200 at all 4 wheels! So I wouldn't put them in the same league based on the fact Nissan claimed they had the same power figure when new, they wouldn't say it was over 206kw even if it was because the Japanses car manufactures at the time had a "gentlemen's agreement" not to build cars with over 206kw... you will see quite a few cars with that exact figure... amazing coincidence??? I think not. At the end of the day one is a twin turbo 2.6, the other is a 2.5 single turbo...think about it
  11. Kool, thanks for the clarification.
  12. Herald Sun - Cars Guide - Friday August 24th They compared it to the new civic type R and said the gti was the better of the two!
  13. Highflowed?
  14. Thats for sure! Got to love engine rebuilds as part of your maintenance routine...
  15. Are you from America? How can you call a Stagea a "small car" Anyway, you also mentioned looking for a Stagea engine..... unless I am mistaken they have an rb25det just like an r33 gts-t? What is the difference?
  16. Hot tip, If you want a V8 you should buy....umm whats it called....one of those.....ermmm..... the cars that come with those 8 cylinder engines.... oh yeah a V8 - NOT a skyline
  17. I suggest running the VIN through FAST to ensure it truly is a v-spec!
  18. There are more 33's man, heaps more of them came in, more than any other (32 or 34)
  19. Nice car.... But if you are going to do anything PLEASE get rid of them rims, anything would be better than them, but if you get some good ones you will improve the way it looks a million times over. Its black so its got massive potential!! As for performance, as mentioned above, exhaust, boost controller, fr mount & Power FC
  20. More R32 pictures:
  21. Hmmm yes and further enjoy the fact that (in the case of the commodore) you have one of the worst most unrefined transmissions put into a car, horrible sounding V6, boat to drive, the most common car on the road.... I drove a VY SS Commodore on the weekend.... I cannot describe how underwhelmed I was... I thought the massive torque would highly impress me... My parents 3.5 Magna v6 feels more torquey/responsive down low... In my 5 minute drive the transmission was caught out 4 times with a loud bang and clunk after over a second from my input through the accelerator... mmm gotta love that response! So much road noise! A real dissapointing car. But yeah go ahead, buy a commodore
  22. Another of my fav r32's:
  23. Here are some more cars you would like......
