  1. To clear the above question regarding the side indicators on R32's it is my understanding that when compliancing these cars it depended on the person compliancing the cars interpretation of the ADR relating to the indicators. Basically the ADR says that they are only required if at a certain angle the front corner indicator is not visible. But if you look at your front corner indicators they have a bit that protrudes at the edge with a second bulb. This allows the indicator to be seen from a greater angle to the side (and rear) of the car than would be otherwise possible. So some compliers obviously felt this covered the ADR while others were not certain and took the "its better to be safe than sorry" option. Wow, I never thought I could right so much about something so small.....
  2. I agree, plus my mate has the exact same car with same mods (except exhaust is nismo not x-force) plus his ecu has had remapping, and his car is just under 10 pounds, he has to boost his car to get to 12pounds which does make sense.
  3. The smoke is petrol, there is so much cause the engine is receiving a lot of petrol... the engine is protecting itself if anything, so its not something to be worried about, but rather something to get fixed so it can run at its optimum.
  4. Well that makes sense, those are the EXACT same mods I have, (x-force exhaust & a pod)... and I really think it is running too rich like others have mentioned. I have never tuned the car in the first place, i put a boost gauge on purely for looks and it says my car is running 0.85 bar but it is stock bar the mods mentioned and it is not boosted!! The only issue is that I have heard that getting a tune/dyno costs like $700??? That seems awfully expensive!
  5. If you are mechanicaly handy, I would suggest giving the aac valve a good clean out, im sure there is a guide somewhere on this forum on how to do it!
  6. For that kind of power you are likely going to need a front mount, boost controller, re-map of your ecu, exhaust system (3" turbo back) and maybe an upgraded fuel pump... For all that installed/performed.... I'd estimate $3-4000 depending on brands and who does the work!
  7. ^ +1... hoses are critical.... go through the entire engine bay, any that are split at ends not on 100% you should replace with new clamps to hold them on firmly!
  8. whaaa??????? My tank is 61litres..... and I average 10-11 litres per 100km (3" turbo back and a pod) and I dont drive slow either... There is deffinately something wrong with your cars fuel consumption!!!

  10. Haha, I was gunna say! I know its petrol smoke, but my query was relating to the amout of smoke... it only happens when I have the pedal drilled into the firewall.
  11. As the title suggests, do many of you have a lot of smoke comming from your exhaust under full acceleration? I was driving with my mate behind me and i redlined 2 gears and he said there was a lot of smoke comming out the back. Now I know that this is expected as the engine will pump a lot of petrol so the car does not run lean, but what are your experiences? I have a 3" turboback system... I think my air filter (pod) is a bit dirty too, but oil is fresh and its more a black smoke and only happens under full throttle and when revved right out...
  12. Yes, thanks for that inspiring piece of wisdom Yoda, but R32 GTR V-Spec's were NOT sold in 1989! Better luck next time!
  13. I cant believe you typed that on a skyline forum.... tisk tisk. You should do your research! I know im being pedantic but still, gotta at least get facts relating to skylines accurate on sau!
  14. Well here is mine: Bugatti Veyron (how can you say no to the fastest most expensive production car in the world): Nissan Skyline R34 GTR Z-Tune, I love skylines, so I can't pass up the best one ever built: The soon to be released Audi RS6 (with lamborghini V10 that has been twin-turbo charged), something cruisy for day to day: n.b - (unoffical photo) That would be a sweet garage. Then with my own money, I would buy (once it comes out) a VE SS-V ute in white, dumped on its arse with 20" bbs rims and chev badges...... dont ask, I just like them!.... And a 32 GTR V-SpecII.... and ...... and.........
  15. Thanks! From your signature it looks like you have some clear indicators as well? I luv them, make the car look a bit more modern.
  16. Wow........... The 2 guys standing next to the car with full matching race suits didnt give away that this may be a race car and not a road car... and the roll cage, the fact it has a huge amount of aero kit, slick racing tyres.... THE HELMETS ON THE BONNET didnt give you any hint that this may not be a car for road use?? You honstly thought this is a car you could buy and drive on the roads here... Do you look at formula one cars and think, hmmm they are fast, maybe I should order one to get me to work a bit quicker.... I am speechless
  17. Heres mine at the carwash on the weekend:
  18. $9k for a non-turbo is about right given it needs a new front bar as well. You would probably put it up for $10k on carsales or whatever, but for all the hassle and having ppl come test it and not show up, etc, etc, etc - I'd be tempted to just take the $9k.
  19. Are you f*ken high?
  20. Yeah it has to be a turbo back exhaust, then you would be looking at about 200rwkw...... hope your getting good tyres! Pod filter wont do anything but sound kool, i am seriously considering going back to standard air box.... the pod is just a hot air filter! But I am addicted to the sound of induction....
  21. Yeah I want a Calsonic R32 GTR for going to the shops some weekend driving and what have you. Then get something conservative like a V8 supercar for going to work monday - friday.
  22. If you put coilovers on a 32 and a 33, the 32 should handle better cause its lighter and more nimble....
  23. Put simply, NO. That is not a common conversion and if someone has done it there would have been a lot of cash spent, they are expensive engines if in good condition! An r32 gts-t can still be modded to get good power. 160rwkw is relatively easy with ecu, exhaust and some boost. If thats not enough then the next step up without spending a whole lot would be bolting on an r33 turbo (get it highflowed) boost it and get a front mount to go with it, and maybe GTR injectors or aftermarket ones, and an aftermarket fuel pump. You would have some decent performance out of that
