  1. I duno, thats why I asked? I thought the vvt was incorporated into that cover looking thing...
  2. If it is a neo, why does it not like this:
  3. I took my car for a dyno run at RE Customs. Ray was really helpful, he did a pre check of the car and told me it was running lean and deffinately in need of a fuel pump and did not run it on the dyno to protect the car... He immediately impressed me and you can tell he knows his stuff. Also, I have heard nothing but good reports!
  4. I don't see how this is in question... The japanese make the best parts for their cars and know how to get the best out of them... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDiTWaIhLNw
  5. I assume we get a printout of the best run given to us on the day?
  6. there are some around but none that I know of specifically in Frankston... There really don't seem to be many imports in the area... more commodores
  7. WTF??? Neva seen anything like that
  8. Well I had thought my car was not running right for some time, and a few mechanics offered possible causes but weren't sure (my issues weren't the same as yours) so I took it to a dyno. The put it on and were doing the pre-checks and then the guy called me over and said "Does this car have a fuel pump?" and I just said its never been changed so it would be the original one... He then said this car is running lean and that it needs a fuel pump replacement! He said not to rev it out till I get it fixed. I just got a call from my mechanic to say that the fuel pump is in (Bosch 040) and that it is like a different car... He said it feels like it has 30% more power and revs out much cleaner! I can't wait to pick it up.......!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Yeah that is my 32. I really like them rims. One of them has bad gutter rash atm after a slight mis-hap on my behalf, but its not hard to fix - otherwise though I really like the rims, really simple and clean like the rest of the car. *Edit - Although it looks it in the photo, its not actually black, I had it resprayed gun metal grey with blank tint so it looks darker. Quite happy with the result actually!
  10. Yeah, he said you bought like steering wheel boss off him a while ago. I really like your car man, I wish I had the balls to make mine that low! You should come for a drive with us some time.
  11. I fail to understand why you have not removed the pictures of it. This thread is called "R32 Pix Only". If there was a thread called "What is the worst car ever built" then you could post it there... Why anyone would purchase an absolute heap like that Daewoo is beyond me, I understand that people may have a limited budget, but there are many better options, I pity your brother driving around in it and I pity you even more for photographing it.
  12. How the f*k did pictures of a Daewoo Matiz get in this thread???!!! That car is a POS, I am sorry.... 0-100km/h in 20.7sec...... and looks like arse - PLEASE delete it as it does not belong here let alone on the road
  13. Advertising it above 30k you might as well not bother advertising it at all.... to get that kind of money you will be waiting a lifetime and never sell it. Over 30k ppl can get 33 gtr's and plenty of other brand new cars... but believe it will sell for that kind of money if you want....
  14. Might have something to do with the fact that you are surrounded by tonnes of concrete which isn't the best for sending radio waves through...
  15. Actually the r32 has an aerial in the rear windscreen also... My car needed front windsreen replaced and the new one had no aerial but the rear windscreen has one so its not too bad, but the reception isnt the greatest at times...
  16. Sorry bout the lack of quality, but it was phone camera...
  17. 3k launch, stock as a rock (manual) 6.5secs
  18. From my understanding (and per this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=182996 ) the price of $120-130 will be the top spec model and not the lower versions. I believe it is called the GTR EVO.
  19. Ah ok, so you would just overfill it for the track then drop a litre out when you go back on the road? Is it bad driving it day to day with one litre too much oil? I would have thought it wasnt a good idea
  20. Do many ppl with GTR's get the tiny oil restrictor put in to help correct the problem? or is that only if you plan on trackin the car?
  21. I am looking at buying one that is very stock (only exhaust, and the boost restrictor has been removed - but its only running 12psi) and it made 197awkw... I don't plan on modding it any more because I will be happy with that as it is... so I was checking that if i look after it, it will be a reliable engine
  22. Yeah true, the only real exception is Toyota I guess, paticularly 2jz's
  23. From what I have read, the main problem with the RB26 is that when raced/tracked all the oil stays around the top of the engine and when this happens it doesn't take much to do major damage....
  24. As title says, why do so many people have rebuilds done on these engines? Are they not well built and reliable? Or are the people doing rebuilds the ones that have modded the car too heavily or driven the car with little respect on a track etc? Surely a relatively stock rb26 if serviced regularly and looked after will last as a solid engine?? Any opinions welcome
