  1. Well i have basically narrowed it down to the ground, cause atm it just on wat is essentially tin, in the boot, and i want to change it to under the rear seat, but i could not get it out?? wat am i doing wrong and i would be very interested in seeing the ariel you are talkin about, and where i would get one?? very much appreciated!!
  2. Hey guys, thanks for the help, and the advice re: report button, will make use of it in the future cheers
  3. I must have given the wrong link, this is the one it should be: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=118271 If not, it is it "Skyline & Other Vehicle Specific Discussion" and is under the topic heading "Does Anybody Know..., some facts.." started by jessy_vincent Sorry for the mistake guys, no need for insults.
  4. Please delete this topic and the user responsible for its creation, this is nothing to do with skylines australia and shows the users clear dis-respect for this site: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=118156 much appreciated!!
  5. Hey guys, My 32 2door has a basic pioneer mp3 headunit, 6inch spkrs in front doors (sum cheap brand came with car), pioneer 3 way 6inch in rear parcel shelf which are amped along with a 12" pioneer sub. The amp is a jvc 4 channel (bridged for the sub). i got a standard cable pack from jb hifi, connected everything and there is a buzzing noise wen the car is running and it fluctuates with the revs. The ground is in the boot on the left, i have tried a bolt on parcel shelf and a bolt near boot clamp. The cable is 10 gauge and 8 gauge made no difference. A mate suggected takin out rear seat and i should find a bolt on the chassis under there, but i cant get the rear seat out??? Any ideas/suggestions much appreciated, cause otherwise im gunna have to take it to jb hifi / autobarn or somewhere get them to fix, which i got a quote of minimum $120 which seems a rip for a simple problem. Thanks P.S - The rca's and power run down seperate sides, the rca's have a splitter at the amp end (necessary cause of single output from head unit.) i sanded down ground points, also some times when I go from radio to cd or if i turn down to "0" volume it makes a loud POP. P.P.S - When I bought car, front windscreen was replaced, new one didnt have aerial, can i get some kind of aftermarket booster etc, and how much would they be, cause reception is pretty poor.
  6. Hey, I didn't know where else to post this, sorry if it has been asked before but i couldnt find it. How do i change my profile so that underneath my avatar picture instead of saying 'RB20DE' it says 'RB20DET' given i own a gts-t. I've seen other ppl's who have this so there must be a way. Thanks for the help
  7. This probably isnt much help, but it is a start..
  8. Here is a personal fav...
  9. As above, going from a TURBO 32 to a non-turbo 33 is a downgrade, plain and simple. Also if the only reason you are changing is for improved fuel consumption i would not be expecting much. The amount of time and money you will spend selling one car and making sure the next one is good would completely negate any potential fuel saving. If you want a fuel sipper get a toyota echo, otherwise enjoy your car and spend a little extra each week, life is short!!!
  10. Well I have a 32 gts-t as well and i get at least 500km to a tank, I have to drive it very hard to get under 500. My mate has the same car and wen running 12psi it still gets at least 350km to a tank. I would be concerned if my car was relatively stock getting 300-350km to a tank. Both of our cars have pod filter, 3" exhaust and he sometimes boosts his (as mentioned) plus he has a power fc.
  11. Firstly, that mock Ferrari: the type of people impressed by a Ferrari are the same people that would know instantly that was NOT a Ferrari and an embarrassment to its owner. Ferrari is the pinnacle of the automotive world and making a copy like that is a disgrace. The r324 looks really weird and personally if I saw it driving down the street I would not be able to contain my laughter. Why not buy what you can afford and make it look as good as it can, a 32 GTR can be made to look very mean and turn heads very easy, a mutant 32/34 will turn heads too but for all the wrong reasons. But thats only my opinion, if you think a mock car looks good and you want to drive one then by all means, go right ahead.
  12. http://www.ne.jp/asahi/tomosang/skyline/data/index.htm No information (unless you read Japanese in which case everything you could possibly want to know is there) but there are lots of pictures from original brochures which you may find interesting. Also: http://www.importforums.com/carsinfo.htm Some comparisons of acceleration figures of import cars. Not sure how accurate it is though but again may be of interest.
  13. I had a non standard wing (some twin wing thing, how it connected to boot seemed exactly the same as normal with though, i didnt like it, should try and sell it) on my 32, and it only had 3 bolts on each side. I'm a little confused though, cause you say if you are careful you wont need a respray?? I am soon to get a kit fitted on and sprayed etc and at the same time i will be doing the boot, cause they need to weld in the holes smooth out and respray the boot. Are you just going to drive around with holes in your boot or what?
  14. I too have a r32 gts-t and I am convinced that mobil synergy 8000 is the best fuel. I get the most mileage out of it and when i use bp ultimate or shell optimax i tend to notice a stonger smell of petrol when i have car ideling on cool down. I read an article on ethanol fuels and im pretty sure i remember reading that Nissan had released a statement that Nissan owners of cars pre 2002 (i think) should not use an ethonal fuel of any mixture. Personally I wouldn't bother with extreme, if you really want more octaneyou could use a octane booster, but again not a lot a point if your car is relatively stock. (using synergy i got 560km at which point the needle was on Empty but i filled it up and it took 51litres so it wasnt bone dry obviously, but either way thats less than 10lt/100km and on that same tank i had a few runs with my mates g-tech and wasn't exactly puttering around town on Sunday afternoon's.)
  15. Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew how many r32 skylines (gts, gts-t, etc not GTR) were produced in 1993 before production of the r33 started, or at what stage during 1993 they stopped r32 production?
  16. No worries guys, i thought it would be appreciated at sau.
  17. Hey guys, I have searched for some time and eventually stumbled across this site tonight. It has heaps of high quality images of the original r32 skyline brochures with pics of all the original options etc. Text is obviously in japanese but still well worth a look for r32 fans. See what you think http://www.ne.jp/asahi/tomosang/skyline/data/index.htm
  18. I just got that exact same exhaust pictured in your initial post put on my r32. Got my mechanic to fit it, he had a few issues with the angle it came out on, and had to bend it back a bit cause it looked stupid. But its all fitted and sounds awesome, feels powerful, looks great and i couldnt be happier with it. Goodluck
  19. Personally, I agree with most people, as it is you should keep the wing one, but if you lowered it and maybe put on a GTR front bar then definately take the wing off, clean car though man, i like it!!
  20. A mate of mine has an r32 with an rb25det in it. He just called up Nissan and asked them if the r32 skyline ever came with an rb25det in it, which I didn’t and they said it did, and put it in writing. Lucky him, u can try that, cause the r32 did come with an rb25de (non turbo) so they mite not know the difference. And as far as performance his is definitely the best of both worlds, torque of the bigger engine and light and better looking r32. Best of luck
  21. Hey, Nobody seems to have mentioned that there were only ever 400 r32 gtr v-spec II's built. When you consider how many of them are probably scrapped or crashed, a genuine vspec II in good condition is quite a rare vehicle. A friend in japan saw one at a dealership recently with 18,000kms and even in japan it was selling for close to $40,000 AUS before onroad costs etc. Also as far as i know vspec II's were only built in 1994 as mentioned above. I like the fact you only want to buy an r32 shape, the original godzilla is my favourite by far!
  22. Thanks heaps for the help guys. I'll have to wait and see if i have got a dump/front pipe all in one, but im thinking it will be, cause i looked on the website for the company that make them and it says 'Full turbo system'. Heres hoping anyway, im thinkin the entire system should resemble something like this... Cheers
  23. Well turns out I wont be gettin system today because of delays, but the guy gettin it in for me confused me. I asked him if it was definately turbo back and he said no, but it has a dump pipe?? My understanding was that a dump pipe is a pipe from the turbo back to the cat, meaning if you have a dump pipe you have a turbo back system?? Is that correct?
  24. Hey guys, I am getting a brand new stainless steel 3" turbo back system with high flowed cat installed on my r32 tommorow. At the moment i have a very cheap 3" cat back that came with the car when i bought it. It drones terribly and at 80km/h i can barely hold a conversation in my car without yelling which is the main reason for the upgrade. But what i was wondering, was will the new exhaust with dump pipe and high flowed cat give much better performance than the current system i have? Cheers guys
  25. Thanks for the help, Sorry to be a pain, but im new to this forum, What is "Predator Sis"? i cant seem to find anything showing how to convert the latch, cause if i can avoid spendin $450 i would like to. Cheers
