Greddy Profec B Settings
Devils_Advocate21 replied to Devils_Advocate21's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Anyone able to assist me here -
1 x greddy profec b II installed Problem is i am still trying to set two boost levels and that which to keep them stable around there instead of bouncing back and forth. Boost up boost down. The levels i would like to set are 1.2 bar or 16.5 to 17psi for high boost and .85bar or around 9-10 psi low boost Turbo= hks 3037pro s Internal Gated. If someone could help me out on what settings they have used to gain stable boost aswell as there desired boost level that may help me out in getting these achievements that would be excellent. Cheers in advance Adam

Dont do it noel wait until i get mine working close to 99% effeciently then you can do your power goal Contact dan at eliteracing for alot of your needs very very helpfull aswell, but a hard person to book something in with. Always busy but always will fit you in, and will pretty well explain alot of things for you. Not only that the above mentioned list will be a good start. 555cc nismos will do the job for that power, (850) Bosch 044 Fuel Pump (250) Make sure you hard wire to battery terminal Or tomei (400) Direct fit no hassels Clutch (Check the desired specs of it first) Turbo Choice seems that 2540r was not bad in power range with registering 249rkws on that dyno with the 0.64 housing. Fat torque good power, or the highflow will/should also do the job. (1000 to 2000) Including lines. Catch can (90) ECU (Pfc less than 900) (Haltec upwards of 2000) Tune (600 cash job allstar) Splitfires (550 to 600 delivered) Check forsale section here Plugs go the sevens heat range gapped 0.8mm (30) Cams if you want them tomei 256/8.5 (850 delivered through nengun) Z32 (ecu dependant as haltecs use map sensors) (250 upwards) And den Brakes (new pads slotted discs) Contact Dan Suspension check the group buys And den Wheels your choice you know the price by now And den.. Thats all i can think of. Oh fuel reg you dont need one unless chasing exceeding power of injectors or pump not sufficient in pumping enough fuel but nismos adjustable is sufficent for the task if you would like it. (upwards from 200 pends where you shop) Boost controller (Too many to choose from currently using greddy profec b will let you know how it goes after i fine tune the boost settings lol) But check the FI section or Forsale section and business section for this very well competatively priced (Check out slide as a personal choice he can help) There ya go old fella Please note prices are close to the cheapest i have found and you may find cheaper. so dont take for granted on the above prices. Thankyou Adam Oh and Noel or others, please allow for the case of shythappens and murphys law (If anything can go wrong, will go wrong) Budget for this case

Will be doing some r+d on this topic at my time will post results when i ascertain where i went wrong as my torque reading should be alot higher aswell especially with the mods and turbo choice i have gone? will keep people posted on this result and for those concerned YES i will use richards dyno again as this is the only best was to compare results and limit the possibilities of errors that could be very well encounted. Col is right on one area the comparison of results is very important hence why such use of the same dyno is important as it gives you far better chance in finding what you have done right what a certain problem may be. and if you change something does it improve or not improve results. Lastly the original tune done by richard on the same dyno was read at 208 rwks with the same tyres but after noticed the tyres were slightly flat well 14psi difference so instead of 38 both sides one was 24 one was 36 psi checked the day after results. And aparently on the same boost. Interesting? So once my injectors are in my new boost controller is in will take back for a freshup tune and get results hopefully more improvement. From here will locate the boost guage in too different spots one before inlet of cooler run that and then do a recheck on result verses outlet of intercooler, This will eliminate the source that the cooler is or maybe the bottleneck in my mods. This will clear alot of things up. Tyre choice could be an issue so if someone wants to let me there tyres/rims for this session would be also interesting to see if this improves/or leaves result as the same. Not many possible bottlenecks i can see after this. cam choice Maybe? As i am running standard cams, yet tho this may not be an issue. TB or inlet plenum it could be but have seen these items past 300rwkws (Col) and many more on this one im not sure if that is such a restriction issue. But once when i have further results i will be surely able to clear a few issues up here. For those interested my torque figure was 1364 N.M at 132 kmph. For those wanting of my mods those members may clear that up on page 4 in mod thread of members section. Thankyou Cheers Adam -

There was no doubt in the figures previously recieved just interested in the variation between alot of cars with similar or more extreme mods than above mentioned, although closed on arguing this, will do my own r+d for improvement altho well done on that figure anyway Cheers A -

You have got to consider the team did well enough just to fit them all on in the limited time they did have, Whos also to say that he doesnt just calibrated it for us a week before and stop business just so its all ready for us. -
Noel im surprised you can still count that high in your age? Nah true to the point yet we dont want the wrong crowd stopping. The fact was that who was there was the point the 99% majority of which were decent people. Thats quite satisfactory in my views there

Oh oh this is one for those techys out there the guy who ran 249rwkws, in a bone stock r33 gtst, only mods diff were exhaust trust cooler and hks 2540 turbo And yes stock bottom, stock head, Stock injectors, and oh i forgot stock r33 airflow meter, only dif running a regulator with it. One big big noticable difference were the big fat drag radials it had on there and oh running 1.2 i think bar pressure. and afrs were everywhere dipping in to low 11s to 10s in some spot Come on come on someone explain this please We saying here well if i and col were to run big fat drag radials our readings would be higher due too better traction, its really got me thinking on this one, as i was running 38psi on stocko 205/16s with well 2mm off tread indicators. This one is for Col, could you pm me your details of just your turbo, exduce induce trim and inlet outlet and a/r (Hot Side) just would like to compare to mine please Thanks In Advance Cheers A -

Maybe if col had proper TRACTION, he would have given you a run for your money Should up the pic of the rubber up the side of the car col, They still never got it right at the end for your result but fairly impressive otherwise -
