  1. You can. Greenline.co.jp. Perfectrun.co.jp Similar if not better prices than nengun, and get's here quicker. Although if you are trying to get something hard to find, Nengun is often the place to go. Like some of the shit for the 31, Nengun was the only place that had it ANYWHERE.....

  5. First car is matte black, and the coupe is actually GTS-R blue.... I seriously considered painting my car that colour, with 33 gtr wheels, but the red engine bay would have looked shit LOL Black/Dark Grey/Gunmetal looks awesome on coupes, but doesnt look too great on aussie 4 doors for some reason. Might be the roofline.... Looks good on passages though. My sedan was a GXE, so Red over Gunmetal, but am now going all red, inc. sidemouldings etc. Only black parts on the car will be window frames/mirrors and rear numberplate garnish.
  6. Neither. I owned a Black metallic over silver coupe, and never again. Hard as shit to keep clean, shows up everything. Also owned a Black S1/3 sedan, and it looked like shit in black.
  7. whatever. LOL All I know is it needs a bit more go, keps finding myself cought out of gear and labouring the f**k out of it. And not a fan of revving to 7000 all the time.

I came to the conclusion this morning, that Im going to hold off on work on the 31 for a while, and do some more work to the AE71..... namely rip out the 4K 1300cc and drop in either a 4age or a SR20DE..... just needs a tad more grunt. Going to sort some new sus sometime this week.... Even better is I can drive the 71 on the street.... unlike the 31
  9. How much of a blast are the KETO's ryan! Even funnier is that my AE71 shits all over my Prepped R31 track car.... Be even better when I finish the sus and put either a 4AGE or SR20DE in it.... and you get the rotor in LOL....
  10. super cheap compressor and gun.... it's a very slow process LOL. The compressor keeps running out of air. Gun is pretty killer though. 2 pac primer I got through a mate who's a panelbeater.... so cant tell you what the retail price is unfortunatley
  11. He said there may be issues if the prep work isnt done properly, done the prepwork on a few cars that have been sprayed, havent had a problem so far. Not really fussed anyways, only gonna be a 10 foot car; Looks great from 10 foot away LOL...

  14. Fair enough about the Colour change .... that was what I was told by TSA.... And yep, $1100 to have the 31 painted in 2pac. Ring All type yourself, prolly give the same price. Although I said it was a drift car and hayden said they generally look after the drifters LOL. When the Corolla gets painted (in the factory toyota off white and all factory chrome.... yum!) it's only $900....31 is a bit more as they have to use the booth twice, once for the car and once for the kit. That was paint/material supply,masking, painting, and buffing.

  17. As I said to you when you were sending me "Blow by Blow" updates.... that's baller as f**k mate. I hope to break 250 with mine, let alone 291 LOL.... We need to hook that boy up some sus and brakes on that thing now
  18. You need to be a bit more specific. For starters, a metallic paint costs a lot more than a standard paint. Why not paint it the stock colour with maybe a metallic in it? How far do you want to go? Just the visible outer shell? Door Jambs? Engine bay? Want to remove the motor to do so? And all the windows etc. How straight is the body? A mate had his car painted that I thought was nigh on mint, and the painter removed 94 dents out of it. Has it had previous crash work? There may be a few hidden surprises..... To be honest, to get a full respray, without doing ANY work yourself, you're looking at around $5K - $8K, even more if you go candy/pearl paints....... My respray is only going to cost $1K, as I did all the prep work myself, and Im only painting the visible outer shell, because Im painting the car a very similar colour to standard. MC Doyles, Tom Howard, All type crash, Eagle paint and panel etc are all reputable repairers, and do quality work. Some I think are a little overpriced,, but others dont. All Type Crash are painting mine BTW..... My advice would be to simply get your front bar repaired and colour matched, and have the whole car professionally buffed..... going to work out a lot cheaper and easier that way. Finally, You cant just ring up TSA and say "I painted my car, it's not black", it will have to go to the TSA inspection centre and have the numbers checked that it isnt stolen etc....
  19. Easy. Seriously, I would go for a custom aurora spring (6kg/4kg for street use) and an upgraded KYB/Koni shock, a pair of swaybars and a panhard rod. Also go through and replace all the rubber bushes (which are over 20 years old now), and either add S13 lower control arms or a pair of camber tops. Can also lathe down the castor arm a little and have more thread cut on so you can pull more castor out of it. Reckon you could have it all in for $1000 - $1500..... probably less depending on what you can come up with 2nd hand/what struts you use etc..... If you want to spend more, Id go for a S13 coilover setup, as you not only get height adjustment etc, you can add better brakes into the equation./... I used the following... S13 Silk Road Section RMA-8 10kg/8kg coilovers S13 Hub/Knuckle/Stub axle with new bearings R31 LCA with new balljoints R31 rack/tie rods/tie rod ends (rack rebuilt, but will be switching to R32 rack at some point) R32 GTS-T pot callipers rebuilt R33 GTS non turbo 4 stud rotors machined, but will be switching to redrilled GTS-T turbo rotors ASAP R31 brake lines S13 caliper banjo bolts. Cusco tower bar Drift shop roll centre adjusters Whiteline sway bar and super pro link bushes 3rds Productions Rose Jointed Adj. Castor Arms Super pro bushing all the way through the car and it all bolted straight together. No modding needed whatsoever. Was a bit pricey (over $3K worth), but going to be well worth it in the end. At the end of the day, Just depends on what you want from the car and how much you're willing to spend.

As for what you said, a friend of mine purchased a brand new VZ commodore SS ute for work, had it for 2 days (car wasnt touched in this time at all), and got pulled over with a bit of stuff in the back and got defected for being too low. And they wont tell you that most police cars are defectable, as the tyres the have arent load rated for all the gear they carry in the boot, plus a few other things LOL.... (Great having a relative in the force ) Well, VELO are made here in South Australia, and I dont reckon there'd be a problem getting them sent to you. Although if you need to try a seat before hand, might be a tad hard.... Other thing is, With VELO/Sparco/MOMO/Corba/Bride/Recaro etc, the side mounted seats actually can have the mounting points adjusted so they're not on a 90 degree angle. My seat has the rear set of bolts one hole below the front ones, puts the seat on a bit of an angle. (good for head clearence too)
  21. Ive seen video of a PP'd 10A with a GT3540 hanging off the side... didnt do much, but JEEZ it sounded apeshit. I still want to do a old school resto at some point, like a R100 RX2/RX3, standard pastel paint, venetian, stockies (widened to 9 inches of cousre), hubbies, whitewalls etc, and stick a full house 13BREW with a child eating turbo, lenco race box, 9 inch etc.... Even wanna rock the standard interior, beaded seatcovers, RAA badge and a "I love lawn bowls" stocker on the rear window LOL

  23. Wrong. Fixed is NOT illegal.... you can remove your rear seats and have the car engineered/mod plated/certified (depending on what state you're in) as a 2 seater. If the seat AND rails are ADR approved, you wont have a problem with the 5-0... that being said, 99% of peoples car's on here would be classed as illegal. If you want to be super legal, and have a great seat, Get a VELO seat. ADR approved, AND FIA approved. So will pass every level of scrutineering I beleve. Cheaper then the spacros/cobra's as well. They have a really nice driving position, are light, and can basically be custom made to your needs....
