  1. BEE_R*, URAS NS-01's and Koya Drifteks all look similar. If they's NS-01's or Drifteks - $$1200 a set new... If they're BEE-R's, Which arent produced anymore, over $2200 a set. The Verdict - URAS NS01's, in 8's and 9's, +30 offset. Drifteks have a slightly different centre, and the BEE-R's have different spoke widths/angles.
  2. You want to buy knowingly stolen goods? Buy new and be done with it I say. Want a cheaper pump? Buy a 2nd hand GTR pump from an importer and have it tested.
  3. 215/45 on a 9 is nice stetch. But not needed IMO on the back of a 33. You want stretch? Move your 9's on the front with 215/45's and Get 10's for the rear and put 235's on them. stretching 205's onto 8's is really compromising grip/stability simply for looks. And it looks like poop anyways. Stretching 205's and 215's onto 8's and 9's respectivley is really just what adam said.... rice. I have 215's stretched on my 9's, but they're on the front, and needed for guard clearence. And being a High Performance tyre, they have thicker sidewalls and thus stretch less.
  4. Walbro - Intank and requires no mods. - $160 or so brand new Bosch 040 - Intank and *may* require some slight mods to fit in the cradle (Put a couple in S13's and they needed a few cradle mods to go in, Havent done a 32/33/34 skyline) - $180 - $220 brand new Bosch 044 - External pump, 600HP rated, Will need bracket to mount pump - $220 - $250 brand new. Best options are walbro (But make sure it's a genuine one) or a Bosch 040. Ill be switching from my walbro to an 044, As Ill be running a 2.5 ltr surge tank, and need an external pump after a surge tank.
  5. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Well she's certainly come along way since the little pink hot rod Ive seen photo's of.... You putting any graphics/signage on it? or staying clean as a whistle?
  7. I did some more maths, I actually only need 30 - 35mm bolt ons all round. When ROH made my wheels, the centre bore dia. was too small, so was having a custom 25mm bolt on spacer made. I had the Centre bores on my 10's bored larger, but in doing so they damaged the paint and had to have the centres repainted, resulting in a further 6 week wait (Wheelworx busy/MC doyle flat out then closing for new year/X_Mas etc) But after working with camber and kingpin adj today, I reckon I could either get 4-5 bolt hub adaptors made, or convert to 5 stud, and fit them with a 30mm bolt on. Food for thought anyways. Pity about the live rear on the 31. Be a lot easier on a S13.... What you want for the GTR wheels?
  8. then harden up, and grab something like those XD-9's. They're gonna look awesome town.... Use the GTR wheels for track work, but if you go racing, change your alignment to something more suitable. As mentioned before, you're gonna have to run some decent camber/castor settings to get those wheels in, and thats gonna be absolute ass to race with, so keep that in mind. if you get those 10's, Id run a 245/45 or a 255/55 profile tyre, then get your alignment done, and mod the guards where need be.
  9. HKS make fuel pumps. Most are rated between 250l/h and 280l/h See here.... http://www.nengun.com/hks/fuel-pump rebranded bosch pumps though. You dont know it's history, it may well be Mcbollocksed... Go Buy New Bosch 040 for $180 - $220, and be done with it. Peace of mind that there's a fresh pump in there.
  10. As I said to yesterday Huddy, That thing is hot as. Looks a lot better in the flesh. Cant wait to see this @ G1....
  11. cheers for that simon. Was looking for someone who had experience with different tyre setups. As for tyre widths, The Bridgestone RE-050A 225/45's I have were cheap, They arent too heavily stretched as Bridgestones seem to have VERY think sidewalls, They do grip a shitload, but then after a bit they just fall apart and delam like a leper. But from what Ive seen from the Sumitomo HTZ-R2 tyres (The tyres Im switching to in a week or so), They seem to stretch a bit more, so Ill be changing the rears to 235/45 R18's, and The people who have been running them so far cant speak highly of them enough. Fronts are your standard issue RE050A 215/45's on 9 inch wheels. Slight stretch, nothing rediculous. Didnt want to go crazy on the front end. If I do change to a Silvia, i'll be swapping back to my 8/7kg springs (Have Swift 10/8kg springs on my Silk Roads ATM) and going to a r33 gtr wheel, with a high performance 215/45 R17 street tyre. Should be ok I think. am going to think a lot more about Rear camber/Traction/toe rod setups, Swaybars (Upgraded or adj), castor, front track, steering lock etc.....
  12. 55mm bolt ons? no thanks LOL. And I prefer them in original silver..... May be interested though, My missus's car died friday arvo, so we're talking about her having my modded KE70, and stripping the 31 and putting my gear into a stealth S13, to use as my street car/daily/slider.... Havent figured out much though. Going to be interesting but, having rear camber and other fun stuff to play with LOL.
  13. I stand corrected then. being SSR's they'd have good offsets and widths for standard skyline guards. Being single piece you couldnt expect anything super serious. Im still not a fan though. I prefer the GT-C's myself.
  14. As per the conversation I had with matty... The policeman who was handing out fines left right and centre said that they had the plates for the soarer and that he was next on their list, and was going to get his car impounded, and fines/loss of license coming out the ying yang. Needs a club lock to the head I say..... I honestly wonder what goes through peoples heads sometimes.... this is why shaun is so hesitant to hold dyno days now. And I dont blame him. To all those who did the right thing though, and it was 99% of you guys, hope you had a good day, wish I had made it. Would have put to corolla on LOL. Would have laughed if it had made more than 50kw's at the wheels.
  15. Dont worry about it. Just spoke to matty. Begin Rant/ What a bollocksing joke. Seriously. People try to do shit legit, keep the peace, have track cars that get trailered, Drift ON the track, generally try to put modifying into a good perspective to to public, and A) Some bollockshead in a soarer goes and screws it for everyone B) The po-po still decide to screw people over. Like defecting people on there way out to the track. Cars that are trailered etc.... Im usually one of the first to say "bollocks man, he's only really doing his job", but the cop admitting to a "zero tollerance policy" enough is enough. I sometimes wonder if it's actually worth it. My R31 is HIGHLY modded (Cage/coils/RB20/lots of sus mods etc) and probably going to last me 3 seconds on the street. Hence, will not be getting rego'd. And getting it defected if it's being loaded on/off a trailer? Does that mean that it can be defected being loaded in my driveway? Being poublic access and all..... Maybe I should just go buy a bollocksing house. Least THAT isnt "illegal" End Rant/
  16. Anyone wish to elaborate? Was going to come down, but woke up @ 12:45, then had to go to huddy's to pick up my new DMAX manifold....
  17. well, If tuffness is what you want. Then something like the XD-9's in those sizes is what you want. Fit them, and get them to work Via a combo of camber, guard rolling and tyre profile/diameter. If performance came before aesthetics, then Id be a bit more conservative in fitment. Decide EXACTLY which way you want to head, then do it. Hell, Have 2 sets of wheels, one thats tuff as balls for looks, then the GTR 16's with semi comps for track work....
  18. I can see quite a few similarities between them. Companies do change designs so they dont infringe copyright. Either or, they're still not that great. 1 piece, Im guessing poo offsets and widths, and probably a heavy cast wheel. Went looking for the DSR website, but it seems DSR makes wheels for Jags, not sure if they're the same company. At any rate, get the Rays wheels. They're porn.
  19. Ill be buying a new pair for the front, car is not street rego'd (well, it is, but I probably wont be driving it) and using performance tyres for the rear. Im actually considering selling my 18's, and switching to a 17. Would like to go to 5 stud and R33 gtr wheels, but they're only 9" wide, so what Im after for the fronts. And Id need 55 mm bolt on's to get them to sit where my 18's do LOL. Might have to get stuck into the Yahoo auctions and see what I can come up with.
  20. top ones are volk GTC copies Bottom ones are Rays Gramlights 57 maximum pro's..... Dont put the Volk copies on a GTR please. Gramlights are dope.
  21. Yeah, Im keen as to run semi's, as R31's have pretty bad understeer issues as it. I dont have adj. swaybars, just the whiteline upgrade bars. Only problem is, semi-comps are effing expensive in 18 inch LOL. Havent had the car aligned since I put all the new sus in, But aiming to run about 5 deg or so, Dont need much more in a 31.
  22. I guess we await answers to give any further advice. 02_FINE, What do you use the car for, and what do you want from it? What compromises are you willing to make? What spring rates and alignment specs do you have?
  23. well, thats what kind of photo I was after. In that case, going off that photo, Id (me personally) go for a 18 x 9.5 +17 XD9 in bronze. Be 10mm further out, but with a 235 or a 245 tyre, *Should* be flush with rolled guards.... that's if, 02_fine, running 1.5 deg neg camber bothers you... What spring rate do you have in the car 02_FNE? And what do you use the car for? And what alignment specs are you running? DJR81, you obviously track your car (as a GTR should be), so therefore fitment like above that is not a priority for you. Funcionality is. I get the impression from 02_fine that he wants wheels for a more aesthetic point.
  24. A lot of them run rims in similar sizes to what I stated. I say do it. XD-9's in 18 x 10 +18, with 245/45R18 tyres. Camber, roll, lower and run tyres to suit.
  25. That photo shows me absolutley nothing. EVERY car should have good offset and fitment. (not a rule by any means, just a belief) Im sorry I dont own a GTR, just a "Drift hack" Another thing, if you go and actually measure most high performance tyres, their nominal size isnt actually correct. The thicker sidewall actually adds width to the tyre. My Potenza 225/45 R18's are actually 235/240 in width. a 30mm roll and flare can be done without damaging the paint at all but anything more serious will bollocks the paint. If a 9.5 +15 is a go, those XD-9's come in a 9.5 +17. ok. Im assuming 32 GTR wheels are 16 x 8 +30 here... Those XD-9's will stick out a further 37mm (4 cm's to be safe), and you'll have 13mm less clearence on the inside. obviously will have an inch more height and it will raise the car an inch as well. Go out to the car now, and measure that. Then use that as a reference point. Also, use this. It's a wheel offset calculator. Invaluable. http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp All in all, I say Dont be weak. Wheels make the car.
