Beware Of Fake Bride Ergo Seats!
R31 drift pig replied to Dose Pipe Sutututu's topic in General Automotive Discussion
The writing is curved and too thin. The harness holes are on a slant. The tag is wrong and clearly a fake. Has the same side adjusters though. -
Yeah, Dont think I can be f**ked going out either. Might give the old girl a rest this week. Should do those valve clearances sometime this week too. Woot for 4K power.

It's a royal pain in the ass on an ausdel... you have to cut out the metal supports on the back, and it's f**king hard to do

We'ret not? I want the cash for wheels LOL. Sick ryan, you bringing out the ke70? We'll rep some keybangers. and Ill be there sat night matty, with bells on.

same deal there. The 5-0 patrol tapley's hill road pretty regular. Coles marion road/Flicks work seems ok. have the Netley cop shop just down the road but. Im not fussed though, Ive got 15 x 8 -4 superlights to pay for. And a new muffler. All those keybangers f**ked the packing and she loud as shit

Can be done if you handy with a hacksaw and a file. Or in my case an anglegrinder. You'll need an import double din surround if you want it to look good. Just get a single din motorized fold out monitor and be done with it.

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! more keybangers Wouldnt bother going back to Kmart this week. Apparently the popo are coming in force. Read>>> http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=288716 I wont be out anyways. Working at 5 am sat morning and trying to save some cash for some goodies for the KE70....

GTS struts are not the same as R32, as R31's have Macpherson strut fronts (Like S13) and R32 have Double wishbone. Converting the Fronts to 5 stud is easy. Press a S14 or R33 balljoint into the R31 arm, Use S14 hub/Knuckle/Stub Axles, and use R32 calipers and rotors. Remove olive from r32 Caliper and use S13 banjo bolts so you can use R31 brake lines. Rears are a little more complicated if you want to do it properly. You can get a 4 to 5 stud hub adapter/spacer made, but you'd need to have some high-ish offset wheels to use them, as the narrowest ones Ive seen are like 30 mm or something. or EA falcon axles from a wrecker, send to a diff specialist. They need to be shortened by about an inch, and have 5 - 10mm machined off the bearing platform (Not Sure if thats the exact term for it), Then resplined and heat treated, then redrill stock rotors to 5 stud. Was quoted $500 all up for this inc. installation. Decided just to get 4 stud wheels that fit instead, Which is still my recommended option over a 5 stud conversion. I had wheels custom made by ROH here in adelaide, in 18 x 9 +/- 0 and 18 x 10 + 5 (I have very large all metal flared guards on the car, and my sideskirts are like 2 inches off the floor) Seeing as you have a GTS2 as well, Id suggest getting good offset 4 stud wheels so you dont have something thats very hard to reverse, as your car has good resale value, and is getting kinda rare. You can still do the 4 pot brake upgrade too I believe, GTS2's have import struts, which have the 100mm bolt spacing required for R32 calipers. Just remove the olive and use an S13 banjo bolt.

Spotted Silver R33 GTR on south road, turning one street after the road regency is on. Low, Bronze Volk TE37's. Drivers and passengers bride seats. I nearly crashed trying to get a better look at it. I was the clown in the White KE70 corolla Beeping and throwing down the horms.....

Basically, instead of each port drawing air from a Plenum, and one large throttle body, each port has it's own throttle body. Good for super fast response. Would love to build asuper high comp RB26 DE with full 6 throttle induction and billet trumpets and monsterous f**king cams. Wouldnt make anywhere near as much grunt as a RB26DETT, but imagine the howl that thing'd have!

RWD model is RB25DET? And most of the sus setup is R32/33 IIRC? What about the rear? Awesome... family skid wagon LOL.

Top RB20 Club... do you have over 260rwkw?
R31 drift pig replied to RBsileighty's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I can get the one I posted for about $1100 - $1200 fully Installed..... modded piping and everything. I know we're talking about a couple of hundred dollars here, but to me thats a shitload easier. Drop it off and pick it up done. Reckon there's probably more/better/cheaper gains to be made in cams and tuning. Anyone else care to comment on this? -
Used to own a bike, and my dad's been riding since he was 17. Not too keen on em any more Im afraid. Maybe I should buy one and just remove the front shafts lol...

Thats a very nice plenum. Kinda pricey though (I know you cant get "good" and "cheap" in the same sentence, but Im not super keen on spending that much if it's gonna make 5 5ths of f**k all difference) I can get this one made for $350 cheaper (all internal bellmouthed/smoothed/match ported etc.) or have it installed and cooler piping get all my cooler piping modded for roughly the same price as the UAS kit. Although Id still have to get new cooler piping made, so Id be realistically looking at a $1500 - $1800 proposition by the time im done, and might not gain very much at all from that? Be better off buying some cams and more tuning I reckon. I still wouldnt mind doing it simply to remove the 3.5 foot of piping off the top of the motor, and neaten it all up I guess..... -
RWD till i Die LOL. As gay as this sounds, I love hanging the ass end out too much LOL

Another question, Im loking for a forward facing plenum for my RB20, are there any off the shelf ones available? Or Will I have to go a custom job? Would also be interested in knowing what effect it will have.... (BTW Ryan, Ill be in tomorrow arvo to put some cash on that TD06....) -
I. Hate. You. That is all. (Waaahh what will I do with the 32 GTR now I have the 260 RS waaaah ) Only stirring. Very nice purchase. Ive got the missus nagging me to get a somewhat Bigger/newer car to have for us (Whats wrong with the KE70 I ask!), and a stagea was on the list, but unfortunatley, not a fan of 4WD....

Got any specs for it? Exhaust A/R? What model T04 is it? T04E? looks to be an older style garrett turbo, looking at the compressor outlet. Anyways, Going by looking at it....... and Judging by the T4 footprint and the size of the comp cover/exhaust housing, That thing is going to be a lag monster, as that is a VERY large exhaust housing for a little 2 ltr. Ive just purchased a Trust TD06 20G 8cm, and I thought that would be a tad laggy, but from everything I can read Im looking at maybe 4000 - 4200 full boost. And that's a shitload larger than a TD06 mate. If your car is "Drift style", why go for such a large huffer? Why not go for something really responsive with good power delivery? Is it A genuine garrett or an ebay job? The manifold sure looks EBAY spec. And why mount the AFM directly on the front of the turbo? If you want to retain some form of street drivability, then I suggest maybe a smaller turbo. Or at least a smaller exhaust housing. Id be very surprised if that made full boost before 5000-5500. Mind you, this is just by a visual inspection. Id be after some more data to give more confident advice. What other mods are done? Injectors/Cams/AFM/management/internals.... cause you'll need the first four if you intend on running some big boost with that thing.

Wasnt saying anything about the ecu's themselves, moreso that a setup like that can produce numbers like that. Ive seen it. My engine makes 180 on 8 psi and stock ecu. Most need a remap and more boost to achieve that. Admittedly that was running a tad lean, but not dangerous. Even though it was a tad lean, still makes more power than it really should. My engine also has SFA km's on it, and was also out of an auto front cut. Some setups will make more power than others, fact of life. Not every setup is the same. And they CAN be remapped. Utter B.S that that they cant. Although the cost of it is almost triple a standard remap, hence why everyone goes PFC/SAFC etc, But when a R33 ECU is remapped it's better than a PFC (Knock Control etc) (Ben Awaits SimonR32 to come a-running and say the same ) At the end of the Day, who Give a shit? A tuner can make my 180 odd kw RB20 read 400KW's at the wheels If I so asked him to. Bish 33 We cant tell you much at all without a dyno sheet, and if you REALLY want to know the answer, take your car to someone like Boostworx, Turbo Tune or ATS, and get them to look at the turbo and have your question answered once and for all.
-
it is possible. A lot of people cant see how my car has made 180 odd on stock 8 psi (RB25 S2 turbo) with stock ecu, but it has done so on more than one occasion. there's lot's of variables to consider, Healthy as engine, happy dyno (Read: dyno producing higher numbers, although not saying this is the case), possible highflow, dyno room temps, tuning, or simply a freak engine. At the end of the day though, a dyno is a tuning tool, and nothing more. Dyno figures are nothing more than bragging rights, so be happy with the dyno sheets saying 221KW's and tell everyone to shut the f**k up.

Hi Guys, Bought a 2nd hand set of GReddy Warning Meter Gauges, and one of my temp gauges is missing a temp sender, And these Gauges were recently discontinued. Am Willing to buy a complete gauge to get it  I have the recently discontinued model, with the white Data Link Boxes. If you have one that doesnt work, or want to sell a complete gauge, or even know where I can find one, please PM me/Call ben on 0433 535 410. Cheers Ben

yeah, S13 LCA adds 1.5 degrees fixed camber. Wasnt needed in my case as coilovers have adj. camber tops and elongated kingpins. For shits and giggles we set my car at like 8 deg camber. now back down to a sensible 2.5 or so (Woot for drifter eye alignments LOL) Another thing is that S13 LCA's are expensive (Well, compared to 31 arms which are cheap as chips), and are more sort after. BTW, LOVE those CR KAI's.... How did you do the rear 5 stud? EA falcon axles? Considered doing that and Attain 5 stud S13 hubs, but got custom made 4 stud wheels instead. Worked out a lot cheaper and got the offsets and widths I wanted without spacers. Am considering Work XD9's in white though, as Work now make a 18 x 10 +18 in 4 stud! (Need to run a $15mm bolt on though to have the same offsets I have now though)
