  1. Stick a T88 on it. Should be a good thing Nah, reckon you made the right choice for a sole street car. BTW, Import spares have a geuine RB 2530 kit there, want $1500 for it, and it's in bloody good shape. was going to buy it myself until I got my TD06....
  2. Was keen until I saw the offset. Id need pretty hefty spacers to get em where I want them. Silly toyotas :laughing-smiley-014: :laughing-smiley-014: :laughing-smiley-014:
  3. If you insist. My car is very low (maybe 2 inches off the dec), but most people are surprised what kind of suspension setup I have in it and it's hasnt been thrown together, it was all picked to perform. Sit's flat, and is very responsive. Has great grip (10 inch wide rears help) but is VERY easy to coax into a slide. I raced Karts when I was younger, and my dad has raced since he was very young (both cars and Bikes) so it's not like we stick china coilovers in and think it's the greatest thing ever. Im not going to jump into the SK groupie bashing like everyone else does on NS.com, as Ive been a 33 with a full SK track setup, and it was brilliant... But maybe commenting on a cars suspension integrity should be kept to yourself. Ill have to take you for a skid lol.... on the track of course.
  4. Id put a 235 tyre on, wind in the camber to 1 - 1.5 deg,a nd roll/flare the rear to suit. A nice rounded flare like you see on S13's etc would look tuff as, especially if you keep running no kit, and just dump it on the deck. Just like this one... And dont be a homo, keep your 33 gtr wheels silver. Look great against gunmetal paint, but keep the popo off your back because they look factory.
  5. Skyline model = 1989 S3 R31 sedan Front wheels = Custom Made ROH adrenalin 3 piece wheel Wheel diameter = 18" Wheel width = 9" Wheel offset = +/- 0, now with 25 mm bolt on spacer, so effectivly -25 Tyre size = 215 x 45 x 18 Modifications to fit = Heavily flared front guards done with roller (2 inch flare) 3 deg camber (S13 coilovers), stretched tyres, 10KG front spring rate Rear wheels = Custom Made ROH adrenalin 3 piece Wheel diameter = 18" Wheel width = 10" Wheel offset = +5 Tyre size = 225 x 45 x 18 Modifications to fit = Even Heavier flared guards done with 20 pound hammer, and copious amounts of fibreglass and filler/ 8KG rear coilovers with dampners wound up, super stretched tyres. Car is very low, and Id have maybe 3-5mm clearence on the rears, a little more on the front. But she still doesnt scrape anywhere.
  6. Yep, Definatley. Roll the lips up, come down an inch, and let the exhaust scrape LOL. Or get it modded. It's looks tuff as is, 1 inch lower with the tyres nicely tucked would be perfect.
  7. NFI. Spacers are shit. Wish I didnt have to run them. All will be sorted in the end. Troy and BJ will sort it all out for us.
  8. I dont have flares either. They're standard, all metal guards, bashed with a 20 pound hammer and a guard roller. A lot of work went into them. 4 dor sedans cant use the bolt on flares off of coupes. Guards like mine are possible on your car too. You also have a huge adavntage having 5 stud, so better access to good wheels, and rear camber adjustment. I have 4 stud and live rear end, so my offsets/widths/guards had to be worked out to the mm.
  9. operative word being "THINK".. They weren't sure who's was who's. Mine wont rock up till friday now.
  10. Wheels make or break a car. And... Dont buy wheels to fit your car. Make the car fit the wheels. Did some more work on my guards today. Almost finished, then to be painted. And to decide on a colour LOL
  11. nismobdykit - thats great wheel fitment. Add a 5-8mm slip-on on the front and lower 10mm and absolutley perfect. Wheels look stunning. After defect removed, straight back to how it was
  12. Bring on bollocksing winter! Ill be bringing the AE71 out at every chance I get, esp. when it's raining LOL. The R31 can stay in the shed. And Im keen for some jackety-type jumper thingomagigs...
  13. Im covered in Body filler and have primer dust up my nose. But I have finished guards. And a quick not to those who dont think you can fit wide, low offset wheels to an aussie delivered R31, you're doing it wrong, and harden up. That is all. (BTW Matty, I think your spacers are in tyrepower.... BJ tried to give them to me and I was like "WTF? You're kidding right? Im not running 35mm bolt ons" LOL)
  14. Soounds wrong? Dont think so. Those performance challengers on the first car are 16 x 10 -5, mine are 10mm further in, and I have all metal flared guards. And making things harder is mine are 18's. Car also has now been dropped a further half inch in the rear, and the fronts now have a 25mm bolt on, making them effectivly -25.
  15. Steering rack... LOL. One of the most common problems on a 31. Rip it out and have it rebuilt, or stick in a new one. My answer was to shove in a 2nd hand rack, and when (It's not if, but when) it bollockss out, Ill be going R32 replacement. Speedo? Sounds like the cluster has shit its self. Take it to a Guage place and have it repaired and recallibrated. As for the other two, I cant answer, as my car doesnt have central locking, nor aircon anymore. Maybe take it to an auto electrician and see what he can do? It all sounds electrical to me.
  16. Well I bollocksed that one up didnt I LOL. 18 x 9 +/- 0 and 18 x 10 +5
  17. Good One Danny....
  18. If you like your 20's then that's the end of this discussion. You asked us what we thought, most of us arent a fan, but that doesnt matter. Now calm down champ.
  19. Import spares have them 2nd hand for $260 with the plug, or you can get new from Just Jap, Nengun, Croydon Autosport etc for around $300 each brand spankers, then $35-$40 for the plug adaptor. I assume because you want 2 this is for the GTR?
  20. Yep. Im not happy about the 25mm's I got going up front as it is. 15 x 8 -4 Superlights in platinum. Will be fitted with a roll and slight flare, also dropping the car an inch in the rear and half an inch in the front, then being repainted in the original toyota off white. Why? So when it breaks down it costs 3 times as much to fix? LOL. Least with a crummydore you know there's a shitload of spares going around, and they dirt cheap. Just needs a 5ltr and she'll be right LOL.
  21. yes but big spacers like that suck ass. So no. Would love some VS-XX's or VS-KF's though, but not spending another $3K on wheels at this point in tme LOL. Besides, the Keto's new shoes are gonna rock everyones jocks
  22. I dont see how having turbo or NA denotes how you should mod your car.... Id have gone R34 GTR wheels no matter what I was doing. They're just straight out tuff. 34 GTR wheels, lower 1.5 - 2 inches, slight roll and flare, dark tint... done. as most of us have said.... your car, your choice. But you did ask us what we thought, and unfortunatley most of us arent a fan.
  23. My front wheels - 18 x 9 -25. R33 GTR wheels - 17 x 9 +30 = 55mm spacer. Rear wheels - 18 x 10 +5. R33 GTR wheels - 17 x 9 +30 = 40mm bolt on. and thats just to sit exactly the same LOL. as for changing my mind all the time, Id rather make sure of what I want rather than get something or do something and go "Why the bollocks did I do that?" Make fun of me all you want, results are going to speak for themselves matty.
  24. You cant rush perfection. Im actually a fan of primer grey. might leave it LOL. Nah, it's still definatley a toss up between red, white and silver. Leaning towards red today LOL. prolly be white tomorrow. Dad reckons a navy/royal blue with my wheels powdercoated white, but it I went Navy/royal blue, Id go 5 stud with R33 gtr wheels. Pity Id have to run like 50mm spacers all round to fill my guards LOL.
