1 day? try 1 minute, it actually says on your rego form that it expires at midnight, after that you have no rego and no insurance, as far as im aware there has never been a grace period, that is just another old wives tale that people like to believe for some reason.

but on the other hand if you are stupid enough to have a vented bov that they can hear from a mile away and you have one of those shit full ultra loud exhausts that is clearly illegal but you like it coz it gets you attention then maybe you should get out of your car with your pants around your ankles coz your gonna get arse raped!

Rb25 Turbo Upgrade, All Dyno Results

S1 R33 standard motor power fc 500cc high flow standard injectors walbro fuel pump Z32 yellow jacket coil packs gizzmo boost controller and adjustable wastegate chinese stainless copy manifold Custom dump into 3" exhaust with an x force ceramic cat factory air box with k&n panel filter and R31 inlet and snorkle in the front custom afm to turbo pipe GT3540 .8 rear .5 front Power is being held back by the xforce cat, ther centre muffler (atleast 7 yrs old) and intake pipe may be hindering a little as well, once these are done it should hit around 280rwkw safely. this power was made with the airbox lid off, wanted to know how restrictive the air box lid was, made 251rwkw with the lid on. I mostly agree with this apart from one thing, get a 3/8th kinchrome socket set, i have never actually had a need for a half inch drive, was at a mates last weekend doing injectors and all he has is 1/2", so many times things would have been easier with my smaller 3/8th drive. Also download the manual or buy one, shyte loads of detail in them and they show you how to pull everything apart, its a must for someone who has not done an engine tear down before!

If you do the install your self then the thread doctor is the man to use, i used him not long ago, great service! Any work shop should be able to to do the job, if everything you have is just bolt on then its pretty simple stuff.

Bought some today to use if all other fix's i was going to try didnt work, wouldnt start this morning so i couldnt do it before hand. I cant gaurentee that they were part of the problem but since we lost another one today if i every have to do injectors again i am taking thw 1 that i have left over and buying another 6 before i start just to be sure! Thank you, yes i did, all is good now, i also tried using one of the pair of z32's that i had (they were cheap so i bought both and was going to sell one) yesterday and it was dead so i didnt want to try the other one just yet and find out that i have 2 dead ones, i will savour the success for one day and then put it in tomorrow! -

I didnt expect it to be perfect but i was hoping for a decent idle, just wanted enough to get it to the tuners, all fixed now, f**ktard me forgot that i had 1.5 rb25's sitting in the shed, one of which had the fuel rail still in the plenum, it also had a good tb gasket, put factory spacers back in and the good tb gasket, also put some sealant on the tb gasket (didnt block the vacum paths with it) assumed it wasnt needed but it also wouldnt hurt and at that stage i needed to rule out all the possibilities 100%, also put some sealant on the line from the cam cover and the plenum to make sure there was no leaks there and the vac line from the fpr to the plenum slipped on to the nipple far to easy for my liking and had a T piece in the middle feeding the boost gauge so i replaced the hose with a new smaller one that fits very tight and now run the boost gauge from the bov vac point as i have removed the bov and i put new plugs in it (2nd set in a week) started first go and idled nicely, on idle there is no black smoke once you rev it to about 3000rpm it starts putting out black smoke, i believe this is the way it should be, shows its running fat which is all i need to get it to the tuner and have the job done properly. -
I thought a set of N1 turbo's would get you close to 300?

I was thinking head, plenum, exhaust manifolds with standard turbo's, oil pump, water pump and coil packs, everything you would need to bolt it in.

I also believe there is a sticky at the top of the vic section with workshops and wreckers listed.

and as for selling yours, lots of people are after a complete rb26 to rebuild at a decent price to put into any thing and everything, if priced right (go through the for sale section and see what they have sold for) you shouldnt have any problems finding a buyer.

Just upgraded my injectors from standards to hi flow standards, they were cleaned and flow tested october last year by sabbadin, he put them in a bag with lube on them which wasnt opened till yesterday when i put them in. Question is how rough should it be running , there about 530cc and going by the equation in the power fc FAQ i needed to drop the fuel map to 70% on each cylinder which i did, on start up the knock went to 2 and after a couple of revs went to 7, took it for a drive and it didnt move untill i changed to 5th at 80k's and then it went to 17 and didnt move again, the temp in that weather normally sits at around 75 or just under, the temp didnt go above 62 last night so from those figures all seems to be good, how ever the 2 things im worried about is if the high flowing of the injectors will change the latency, since there factory injectors and all the internal workings would be the same im assuming not so i didnt change that, also we lost 3 of the plastic fuel rail spacers, all we had to replace it was some old hard rubber hose that we cut to size, would this make much of a difference? There is also an intermittent vac leak that we cant find, double checked every hose that we touched but cannot find anything, any ideas on what to look for?

Would also have been more helpfull if you had found SAU before you bought it, lots of bad reports about them on here.

You need to think ahead, how much power are you going to be chasing, if you just want something with a bit more than standard the a second hand motor might be the go (just remember most of them only come with a 30 day warranty) if you want to wind boost in a get some good power out of it or you want to use it at a race track then you would be better off rebuilding it so you know everything is good.

I had a 13b bridgeport with a modified niki (factory 12a) carb and it made 150rwkw, was a heap of fun in a s2 rx7, with a well tuned webber i would have gotten a good 50hp increase. As stated before, turbo on an na motor is fine, just like bolting a turbo onto any na tho you have to keep the boost low.

I had no doubt you couldn't keep your mouth shut, after all you have showed in the past that if you have an opinion that everyone must hear it, much like the attitude I showed in my original post, difference is when people come back at me for it I can take it, you on the other hand end up abusing everyone that dosnt agree with you, having most of the thread deleted and get banned.
