  1. Awesome.. gotta be happy especially on street tyres. Dunno how much diff the RS turbos are compared to 2540's... but a GTR R33 in Melbourne with similar mods to you runs 10.8's on semi slicks.. I think your turbos push more power than 2540's so it's obvious you have even more room to improve. Well done mark.
  2. Well Thanks for the help guys, I went and met up with Peter at Starr Performance. Had a chat about slapping on 2 Whipple Superchargers to the Mercury Motors, and just waiting for Mr Whipple from the US to work out a few things for us. Whilst I was there Peter took me out for a burl in (~I think his wifes car) those new Holden Station wagons with 4WD, this has a V8 with a Whipple supercharger, I must say thing went OK, but it's hard to impress me when you compare it the GTR, but I still reckon the E55 goes harder. What impressed me the most was the sound, it was awesome, I mean the Supercharger on the E55 is slighty audible but nothing like the Whipple, it was like having to little kids under the bonnet and as soon as you boot it, they screamed loud and hard... "Imagine having two of those on the boat??" he said. I couldn't get the smile of my face.
  3. I used to: 1) Be a sad daily sunday driver sitting in the left 2) Find myself slowing down at green lights waiting for them to turn red 3) Stopping for 5seconds at STOP signs looking left and right 3times before taking off 4) Give way to all traffic 5) A wipe off 5 driver, obeying the speed limit 6) The type of driver who other drivers respected and cheered to me, by way of giving me the fingered Peace Sign, the Bird sign or even raised Fist's out there windows to me. But since going to ICE my life has completely changed, I now: 1) Find myself watching knock levels, AirFlow readings, Air Intake Temps etc 2) Open all my windows to see how loud my car sounds echoing off side buildings 3) Rarely stay in a lane longer than 4seconds 4) Giving away free Bird Signs to my former Sunday Drivers Club Members 5) Pulling up next to cars, then booting it on boost to see how much distance on can gain on them 6) Checking all my mirrors for cops 7) Having to bring at least 2packets of cigarettes cause the boys there smoke half of mine. 8) Looking for BP Ultimate High Octane Fuel 9) Waxing my car every second day, because it makes make car faster cutting through the air coaus the body is so slippery... And so much more.... So next time you find yourself happily cruising in the left lane slowing down at green lights whilst other drivers pass you saluting the Peace Sign, have a think a say, "I CAN CHANGE TOO!" and visit the cheerful boys down at ICE for your ticket to freedom, hoonism, drag life, dyno queenism and so much much much more... Call now, don't wait for it to happen MAKE IT HAPPEN... operators are standing by now "or the answering machine" Call 9512 7591
  4. Aaaahh, OK... Just spoke to star, thanks Bass. G & D is the owner of the Monaro, who is an ex employee of starr. Star are the Whipple distributors for Australia/Victoria... Going to see star this avo! Thaks Again Bass, saved me a drive from Tulla - Cranbourne
  5. Thanks Bass, I wanted to chat with someone who knows about the Whipple chargers, as this looks like the only solution at the moment for our boat. I take it Starr didn't build the Monaro they just know alot about whipples?
  6. Starr Performance???? WTF ??? I rang and spoke to Matt at G & D, about the whipple and going to see him this avo in cranbourne? He said it was there car? Then who's G&D and who's Starr?
  7. SAU Member > TRIAL_GTR had some of those enkies for sale, dunno if there sold yet but worth a try.
  8. I need to get in contact with the owner that Yellow Monaro that runs 10sec qtr miles... I need some info on the Whipple Superchargers, if anyone has that guys details, workshop number whatever Id appreciate it if you could PM me or reply to this thread.
  9. WWWOW... 388Kw at the rears on stock internals, and only pushing 18psi on pump fuel... Is that right? I couldn't believe it when I read this thread, I thought that could only happen in WA, and then I saw you were from WA, and I wasn't supprised... Well Done! Just one thing, Stacey who has the R32 with forged Internals, full HKS Kit GT2530's, dumps manifolds etc etc.. makes 390kw at 25psi on pump fuel ~I think... I mean your result is definately impressive but nonetheless not suprising from WA those tuners have magic up there sleeves with dyno tuning GTR especially with RB20 AFM I never thought they were capable of that sort of resolution.. Obviously Stacey's R32 GTR has some big problems when comes to tuning
  10. autobahn will be having another one of those 2 day discount 30% off everything... very soon. My little cousin the studd "enimen - look a like" is in the ad which is supposed to resemble some new Enimen D12 Clip... so maybe hold off on the motul oils till then and stock up.
  11. well done troy.. If I may say "You're a freak" One quick thing whilst I remember.. I need the fuel caps on our boat anodised any idea's where to get it done??
  12. Thought this section was appropriate rather than General Auto, but if you want to move it go ahead. Here's the apparent latest on the next Supra.. QUOTE from the reporter on the Supra: "In typical Japanese auto manufacturer fashion, Toyota takes a stab at duplicating a combo the Aston DB-9 and Shelby Cobra concept..." and now the VOLTA.... "Toyota Motors shocked industry analysts with the announcement that their critically acclaimed concept car, previously named the Volta, after the man who discovered electricity, redubbed "the Priapus" by both Car & Driver and Road & Track, will be available to consumers in Germany by Christmas 2004, and the U.S. three months later. MSRP for the "three-plus-one coupe" is expected to be around $72,000 and is expected to revolutionize the independent racing circuit. Cylinder boring and other performance modifications are expected to be available on a very limited basis, but weekend race enthusiasts are no less prepared to embrace the vehicle. Orders are already being accepted so contact your local Toyota dealership to place a deposit on this piece of automotive history now. Production will be limited and no one doubts this will become an instant classic."
  13. haha.. agree but not or me, maybe for you race track freaks, I'm a useless driver with a good package GTR style, makes the even worst drivers look good... well almost excluding MINES_DATSUN.
  14. I agree with geoff, I drove both the 350z & the RX8 when they first came out.. and the perfect car would be an RX8 with the 350z Motor... plus some turbo's if you don't mind. I loved the 350z, but it's strictly a 2seater +handbag... type of car. No luggage space, love the engine, but it certainly feels breathless over 5000rpm, heeps of low down torque..but nothing uptop. Unlike the RX8, the only flaw was that pissy engine, it's gutless under ~6000rpm.. and for an everyday driver it would put me to sleep. It definately has the better whole package, interior, space, luggage... but that engine no no no.
  15. I use PLEXUS, you can pick it up from autobarn etc.. about $15-19 a can. Anything plastic, glass, rubber... it doesn't just make it look clean it actually does clean & rejuvenate. Especially if you have a convertible with a plastic rear window, after time they brown up etc etc ... spray with plexus and it makes it new again.
  16. Try asking SydneyKid, Warpspeed... I remember a thread about fuel coolers, and am quite sure they mentioned some interesting points. If I recall correctly, they mentioned some mob from the US that sell these "esky" type things for your fuel/fuel pump. I know you said you did a search but maybe try agian.
  17. I dont know the car, but it definatley looks the goods. It's also a Series3 GTR, which are hard enough to find.. But why is he running a MOTEC ecu?, don't see many GTR's running MOTEC's unless there super horsepower, and he's quoting 410hp (305kw at the wheels) on 1.5bar?? With those engine mods, I would have thought alot more than that. Stock GTR internals make that on ~1.3bar
  18. Roy... Why Cheltenham? {spelling} > TRUTRAK in Leveson Street, North Melbourne now their stuff. I'm sure they have something to do with that GTR that races at the WRX meetings.
  19. My brother and I have our own business's which are mainly all property related, construction, body corporate, finance...amongst other things we have our fingers in. But our misses reckon our job is doing www.sweet-fu(k-all.com.au, and having too many bullsh!t meetings. the girls are half right
  20. hmmm... I'd tell him not too worry about fixing the turbo's and whatever it's cost to deduct it from the price. save yourself the extra and slap on some deent HKS GT2530's, Trust T517's, or N1's instead of the highflow's. At least you know what your getting.
  21. Hi Gimmick, On what & who's advice where you told the figure of 370kw would be achievable? Unless your from Western Australia then it would sense . Here's why you won't... 1) The standard GTR AFM's max out around 280-300kw at the wheels, so you will need Z32 AFM. 2) I have never heard of anyone making that sort of power from 2510 3) 25psi on Pump fuel will blow your motor sooner than later Finally, Emre made 400kw at the rears on a mix of C16 and Pump fuel with HKS 2530's @25psi with stock internals. But even he will tell you your motor wont last. Not really knowing the 2510's that well, I think a stock motor is safe around 280-330 at the wheels.
