Michele replied to a topic in Australian Capital Territory
I think you'll find people noticed, they just realise they still have a fight on their hands for next year. From what I understand, this battle isn't over. -

While my front and back lawns have turned to dust, they complain about their grass... how dare they! -

Yes, I'll be there - my "goal" is to get enough points through the year for the Ladies Championship - *fingers crossed* that I can keep my car running so it can run at every round. Round 2 and 3 are back at Mt Panorama then the rest are up North. There are some rounds where I cannot run the open wheeler and for those I will use the GTR and I'd better watch my butt cos there are some very fast ladies in the state rounds. -

17th May is both SDMA Hillclimb & Eastern Creek Supersprints *sigh* I'll be at Eastern Creek. I suggest you start a new thread for this, I almost didn't read it because I thought everyone was still talking about the first one, didn't realise until this morning that a new round was on. Others may be in the same boat. -
I thought they brought it down to 100g unless mounted to floor as of 1 January 2009, but looking on the CAMS website, I can only find a document saying "NOTE FOR COMPETITORS: It is foreshadowed that from 1 January 2009, the maximum weight of any camera, lens or recording unit mounted to other than the floor shall be 100g" however cannot find anything to say its mandatory yet. http://www.camsmanual.com.au/techdocs/T-401[1].pdf I suspect that it is mandatory, but I can't find any reference to it yet in the new CAMS manual.

Time to get some of that sleep. Twas another fantastic day at the track. Rebecca had a pearler of a day starting with times around 80.18 and finished the day with 62.xx - I won my class, fastest lady and was just pipped for FTD by 100th of a second LOL I encouraged two new starters for this event, both had a ball and said it wont be their last. One in a black R31 and another in an NA Subarua Impreza, they each had their own challenges and the R31 came out on top for this round. Great to see a few of you come out to cheers us on. Thank you Jeno for helping Mark get my car together in time and Jo for sharing him with us. -

Don't forget today and pls come say hi if you come out. Oh and Richard, bring your glasses this time... I still can't believe you couldn't find where I park Even you won't believe it when you see and if all else fails, look for the silver F250 with the slide on camper and the looooong white enclosed car trailer. -

Hi Greg - Engine and gearbox went in last night, but she's still has a lot to go. Mark working full time and off to Top Gear for the day tomorrow, so stress factor high atm. We will probably put in a late nighter tonight with help from Jeno <-- *big hugs and thanks* Next meeting (apart from State Round next weekend) is 8th March, then 5th April - so looking forward to seeing the Clubman out there -

oh you... forgot about you, prolly cos you're never available -
Two hillclimbs at Fairbairn over the next two weekends with the NSW State Championship on 15th Feb, so the best of the best for all categories will be there. http://www.sdmahillclimb.com/ Well worth a look and its free to get in. My car is in peices and making me nervous with only a few days to go! I guess GTRkat understands my torment from when she was trying to get her car out for the xmas cruise. Who is coming this Sunday? Entries close 8pm tonight. Michele (if car is ready) Mark (GTR) Rebecca (GTST) Chris (R34) Jeno? Jo? Donnan? James?? (you really should, you'd go well) GTRkat should be having a crack at this too with all those mods A drivers view of the track CAMS licence and membership available on day, download and take your forms with you to save time, but still need to have entry forms in (email ok) and paid (online ok) by 8pm tonight.

Drifting At Mdtc - 31 Jan 2009, Marulan
Michele replied to StinkyPoo's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Here is some video of the track Its tight and narrow, with the only safe place to overtake on a relatively short straight. If they don't move over for you, you can't get past without going off the track i.e. if they sit in the middle. If you want a decent run without having to slow down for other cars, you have to back off and wait a while to make a gap, then get into it, as you will see Mark doing in the GTR in front of the car with the camera. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=eJt8qXPzG_Q -

Entries are open for Round 1 in Canberra at Fairbairn Park on 15th Feb. If you're thinking about joining and havent got a logbook yet, you still have time so long as you email the photo's and paperwork to CAMS soon (quicker to email than post). The event I think many of you will be interested in is Round 2 & 3 at Bathurst, which is almost like the Speed Weekend. R1 Saturday is up through the Esses starting near the BLCC and R2 is Mountain Straight. FANTASTIC weekend to be had here, two rounds in one weekend. More info and entry forms available from http://www.hillclimbnsw.com/ R1 15/2/09 - Fairbairn R2 7/3/09 - Bathurst (E) R3 8/3/09 - Bathurst (M) R4 19/4/09 - Mt Cooperabung R5 7/6/09 - Mountainview R6 2/8/09 - Ringwood R7 2/9/09 - Bulahdelah R8 4/10/09 - KEP Now for the fun part... Who's COMING???

I'd belt my dogs for less than this LOL Shell, just picture a room full of dogs dry humping air because they can smell a b1tch on heat. Only there isn't any b1tches

that doesn't sound too bad even without a clutch... its a shit of a job, very hard to get to. Mark invented new swear words while he was trying to get into some tight places with my car.
