I got my car tuned by richard. For hard driving and preformance, its excellent, nice and torquey, but i have found that the fule consumption is a bit high and that when cruising, it miss fires occasionally on 3000 rpm.

ill fix it for you, $50 in fule either way (im in brisbane so thats very leniant as I drive a GTR) and then $30 an hour till its fixed.

It came down to a few things, I had a string of good luck, the guys before me had 5 and 6 page traffic histories, I had half a page and they were well spaced out, I had done advanced driver training with a recognized school and the offence wasnt for speeding or hooning - additionally I rocked up early, I was dressed properly, neatly and profesionally, whereas alot of the younger blokes there were not (man you should of seen what they were wearing) I typed up a pretty profesional affidavit myself as well, and I had photos of the location of the offence and was able to sucessfully argue against the lawyer(Im not sure if he really was a lawyer) representing QLD Transport with these. There were a few other things I argued but id prefer to keep some details private. My car will not be blacklisted, This happened around 8 months ago and was in my last car. Hi all Just thought id post up for thoes of you whom are aware of what was going on with me or anyone wishing to know, I have concluded my activities in the brisbane magistrates courts today with the return to me of my lisence, the overturning of my suspension and the full restoration of all my points. In total I was suspended from driving for aproximatly 14 hours. The charge was failure to give way when entering the road from a road related area, 3 points, $105 The suspension was for accumulation of demerit points while driving on a good behaviour bond. Other fee's included $170 in legal advice which was 100% useless, they told me I couldnt, wouldnt, win, unless I hired them. Damn lawyers, the judge told me in court today that he hopes I have fired them. Thanks Ian

sorry to keep hijacking your thread phat25t... The dude down at bob janes seems to think they wont fit. Im not sure what offset would be required? Im also not entierly sure what offset is... I understand 255 is width, 45 is profile and 17 is rim size. is offset distance from the center of the tyre from the center of the hub? The guy at bob jane didnt seem to think the problem would be with the width but with the height...

I thought id made it pretty clear: Skid pan day - No. Track day - Yes. This cruise - Maybe. If whats going on with my life isnt your problem then your concerns / lack of spot at track day arent my problems and I dont care. If your pushed for numbers at the skid pan day then I could of been offered a bit of flexability. As it was I was hit straight up with a yes or no answer so I was forced to go no. I wont be rushed into any decisions by you. I will put my leave-app in tomorrow and if it go's through then ill be there with bells on. As I see it waiting one more day for the deposit wont kill anyone, besides, it wouldnt go through till tomorrow night anyway.

I pulled out of the skid pan day due to other things happeneing in my life - I still want to go but I dont know if I can and wont until later on this week. This was unacceptable to them so I pulled out, as I am not forking out money to go to something which I may or may not be in a position to attend. It is the same for track day, and for this cruise, hence why I said I may go to this. If you would prefer I can put the deposit down now for track day and then see if work approves the leave-app or not. Having just started a new job 3 weeks ago I wanted to leave it as long as possible before I started asking for time off to go to motor-sport events and what not, but if your going to be pushy about it I can see where your coming from. If I cant come however, and you want the spot, I will expect you to pay the deposit to me. As to the two events conflicting, I dont really see the problem... there several days appart, I cant see why someone couldnt go to both, or even all three, skidpan day included. //edit: Just to clarify - its not work thats holding me back from the skid-pan day.

if there was no "toughness" about it, why did you feel it necessary to sink the boot in at the end of the run before the turnoff to summerset dam? it wasnt a friendly give and take, it was a "your shit cause your slow" QR track times can be explained by quite-rooted street tyres, additionally it was my first day at the track. I cant believe im here having this arguement on this forum, because wasnt it you group of guys who jumped on the bandwagon to have my runs put to an end because they were too fast/spirited/dangerous???

it also had alot of work done to its suspension from what I recall, and break upgrades to boot? I on the other hand was running on 18-year old stock suspension and stock disc rotors thin as wafers. But whatever...

Well you cant please everyone. I drive at a slow pace, I piss the revheads like yourself off. I drive at a fast pace, people go home cause they cant hack it. Besides, at the time of said NA supra id had my car for like a month and it was bone-stock. If you and the surpa driver werent such tough-guys on the mountain id be happy to drive it again with you, but a grudge drive with drivers like yourself is only going to end badly.

its a hill tea-party. Most of the RWD drivers here would whinge the tea is too strong for them and go home.
