  1. Cam's are reasonable dude, depends on tune also I guess if we increased the timing the power band could change. I'll hunt around but I've got my garagesauras power run around here somewere and its got bulk timing tuned to 102RON and brings them on much earlier.
  2. Starting to get beyond a joke with the prices involved these days. $300 is what a full ecu tune was a couple of years ago now its crazy. Just to let you know my friend payed 220 for his PROFEC B installed and then dynoed.
  3. Operator got of the gas at 7,000odd, will post up full power run soon.
  4. No cam gears dude. I think the 2530's are reasonable, here is Jonn's dyno with the 2.8 stroker with the same sort of power line locally here also. I think the 2530's would handle more boost and rpm, the 2860's feel awesome for the track ect.
  5. 28.5x8=228kmph in 4th@8000rpm? Mine only does 215-217kmph I think.
  6. Change nothing, just took those turbo's off then replaced them with new ones. The two dyno's make very similar power, as I've compared in the past. Regardless its a tuning tool and turbo's worth just over 2k are good value.
  7. So I've recently replaced my old HKS 2530'S with the GARRETT 2860'S-5. I was instantly impressed with the low down power. I'm still trying to convert the speed into RPM to get a direct comparison. Because the shop that did the power run with the garrett's was a V8 place they didnt realise the RPM limit, getting off it at around 7,000rpm in 4th opposed to 8,200rpm so the run was never complete. Now, they were different dyno's but I've had my car on both previously making nearly the same power. But needless to say these GARRETT turbo's are good bang for buck. On the garrett run we had major issues with wheel spin, seen in the dyno also. HKS 2530'S made 21PSI at 5300 GARRETT 2860'S made 20PSI at 4,300
  8. PROFEC B, simple to install and easy to operate. 2 settings high and low and hold boost well.
  9. Thats abit excessive around 400-500km is fine. Thats what I've done with twin plates & button clutches are they always have worked well.
  10. Item:HKS GT2530X2 Age:NEW REBUILT 0KM Condition:PERFECT Price:2800 ONO To Fit:GTR (What car) Location:WA MANDURAH 6210, WILL SEND BUYERS EXPENSE Contact:0400207743/PM Comments:NO WATER/OIL LINES, THESE TURBO'S ARE AWESOME UPGRADE AND HAVE JUST RECENTLY BEEN REBUILT AFTER THE REAR BEARINGS FAILED, ALL THE RECEIPTS ARE AVAILABLE AND THEY HAVE NOT TRAVELLED 1 METER
  11. The car was driven under normal conditions, I don't think it was followed up though.
  12. He's clutches seem great from what I have read, but first hand experience was the opposite. We got one made up from my friends XR6T with 400~hp and it melted away after 1000km if that, wasnt overly impressed.
  13. 4k be reasonable if it was in good working order. 2k for a bomb.
  14. I've just taken mine off for the first time. Used a jack to get to underneath and that was it.
  15. My gtr has eaten my backside to bits.
  16. Meet Harvey Norman 7.30pm. Corner of Mandurah Road & Gordon Road Headng North. see www.clubmotavate.com --> events for more info.
  17. Not really worth it, requires alot of time and labour to set them up right on the dyno also. So the initial cost will blow out after the tune ect.
  18. So the 2530 loose bottom end but make up for it with outright power. While the 2860's come on earlier and drop off?. That seems to be the trend when researching.
  19. One will require a rebuild. So you will require to rebuild the other also.
  20. In the process of selecting new turbos to suit 500~hp for street/track/drag use. I've looked around and nearly have bought some new HKS 2530's but the 2860's seem to be pulling some reasonable numbers. Anyone personally here making 500~hp with them care to respond about them performance ect?
  21. That mph is good for mid-high 12's. If its 4WD you should be launching around 1.8ish bud, drop your tyre pressure?
  22. Why rebuild or repair a turbo when its nearly the price of buying one new?. The HKS GTRS will love 2 bar.
  23. Most workshops tune power fc's often so unless your car is on the edge race car all tuners should be able to do a suitable job with the application and its mods. Be prepared to pay though, all places are around $140-$160 per hour and expect 2-5 hours for a tune.
  24. Was the GTS-T on the cover off all the motor mags in the 90's.
