Just a tip mate. Most workshops get the blocks and heads sent away to engine builders. Why not go to the source and speak to them about assembling a motor if you provide the parts bought online you will save yourself some cash in the long run. In regards to getting the motor out find some friends or family to help or source someone cheap. Also with workshops you'll find if you bring your own parts the labour might be higher in the case of you purchasing everything from them because they generally make some money on the parts around 30% ~.

Well the day previous when I turned her off the turbos sounded slightly louder but it was late and tired so I disregared it. Next day she has a heart attack haha. Cheers mate.

Hi guys, Im pretty confident my rear turbo is dead but im after some opinions. Before I completly rip them off this weekend. HKS 2530S on GTR. Makes first dyno run fine on low boost making around 370, then switced it onto high for the power run. Car makes no boost what so ever. You can normally hear the turbos spinning when the car is cooling down, but now one is really loud and sounds like its dragging something and makes and whinging noise when it trys to come onto boost, workshop said it was the turbo so I think it is. I limped it home with no boost and parked her up. Car drives fine, no smoke ect. Turbos have seen around 1 bar for the last 3 years and were in good nick when last inspected. Cheers, Clint

I'm trying to figure what exactly goes on with these two company's in regards to the production of there turbo parts. Several people have told me garret make the parts for hks, while others have said HKS parts are different. Can someone shed some light on the topic?

208kw stock at the motor is around 200-210rwhp, with is around 140-150od rwkw on a new motor. Seems reasonable to me, depending on the dyno ect
