No offense to you...nor anyone else who uses this figure 206kw. The figure was made up by manufacturers in Japan in the late 80's and followed through to the late nineties. They thought that a KW war would not help the development of the cars...(one thing Holden and Ford here should have learned from)....and so it was a gentlemen agreement to agree that if any car exceeded 206kw it would be rated at that. Everyone knows a GTR KW out of the factory was more like 240KW's odd.... What pisses me off though is some EPA tests conducted use this figure...ie noise DB/REV Back to the Topic.................................everyone by a gtr this way they grow in popularity and like the supply and demand curve..(which I have always found it hard to understand).... the prices will increase............and we will be rich......rich I say...hahahahahahahahah

Its ok....you have a few posts...and 1 rating.... It is always right to ask questions.....so you may learn. But it is more important you read some sticky's...ie Turbo upgrades etc before you ask a question about turbo choices etc..for a car you have built in your head.

Well,that is great...did they say what they thought went wrong. Post up who tuned and tweeked it so anyone here can search latter on. Also what they said they did to fix the dirty fuel?

I have a set on mine(Splitfire)....only because I had some of the old ones crack. I have the cover off(To allow ventilation)...ignition module earthed... Tape up all the loom.....tape up your coils.....only change the set if you start seeing problems.. But if you have money...buy them ASAP....cause your pocket is on fire.

There are many reasons why your piston could have gone....... It takes a keen eye and some one in the know that could have detected your problem earlier. 88K.....no......could have been 288K..... But lets not cry over spilt milk. Over heating- -due to injector not delivering enough fuel into the chamber(most likely cause for this problem...check your plug to see if the end of it was ok..or was not there... -due to oil starvation....not enough oil -due to blockage in some galleries...likely cause..incorrect or old oil -injector blockage. Anyway...before you rebuild make sure you know what your going to use it for. Make sure you know.....how it failed before...addressing the problem. Then take it to a engine re-builder..who has worked with RB26 motors before..and has many who are happy with the results....with NO RELIABILITY ISSUES...after the re-build. Edited:change your fuel pump..it could have also caused your problem.

225 tyres will be to large for any type of track work....unless it is for drag. 205/45/16 are the way to go on 6 Inch rims for your car.....remember wider is not always better. EDITED..Sorry..I meant 205/55/16..Cheers -------------------------------------------------- Your side walls will hold in corners with this size. Also if you forget to pump up your tyres and run lower pressure for a while with the 225's your side wall corner tread will wear quickly and you will have to run...high pressures after to try and even them out. Don't forget also...some tyre manufacturers under state the widths..so also depends on the make.

Ok Here is your answer..BANG FOR BUCKS Turbo...computer..electronic boost controller .dumps..tune If you have these then new cat 3"Metal(free flow type),Z32 AFM,3 inch exhaust cat back. How much power are you chasing?....And what Mods do you have? Think of the World of Turbo's as a World of compressed air...the more you force through the better the power results.... So..Pods...New AFM...Z32 in your case..Larger front mount Inter-cooler,Better turbo,dumps,front pipe,free flow cat,exhaust..non restrictive. (A QUOTE BRUCE LEE WOULD HAVE BEEN PROUD OF) Then,fuel supply,fuel delivery(injectors)...tune. Which part are you up to?
