yeh buddy, i'm not sure exactly what the fine is, but soon you will lose demerit points. so its not really worth it. but lots of people on here say they have never been told off for power to weight. if you keep your car stock, obviously the less likely you are to get pulled over. i guess its just luck of the drawer. me personally have never been pulled over in almost 6 months i've had my car.

correct me for saying that we 'needed' to tow a boat. what was meant was, you need a 4x4/truck to tow a 2 and a half tonne boat can this thread get back on topic now?

lol. My family sometimes like to fish, sometimes we jsut go out on the bay for a cruise. every summer we drive up to new south whales, towing the boat. if i don't need to tow a boat, how do you expect it to get from my house, to the water. Why would we pay to keep it at the marina when we have a 2 and a half acre property to store it. So i think in our case, yes we need to tow it. did you not know that LOTS or people have boats? have you ever been to a boat ramp in summer?

i don't live in the metropolitan area, I'm in the outer suburbs. in fact, even if i did live in the metropolitan area, i don't see how i would be classified as an idiot. (if thats what you are implying) there are reasons some people need 4x4 cars. in my (family's) case its to tow a boat. does that mean, i should walk 4k's instead of using a car that is sitting readily in the driveway, to avoid you calling me an idiot.

I often drive dad's turbo diesel land cruiser, and because of that, I'm an idiot? "P platers". What your implying is that 'ALL' P platers cant drive? a few P platers have done advanced driving education course's. I'm not saying, wow if you have done a few course's then your top shit. but you defiantly have more knowledge than the average joe on the road. I think a lot of P platers can drive (at the normal road rule's) its when they think there Keiichi Tsuchiya and they exceed there knowledge of driving, therefor 'not knowing how to drive', for those conditions.
