Skyline is basiclly sold now... Got a car yard to put an offer on it, so now I have a week to try and sell it for more however I dont think it will as everyone are tyre kickers these days... Im asking a grand more that the car yard has offered, and its gonna cost a grand to put it through road worthys and mod plates... So im not holding my breath...

I read this yesterday, but it was not until I say the photos of the car burnt out did it hit me. I fell so bad for you, and I hope these people get whats coming to them in one way or another (karma). Did they steel the wheels from it too? Or was the original photo an old one? I assume it was just a joyride and then they ditched the car and burnt it out to hide any fingerprints and the like? I wish the theives had put their foot down round a corner and hit a pole of something and get trapped in it for the police to come get them. Upside is insurance will get you a new car, no major loss and you always have your health.

It results in pushing the current ASP's (Average selling price) down on anything imported. Its killing the technoligy industry at the moment as grey imports are 1/2 the price of the retail stores. Which may sound good now, but wholesalers will compensate by jacking up profit margins now and once the dollar drops again the ASP's will rise again to higher prices that before the wave started. In short its good right now, but will be bad round xmas time when most people spend a packet. My advice shop for xmas now... IE. 50" High def plazma from Sony (Bravia X series) in China $2200AUD, in Australia $4800AUD (quoting cheapest prices seen). Even if you pay through the teeth on shipping its still going to be a grand less than is sells for in Australia. Thats the problem with a astong dollar... Its always about supply and demand, everything in this world is about supply and demand... You better be, no one understands world economic pressures on the depressed seal cubs in antartica like me

Yeah the market sucks atm... But thats only cause the AUD is very strong against the Greenback atm... Give it a few months and the price of imports will rise again a solid 15%... I think ill hang onto mine until the US dollar re-gains strength...
