  7. Would be interesting to see if they actually are listed with the transport department or if they are just saying they are ADR approved. Reason I question it was a few month back ACA ran a story on bullbars and how companys were making them and putting the ADR sticker on the bar for airbag complience when the bars were never tested. Not saying thats the case with these, but something I didt consider when making my statement was the aussie dollar is quite strong atm which has made the price crash on many imported items, materials and so forth. So it could be possible i guess, At $800AUD thats a good buy!
  8. Onto more fun stuff, I had the water patrol drop by the afternoon, AGAIN. This time I complained harrasement to the council and they are not to ever come back to my property when a neighbour reports me using the hose. You see when we built our house we got water tanks and cause there has been no rain I have bought water from a local dam, it was delivered in a truck and I was supplied with and invoice. OK happy days, well no. One of my lovelly new neighbours thinks im using tap water all the time even tho I have a big "Tank water in use" sign. So they keep ringing council to complain, so council keep sending out water patrol. Different guys each time, every time I supply my water invoice and show them the tanks and pump. They then say thanks for you time and leave. So after today (4th visit from water patrol this fortnight) I blew a fuse with them, called the council (round 1pm) told them to put it under our name on their computer never to send another patrol to my house after someone complains or I will sue them for harrisment. The council called me back just now (5pm) and said no one will ever bother you again and sorry for the hassle. WOOOHOOOO!!!
  9. Some claim over moderation, some claim under moderation. If you have and issue with a post/thread than report it. I wont do anything unless it is against the forum guidelines, sometimes I dont see posts/theads so you need to brin them to the mods attention for fast action. Cheap coming from you! You'll get there in time.
  10. Thats no good, im sure you will sort it out tonight Probablly just a wiring issue somewhere, broken clip on a sensor or earth leakage. Mick will find it...
  11. Firstlly no one said he was full of sh1t, He raised a few valid points. Many police own nice cars, but they belong to the officer. Yes its true they are always on duty to a degree, yes they can fine you when out of uniform and off duty while driving their own car. We used to have a regular user of SAU that was an officer and owned a very nice R33 GTR with a number of mods. Was a very quick little car in fact, but he owned it. Many used to bug him to ask questions about "what should i do if" and "is this legal" and so forth. The traffic branch have many types of D cars, but all are less than 3 years old and must be current models, this is their own rules. Remember when they retired the Monaro's which at the time were only about a year old. This was due to Holden ceasing production of the car, so they switched to XR6 Fords F6 Typhoons for the highway patrol. As they were and still are current. They DO NOT however drive conferscated cars that belong to members of the public, under any circumstances on a patrol. PS> Sidenote, you should also have a search in the QLD section for a topic called "Undercover cop car register" as it is a thread that posts many a car that has pulled someone over. Its an interesting read actually and its a pity it does not get used these days.
  12. I liked the story line, very few movies make me feel a part of the movie. But this one did... Had me sitting on the edge of my seat...
  13. They generally give you a business card with their details... As for the conferscated cars things, nah not true. Urban myth. They could not handle half the cars conferscated

  16. You mean cause of the drought? Yeah with the drought in full effect ive noticed it easier to get a late booking to tee off, I can only gather that people are driving up or down the coast to greener courses. Yeah, some things in life dont make sence. Hopefully common sence provails and we all get to enjoy some quality lakeside time soon...
