What i meant to say was for many to come with their cameras if they would all like a photographic night...
Im not always about cars, i have done a few shoots in a studio with models and motorbikes...
But im up for all topics and will shoot anything...
Hey if a car cannot handle a redline dump and burn for atleast one set of tires then you didnt build it stong enough...
LOL
I busted my old clutch at willowbank doing a 3rd gear burnout... The crowd loved it, I was really impressed. But whats most impressive is that i did it in a controlled enviroment.
I understand that long periods of time running high pis like 14-16 or what ever will break the turbo.
I just could not do it...
I ran 3-4 track days at 13.4psi and never had an issue...
Im not saying that the turbo is great and you get heaps of power, thats why i upgraded to a gt30 but the stock turbo is good for 200rwkw all day...
Nice engine pics back there Shaneo....
I like the typical 26/30 gap in the front cover...
Love it... Looks like you have a fair amount of work left tho... I hate the fiddley bits...
Thought i should shed some light...
Pull type clutchs will suit all the GTR's 32,33 & 34
They will also suit the series 2 R33 (96 model onwards)
Also
All R32 GTS, GTS-T's
All Series 1 & 1.5 R33 GTS, GTS-T
These vechicles are all push type clutchs
Matt Spry tuned my car when i bought my pfc...
He set my SBC ID-III to 13.4 psi and said not a peeny more and not a penny less...
He did clearify that the tune needs to be almost perfect to keep it reliable... If you do a dodgy tune you will break it...
It achieved a round 200rwkw with really impressive responce...
Then from there i was not happy so i spent 7 grand on a bottom end and new turbo...
I ran my stocker at 14-15-16-17psi for a few days trying to break it and i could not break it...
Clear Mountain is also good for day shots up top...
You can see all the way to the bay... I am wanting to get up there again soon with the camera to get some photos...
Victoria point is good for photos and i have shot there a few times. But its impossible to get the car and the city in the same shot...
Look at my avatar thats a shot from victoria point (minus the photoshop)
Nice work btw John, cameras are so much fun!!!
The only reason i asked is that i bought Volk TE37's which are 9.5" wide... As i wanted the extra bite for the power my car makes... Plus of course the extra wider wheel base in terms of track use...
It just seems that allot of people are doing spacers so they can use a cheaper rims and achieve either a flush look with the guards or they want the wider wheel base...
Personally i reckon you cannot beat ray's rims to the offset that suits your application, spacers scare me...
Id be down to a tyre shop...
There they would look at many of the above things and they can do them all in the same place...
1. Wheel alignment
2. Wheel weights and balance is correct
3. Tyre is out of round or de laminating
All three are easilly fixed and can all be done at your local.
Rohan I dont mind that you post it here.
Not like this happens everyday and under these special circumstances you may by all means chat about the cruise here.
If you guys decide to do a cruise please use the events section once you have started the thread. Then link it to this one.
But at this stage by all means state your thoughts here about the posibility of a cruise. Please use the thread in the wasteland if you feel the need to state how he was and how you feel. However be warned that Aussie Zoo is packed to the brim and the traffic up towards beerwah is nuts atm. The car park is being controled by Police and the attention as a group of skylines may cause the fuzz to be attracted towards you.
Good quality photos and really good info there "WhitePrincess"
What were your reasons for using spacers for???
Wider rubber on different offset rims???
I went past there at about 8:30pm on my way home from the city (Nikon Training) and thought i wish tuesday night dinner was at nando's then i see this...
You would not have seen me as i was in a company car anyways... I could not stop either as i was not driving sorry and of course i didnt know you guys were there...
You wont find anyone here...
Maby try the 'Z' Club...
On a side note: Personally i get a little anoyed at some ppq plates. I mean in terms of combinations that make no sence and people say its this and you go arhhh... Then they try to sell them for stupid money when no one gets it??? END RANT
