yep, so the problem is no transfer of rego on the date you release the car can cause a whole lot of issues. Lets say they run a red light camera and do 100kph through the Clem 7 and guess who gets the tickets? A written document signed or not wont help, you need to sign and date the rego transfer papers the day the car drives away. You keep one page which shows the date of release and who it was too, incase this very thing happens. They then have 2 weeks to go to the transport dept to pay the transfer fee's. Doing it any other way and your open to being bent over... Just take his deposit and hold the car until he is ready to do it right...

Forgive me if ive lived under a rock but what damage could he do with a bsb and acc number? I mean to withdraw from my accounts you can do it two ways; 1. ATM - need your card & PIN number at an ATM for up to $1000 per day. 2. BANK - If over $1000, you need to go in person with the card/acc details still need your PIN plus you need your drivers licence. Obviously you would not give him/her the keys to the car until payment has cleared. Like sending something you sold on ebay and the buyer using direct transfer.

No worries Brad we will def catch up for a BBQ and a swim while we are on holidays... Nay doesnt know it yet but we are going oveaseas next week As for double points guys, QLD police discontinued that system a few years ago... now all year round rules apply, the second fine for the same offence within 12 months carrys double... example; * speed 10kph over today get a fine, * speed 10kph over within 12 months of the first fine and get double points/penalty on the second offence...

Afternoon Guys, Just a quick note to say Merry Christmas and a safe happy new year to all the users. I hope you have plenty of time off to spend with family & friends. This time of year everyone seems to be in a rush, so just take it at your own pace. If you are traveling this season take it easy, remember to think about not driving if you've had a few drinks. When driving long distance make sure you have plenty of breaks and remember there no rush so stick to the speed limit.
