I think you guys have the right attitude to succeed... Oh and Mark the rewards will be ever more satisfying when you can relax back in Brisbane in a fortnight or so with the wife & kids... Good luck to the team, I wish you all have a safe journey and remember to have fun... You deserve it... Shame i cant be there myself to cheer you all on (work calls)...

yep thats the one... i saw him coming in from the left, knew it was gonna hit me so i tucked right in an turned my head to the right a little while looking down then "bang" was like a stone into the top of the helmet i didn't want him to hit the visor, i was afraid a bird would smash straight threw it and you cant stay up right if you cant see anything
-
also, did anyone catch my bird strike on my second run? i copped a bird in the head at 200'ish... track staff had to go pick it up...

great job as always to the willowbank staff and to the club for organizing this event... each year is grows and from what i saw there were plenty of smiling faces... it was nice of them to let me run against some cars again this year, its always fun... the r35 was a solid run and so was the green stagea, you both were on my heels... my best et of the day was a 10.910 @ 134.5mph my best mph for the day was 10.923 @ 136.8mph all in all i had 13 runs, all were between 10.9 & 11.2... (except one 12 second run where i hit neutral at the 1/8th) so very happy with the consistency... even with the front wheel in the air I still ran 11.1 and 11.0... it was tough to get the power down off the line, the bike would either skid (which is fun) or would lift the wheel (which is also fun) but neither are fast ways of getting down the strip... next time im setting the tps to 100% and going for broke (9's here we come)...
