  1. i sometimes get this problem as well. Just as im slowing down, or just stopped, everything cuts out. its a good thing it only happens when your not moving, but its a disconcerning.
  2. do u think you could get us some pics? if the prep work is easy enough, this could be something i could knock up without too much fuss. ive got a very similar set up to the one u described as well.
  3. ive got my timing belt here, it came off a 94' GTS R33. Nissan 13028 20P10 141T i dont think the timing belt would be 40bucks, that seems too cheap. the cheapest i found was 80 odd bucks from justjap. there is 142, (plus or minus 1, lost count) bumps or ridges on the timing belt.
  4. Yeh it would be a louder induction noise. What was the downside to that, i think i missed something
  5. or you can simply pocket the 8000 grand (or smartly invest it), pimp in dunnydore for a while longer and get a decent car in a year or two, basically what Pva sed.
  6. perhaps the problem isnt with the car but the bad batch of LSD that you took?
  7. wack a nissan sticker onto your aftermarket ecu.
  8. if u have 8000, why dont u look into the 15year old cars, 88' model at the moment can be brought in. you can pick up things like VR4's, Celica GT4s, R32 GTST (4wd and 4dr) to name a few within that sort of budget.
  9. if your get the intake pipe to be the same diameter as the stock one, there shouldnt really be any ramifications at all. I didnt know what the thing off teh side of teh intake was either :-? gaining or losing power would be from the result of changing the size of the diameter of the pipe. If the pipes are cheap and easy t make, maybe consider making 2 or 3 in different sizes and determine if you can feel any difference's.
  10. consider going for DBA slotted disc's with GTST/z32 4 pot callipers, which can be bought 2nd hand for about 400 dollars (pair)
  11. most places sell the timing belt for 90-120 bucks. you can pick up a fancy trust/greddy belt for 300 odd but i dont think thats needed. time taken to do the change is 3-4hours pending on experience of person. other belts worth changing at the same time, theres two i think, they cost about 30bucks together.
  12. The Stock heat shield cant be modified to accept the new extractors?
  13. holy cow those stock extractors look scary O_O
  14. no over night parts from japan?
  15. 6 speed supra box sounds like a good idea, ive heard (could be wrong info) that its box had quite short gears in it. I found that strange since i expected a broad torque spread on supra TT's.
  16. can u describe the noise a bit better? After i had mine timing belt changed, there was this noise that occured just slightly above idle. It was like a high pitch, fast humming or sqeeling noise, which i figured it was the timing belt working it self it. i solved that issue by getting a loud cat back, now i dont even hear when the GF starts to nag me
  17. jetspeed didnt do any of the prep work on my kit, it was done by someone else, and they did a very good job and took alot of care. They also hate Jetspeed. My kit sagged, was gaps....later i realised why they refused to give me a Jetspeed sticker (i didnt know shit at the time), they didnt want there bad workmanship displayed for all to see. The kits dont kit properly because they are made poorly to start with. Jetspeed make this particular rear bar for hondas, any honda, and from the many MANY cars in my area that have that rear bar, it looks like its One Size Fits all job. Not uncommong for gaps measuring in INCHES, but this may also have something to do with the buyer and how cheap they are.
  18. rollling an R34 GTR. holy crap he must be been doing somthing REALLY stupid.
  19. the 6th speed in the commo box is there for fuel economy reasons. Please do not go ahead with this conversion.
  20. Get better tyres. You will find a very tangible difference in the way the car feels, drives, and responds.
  21. Good chance that is a vodafone number, sms spam the daylights out of him from icq for free.
  22. That article in HPI, the guy had a later model 180sx with an SR20DE with VVT if i recall correctley. They didnt make much power from that engine at all, they almost went backwards when they added the first set of extractors (lost a fair bit of mid range)
  23. SR20DE is in the order of 105kw @ engine. thats for the NON VVT redtop engine. www.silviansw.com for very useful info on sils and 180s as for mods, exhaust, intake, cam shafts do a bit for the SR-DE engine.
  24. i thought the stock ones when from 6->2->1 formation. regardless of what it is, how much do they weight out of curiosity
  25. Please dont advertise in this forum, unless it has something specific to do with NA skylines. The rules are set for a reason.
