    was he using the old headbolts? if so bad practice, secoendly make sure the bolt holes are cleaned and free of water/oil/crap so the bolt can go all the way in and not hydrolic lock due to shit in the bolt hole and thirdly lube the new headbolts lightly.

    i had a chipped ecu in my car awhile back, it cost me a motor, i would personaly from that experiece not use a chipped item.

    just read over what i posted, my point was that the engine ingests the fumes under vacum, didnt think it was open at idle because the extra air would fluctuate the idle to much fumes dont burn as good oh well.
