grim i had the same thing when i got my car dynoed, couldnt hear any pinging, but the dyno driver (with earmuffs on) stopped the run, llol oh well i guess thats what i paid for.

sorta similar situation, red p's lost my license once already, im now 22 still on my red p's and awaiting a court case to retain it right now, my insurance quote from only insurer that would touch me was $7300, full comp, my car was stolen but thank f**k it was recoverd, intact with minor damage, i now have to pay to get panels repaird etc etc,it helps im a mechanic so i can do all my own work, however for the sake of payin $20k and then having it go missing never to return,its not a nice phone call at 3am when the cops tell you they was just in a pursuit with your car, you have to question if its worth it, as it stood with all the mods done to my car if i never got it back i wouldve lost close to what your gona be spending, im not a fan of driving a shitbox either, just make sure you think very f**king hard about if its worth loosing 20k rather then gaining a skyline. p.s lachlan give the kid a break,

best way i could explain it is to look at your new bumper, see where the bolt holes are in that and then go to your car and look in that area, bolts in the wheel arch plus 2 bolts either side of the bumper in the middle.

isnt it generaly safe to assume a min of 15% gain over std ecu? i have basicaly same mods except upgraded turbo on my r32 rb20. ive just orderd a pfc and i have cam gears, i would suggest for the sake of it purchase a cheap exhaust cam gear and dial it all in on the dyno at the same time, thats my plan and contrary to the previous post depending on how you set em up, i would expect a slight but cost effective mid range gain...

like dont get me wroung, not bagging em out, just the electronic fed gauges are extremly precise on/off boost where as the autometer ones bounce around alot from the ones ive seen.

how much is the deep dish set of starcorp impuls? 18x9.5 ? mainly just rears if anyone knows individual price..

im guessing by your fluctuations its a vacum signaled boost gauge, the one on my car is digital and vacum fed gauge, i never liked how much the autometer gauges bounce around. you want accuracy not a friken wave of boost.

ive seen xactly the same thing happen to a hsv gto monaro the awd ones with 300kw, except there was a lil more on the hubs then just the center bit lol.... p.s the car hit a wall doing approx 180km to damage the rim im talking about, as can be expected :S

de turboing a skyline is like puttin a gtr engine in a mustang, should never be done yet alone thought of. but i do however understand your predicament, i would do as nizmoid suggested and keep the skyline for yourself

so what sorta kw are we talking when a std rb20 afm maxs out at? or is it boost related?
