  1. What a sad waste. Insted strip the cars and ship the parts over to OZ......im sure us import owners wouldnt mind pillaging the parts......
  2. There was another thing I noticed, not car related but game related even though its a small thing, rear vision mirror does not pick up any signs or a-frame banners. was try to reverse into a discount sign one after missing it.
  3. They should make a JDM drift pack with the real performers of Japan. Its about time we saw some of japans sedans in games: - R32 Skyline 4door - R33 Skyline 4door - R34 Skyline 4door (not in blitz trim) - C33 - C35 Laurel (only ever released in Tokyo Extreme racer series) - A31 Cefiro (only ever released in Tokyo Extreme racer series) - JZX 81-110 I for one don't find a mini or a fiat 500r bambino (abarth) an interesting addition to a game designed to break every road rule on the planet. Just saying....
  4. Nah mate, have just about checked everything on this engine. Checked plugs, afm, aac, vacuum lines everywhere, tps, cas. Its none of those things. Done the paper clip trick but no sensors are reporting errors (code 55). The vct solenoid has a leak coming out of the plug end not at te threads. Ran a 12v feed to the solenoid to test ot was working and it was. Hooked up a test light to the battery 12v and to the vct ground wire off the ecu. No light even when driving. So this lead me to think that there is something wrong with the ecu unless there is something else i am missing. I had the problem for awhile and have researched as much info as i could find engine wise so not im starting to wonder if it is ecu.

  6. Hey all as the topic states, I need to request the services of someone on the sunny coast driving an R34 non turbo auto. My missos skyline seems to be runing like sh!t and Im putting it down to no VCT, Ive rewired the vct off the ecu to see if the torque comes back up but nothing. Would anybody be willing to meet up over a 6 pack of beers or something (if under 18 haha) and let me change over ECU to make sure the one in our car is not rooted? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cars symptoms include: no vct, no torque, no power, bad feul economy, hard to start when warm. Runs and idles with no problems ignition wise.

  8. I thought vct advanced the timing through certain rev ranges to let more air into the cylinders? Not sure on this but i think i read somewhere it did. So if its not working then it would burn more fuel wouldnt it?
  9. the only way I know to test is to drive plugged in, the drive unplugged. if the is a difference in acceleration/performance the the vct is working, if there is no difference thn plug is cactus.
  10. I have the same issue, I was wondering if it was my vct coz its failed. it starts fine when cold but when warm is hard to start, it has no torque, and drinks fuel like tipping a cup upside down. does ur car have these symptoms?
  11. Hey guys, I'm having issue with my 34 still. I found out the vct solenoid is no longer working and leaking through the plug. Need to know if anyone can confirm a hot start problem with the vct not plugged in. I'm trying to source a solenoid but its proving difficult. fuel consumption is poo, car is hard to start once its warm, and has shocking performance. Does anyone know if a failed vct would give a hot start prob.
  12. Finally sorted out the mess. Of the 100 or so plugs in the loom on 2 are used for A/c unit. with the aid of a bodged up 12v test light i have found the sneaky wires causing my troubles.
  13. I dont think its anything to do with solenoids or batteries. The rb25s are all built the same. The series 2 doesnt have this problem. It seems to be a regular occurance on the neos. They start fine cold but when warm sound like they want to start but just dont as if no fuel or spark is present. I think it has something to do with the neos design or tune.
  14. Yeh have been doing research into this problem (seems very common with 25 Neos) I have checked the earth from the engine to the chassis to the battery and its all healthy. Battery is in the factory position. I mite give it a clean up and maybe bare back the earthing points to freshen it up. Have read earthing can solve the issue.

  16. Not 100% sure on 33s, but im going off my c33 laurel, most jap stuff is the same. Does the window go up with the passenger side control? Generally central locking is controlled by the master unit. But in saying that, if the master unit is broken, you should still be able to power the window with the passenger side. Is the window up at the moment or stuck in the down position?
  17. Usually it has to do with the power window amplifier in the door that fails to operate. If its broken then youur cannot operate the window. if you have mates with a 33 see if you can borrow one to test.
  18. Have you done a timing belt change recently? If so did it start doing afterwards?
  19. Have you changed the timing belt recently? If so, did it start doing it afterwards? I have the same issue, picked up a 34 gt, the timing belt was done 5 weeks ago (before I picked it up). Ive been looking over the same things and none have fixed the issue. However, looking at the CAS the previous owner has marked it but it doesnt look to be correctly aligned with the marks, but not sure on this as the marks were made on the washer...... It seems to be in an advanced position.

  21. Hey all, Picked up an R34 4door and as the tital states it has issue starting. When its cold usually starts perfect, but once its warmed up and you try to start it usually struggles to start (usually fails first attempt to start). Ive tried cleaning the AAC valve, the AFM is a brand spanker since the old one broke. Not sure if its stuggling to get fuel or not. If I blip the accelerator it starts up (only tried this on the second attempts). Any other ideas? Thanks guys
  22. Hey guys, I picked up an R34 4dr for the gf. It was fitted with the satnav unit, but as it never worked the previous owners ripped it out. My issue is, Im changing the head unit over but the pervious installer made a mess of the wiring, Plugs have been cut off wires cut down, news wires installed etc. Instead of the messy soldering, I always choose to make up plugs for my units, normally an 8 pin plug (speakers) and a 3 pin plug, GND/12V/IGN. So the speakers went together ok, but the previous wiring miss led me to believe that the RED was IGN, BLACK was GND and YELLOW was 12V. (These wires along with the speaker wires, I guess were installed to match universal wiring looms for head units) Nothing responds, checked the fuses both inside and in the engine bay. Ive just about lost my sh!t looking over the wiring plans as the colours suggested to be the required wires do not seem to be present. Also searched just about every topic in this forum based on Head unit wiring and diagrams. -Can anybody post up some pics of the wiring in their car? -Does anybody know what loom the head unit plugs are on, there seem to be two plugs that fit the CD/tapedeck unit, but dont resemble the pin out diagram (one is for the power relay for the XANAVIA HU, which was removed). NOTE: - I dont have a multimeter, want to do it without if possible, as these have never been an issue in the past. - I didnt copy the original wiring as it came apart during removal (twisted wires with no length covered in electrical tape, VERY PROFESSIONAL.......) Any help would be awesome. Thanks guys. Pics to follow of the mess im in.....would feel more comfortable sitting in soiled jocks. haha.

  24. Good luck with the sale mate, If i had the coin it would be sitting in my garage, Ive only ever owned C33s, actually Ive owned 3. I agree with toffy, Finding these with the factory turbo set up with the sunroof option that is unmolested and not pigged out is almost impossible. Also love that it still HAS the OEM Users manual for nostalgia. HOPE this thing goes to a good home. Once again good luck Mikey. EDIT: Just read that you want more power out of the S13.....get rid of the S13 and keep the Laurel hahah, too many S13s on the road.
