i have a mate who has just removed the front HR31 struts from his GTS 4door import, its just the struts and hubs as he had to use the rotors and brakes on his new set up. if this interests you i can ask him $$$

has it run out of rego in SA?? if so i'd say to rego it in NSW you would have to do what ever is required to rego a new car there? i've, in the last 2 months, bought a car from VIC and rego'd it here in QLD, the rego had run out 2 days before i got it rego'd here and had to just get a road worthy cert and rego it as a new QLD car. i hear the NSW requirements are pretty tuff though. you might have to get what ever the problem in SA was fixed anyway....

just as well i have a HR30 then, all i've done is add an extra cam...

i'll re-write this tonight as there are a few options that i have tried and fitted now....

mostly stock rb25det auto 3" turbo back exhaust Pod filter FMIC stock boost 6psi, stock r33 fuel pump & stock r33 ECU. 200.3 rwhp untuned (the .3 makes me feel better) new parts waiting to be added and new tuned dyno run to come.

Item: Rear S-13 just jap 5 stud conversion hubs Age: Brand new still in bubble rap Price: $225 ono - Plus postage To Fit: Anything with an S-13 rear end Location: Gold Coast QLD Contact: PM me here or 0421 427 408 Comments: There is nothing wrong with these hubs as they were just not required for the conversion i am doing, bought as a front / rear set front just jap. will be posted as is still in original box. the great thing about these is they offer you 5 or 4 stud, use the 4 stud and your current rims until you can afford those better bigger rims then it takes 5 mins to change the pattern to 5 stud and off you go (don't forget to re-drill your rear rotors to5 stud)..

to do that right would cost more than the hubs, a lot of stresses go through the struts and you don't want that the crack going around a corner.. you be better off getting r31 struts and having the threaded sleves welded on to convert them to height adj with some good shock incerts. what you got to think about is "why s-13 coilovers" what do you want them for: height adj - for about 400 you can get height adj kits from Noltec / cusco, $500 a bloke on ebay will send you a front set of struts already made with springs and adj strut tops, $800 and they come with new incerts, These are for and r31 but the only difference to the r30 struts is they are shorter by 30-40mm...you would have to get a set of r31 rotors and calipars but they are bigger and better then the r30 items so thats a plus...

whats funny with the s-13 tie rod end and r30 tie rods ends is that they look exactly the same it's just the s-13 items are tapered to slot into the hubs, and the thread is wrong direction to just bolt them onto the r30 rack ends. i never worried as i never went with the coilovers in the r30, i put them in but never drove the car with them in. you could just put the king nut on upside down??

it can't be done without the hubs as the s-13 use seperate hubs and shocks.. the strut tops don't have to be changed as they fit but only allow a small amount of chamber adj using s-13 tops, if you are wanting lots of chamber then look into cusco r30 strut tops... you can just see here where the coilover bolts to the hub if the brake line wasn't in the way.

what you need is the S-13 coilovers themselves, s-13 hubs and try to get the matching brakes/rotors for the s-13 unless you want to go to r32-34 items ( re-drilled rotors to 4-stud with larger rims needed) optional items: s-13 tie rod end ball joints re pressed into your r30 items, r30 adj strut tops suited to the coilovers you get, s-13 adj tops have to be reversed so you loose most of the -chamber adjustment. they all just bolt in using the r30 Lower control arms, but you have to wind out your steering rack ends and get a wheel alighment..

don't take this the wrong way but your R33 is not quite a "classic skyline" yet give it a few more years

just bought a set of bfgoodrich g-force profiler's, 235 x 40 18" at $225 each. went looking with just price in mind $250 a trye, these were the tyres recomended to me by all 4 places i went to. the bloke i finally got them off told me not to expect much for the first 1000km then i should start to feel the difference. anyone used these before?

took some new pics this morning, don't have enough time to fully clean it inside but you get the idea and everything will be in 100% condition before it gets sold anyway..
