  1. are you talking r31 or r30??
  2. i like the GT-X 2000, very interesting machine..... the autotrader add goes nowhere when i click on it??
  3. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nissan_engines "Straight-6 Nissan's Straight-6 engines include: 1965-1967 Nissan H engine — 3.0 L — H30 (See Straight-4 above for other H engines.) ????-???? Nissan P engine — 4.0 L — P40 1968-1983 Nissan L engine — 2.0/2.4/2.6/2.8 L — L20A, L20ET, L24, L24E, L26, L26E, L28E, L28ET (See Straight-4 above for other L engines) 1969-197? Nissan RD engine — Diesel 2.8 L — RD28, RD28T" One thing i do notice is they do list an RB24det, RB28dett, RB30de ( may be the M30 r31)??????
  4. why not buy a R34 kit, install it your self, for the $$$ your talking, i wouldn't pay any more than $800 these days for a full r34 bolt on FMIC kit. if you want someone to do it for you, speck to an exhaust place, mine was $600 for the custom piping and fitting, i gave them the core...
  5. fronts are no worries as i have the coilovers in already and just jap offer the hubs for the s-13 all round at about $600 as well, fronts includ bearings too sell the rear hubs to someone with an s-13 unless they would work on the HR30.... on the r31 forum they are talking about just getting the existing rear hubs re-drilled to suit. welding up the 4 stud holes and re-drilling???? i'm going to talk to an engineer about making up hubs, see if it could be done for less than what it would cost to get ones that might not fit shipped over....i think i could find a market for them aswell in small numbers...
  6. you learn something new every day.... i've never read anything that has listed an L24et version r30, does it give a model # or was it a special release?
  7. there are 2 plates involved here, the importing compliance plate that would say the car came over with such and such an engine or the Mod compliance plate to say the engine has been turbo'd and engineered to aus standards. the mod plate is a hit and miss thing though....with out it it might make it hard to register in another state... was your accountants car factory built or workshop/backyard built?
  8. Ok, i'm working out what i want to do in the near future and pricing up things, what i'm interested to know is, is there any differences in the rear hubs for the HR31 and HR30/DR30?? on jenesis there seems to be nothing offered for a 5 stud conversion in the way of hubs, but the offer front brake upgrades for 4 OR 5 stud pattern? R31 House offer rear hubs in a 5 stud pattern at around $515 aus + shipping....lets say $600
  9. i'd try to get the ID off the block to confirm L24 first, if the car is an import get that info, there were NO turbo aus built factory cars offered so it would have had to have been imported or built here in oz...compliance is what you want to see....
  10. wonder what they mean by r32 rims, 5 stud????
  11. here are some pics of how i had the cooler set up before... the "engine" pic is small but shows where the piping is in the engine bay 2nd pic, the core is black but you can see the core and where it sits...
  12. i already have s-13 coilovers with r32 4pots and matching redrilled rotors on the HR30... if i needed to upgrade i'd find a set of HR31 struts and work with those... if i did go the HR30 way i'd have the speck to an engineer first about the body to see if strengthing and mods for the rb25 box to fit would be required, thier my only concerns with the HR30... the other plus is that i'd have a very healthy budget to work with if i used the HR30, on top of this i could sell the GXE and i don't have to buy a project car....
  13. here's the thing, i'm looking to a new project in the very near future and i have a big choice that i can't make a decision on, i want a coupe to drive as a daily, i have the HR30 sitting here with only minor things to finish to get it on the road but i drive an r31 GXE with an rb25det in it and love the rb25det, i'm a huge r31 fan and love the club meetings/ cruises.... Do i go the rb25det conversion to the HR30 or sell the GXE buy a HR31 and convert that?
  14. i had a 600x 300x 75mm cooler fitted to the HR for a while till i removed it to use in the r31, mounted with the inlet and outlet pipes below the front bar surports, piping was long as it ran back behind the cooler and both came up through where the air box was.... i will be putting a similar sized core back in but mounted differently so i can reduce the length of piping... core in the same spot but mounted upside down (inlet & outlet at the top) 90deg bends straight off the inlet & outlets, holes cut in body just below the lights then piping straight to the turbo, maybe a front facing plenium (i have an rb engine) to save an extra 1-2 foot of piping.. a mate has a similar set up in his r31 and theres at least 3-4 foot of piping saved compared to my old set up....
  15. My girlfriend works with a bloke who's good friends with the owner of the Peter jackson DR30 and she's arranged a tour next week of his place depending on where he is with the car at the time, it's home is just 20min from my place.... i'll be taking as many pics as possible of the DR and the other cars he's got..... stay tuned....
  16. mate your doing well, i was getting 300-350 from my GXE before i binned it, getting 400-450 out of the rb25det now... if your worried try a brand new O2 sensor...
  17. is it the fact the the switches arn't there or the windors can't be opened by passengers in the back thats the problem?? you do have the centre console switches don't you??
  18. I posted up ages ago a pic of a beat up wide body DR30, i don't know if this is the same car but someone has been looking after it.. pics are only small... still looks good though.
  19. any meeting point for gold coasters heading to the cruise?
  20. that kind of info is better listed in a thread devoted to the PN version... Cheers anyway, Matt...
  21. a mate just scored one in mint condition minus an engne for $1500, we just spent the weekend transferring his silver top rb20det into it... S3 Ti front on this one, i got the S3 taillights and Turbo centre garnish of him....

  23. i have made a change to the list with the arrangement, now it runs oldest to newist...
  24. i'm in with the r31, plus a few other r31's i'd say..... the details have only just been posted on the r31 forum...
