this is something you must already know but i just remembered, all origanial twin cam RB motors were mounted on an angle, the rb30 sits stright up and down, did you allow for this??

does it still blow the smoke? so it went like this, old engine and loom come out, new engine went in and was wired, is there anything i'm missing?? hoses all reconnected? sounds to me like a hose not reconnected and your getting extra air in

it says boost on the outside but deep down inside its volts....

i'm running a volts meter where the boost pressure one was now?? seems to work fine. i did swap it from the same type mr30 dash though?

i think you can use either make of dizzy, but the Mitzi is better? thats just what i remember from forum talk. the only thing i can think of is the CAS is shagged. my old one gotr to a point where the car would run but if you touched the plug for the CAS the car would die.

the dash is the same as my HR30 turbo dash but that single gauge has been swapped for something else, i have the original turbo gauge if someone wants it to go with that dash? its not doing anything so you'd just have to pay postage $4 or something express??

Spotted a dark blue r33 with unpainted full kit popping flames out the exhaust this morning on the gold coast hwy... i think you scared the lady in the car behind you..... it'll look good once its painted...

just wanting to know what the standard fuel pressue an rb25det runs at? what is the better fuel pressure to set an adj fuel pressure regulator at? mods are fmic, turbo back 3" system, stock r33 ecu and fuel pump running stock 6psi boost for now... Cheers, Matt..

looking at these prices for the full kit (front bar, side panels, bonnet, sideskirts, rear bar & rear wing) including headlights with the expectation of having to buy hinges here in aus, you'd be looking at under the $7,000 mark less stagea front re-sale, extra bargin if hinges are included. anyone have a link to Masa kits, sideskirts and rear bar is what i'd want to look at. anyone know what these sideskirts are also?

5 issues with the rb conversion, Wiring, its not as hard to find someone who can do that these days, you'll need to look around though, but it can be $$$$ engine mounts, i used the r30 cross member mounts with 5mm spacers and the rb20 engine mounts lined up fine... 5 speed box from r32, it sits about 5cm behind the current hole for the r30 gearbox, bit of cutting involved... tailsharft, r30 is too long, i didn't tackle this problem but a "non cutting" solution was found.... gearbox mount, looks to me like the r32 one was shortened to fit under the r30.... minor issue.... r30 master cylinder is to big to allow the rb20 to go in, mine was changed to the r32 one... all i know is doing it this way i have had no issues with clarence, taild sharft is perfectly balanced... remember the rb25 is a bigger engine as the plenium sits higher.. r33 box is bigger as well.... the only issue i see you having with the rb25 going into the dr is the 2L going to 2.5L, thats if you want to drive it on the road.... HR30 = rb20det

might of had something to do with the fact it was the "Classic" japanese car show , 33's arn't quite there yet, i had transmission issues and was not able to go, shame though looks like there needed to be a few more skylines there....

work on the safe side and get a piggy back system installed at the same time your increasing boost, the $500 you might spend now might save you the $3000 on replacing your engine... i've never heard of anyone getting good results by just winding up the boost on a larger turbo while still running stock management... a mate of mine runs a hi flowed steel wheeled Vg30 turbo on his rb20 and it won't hit full boost till just over 5000rpm, he's only running 6psi till he can instill an SAFC...

just a quick question: white stagea and gtr paint codes are they the same? Cheers, Matt..
