  1. I have my boost controller feeding off the same spot as your boost meter ...so i can't really use that unless i put another T join there...but will look rather awkward...i have my boost meter reading off the nipple at the rear of the plenum just above the AAC....but i find that boost readings is less by about 1-2psi (dyno charts show that my high boost settings is 10psi ...but the boost meter is reading the high boost at slightly less than 0.6 bar...and i know its not a faulty boost meter coz i tested with 3 different meters.
  2. well i guess u could cut a hole on the stock bumper and use mesh to cover it up a bit...but i cant picture this looking good....and if u do mess it up ...its gonna be pretty hard to patch up i've seen some guys running all motor cars with a round hole cut in the front bumper then using a subwoofer cylinder vents inserted into the hole...so maybe getting 2 holes with 3-4 inch vents with the pipe blowing straight on to the cooler might work....cant gurantee how it looks ...but just throwing out ideas btw...i dont think the standard front lip hangs that much lower than the rest of the car...if u'r in for the cruise could meet up wif other stagea owners and measure things up.
  3. u running 14psi without any aftermarket piggyback? ...i could only manage 8psi on the stock ecu before it went into r&r
  4. nice car mate...love the colour coded door strips ..also not a fan of woodgrain...but then again..sets it off with the leather seats. Car looks slightly lower than standard...might be running aftermarket springs..correct me if im wrong. look forward to seeing this car on the streets
  5. hmm..had a look at the standard rs4 front bar ...and surprisingly it does seem to have the plastic shroud collecting air from the duct in the lower lip imho...u should source the standard front lip...but thats just coz i dont fancy cutting holes in the front bar ...else if you want to maintain the stock standard look and not go overboard on bodykits...u might wanna try sourcing the dayz front bar (although finding one would be another challange)
  6. i wanna mini-me for my stag
  7. i was under the impression that beyond a specific afm reading...stock ecu will R&R..but not boost cut at a specific psi ...may want to get a safc to manipulate what the ecu sees from the afm...me thinks
  8. well if ur talkin bout the mint cond r34 smic..then yea..i won that one...had it at 7200 yen...but was upped to 7522....so i decided to take it at the buy it now price 8000...yen-aud conversion is favourable now so i ended up paying the same as my original quote
  9. I have a set of Apexi front brake pads for sale. They were bought brand new from yahoo japan auctions - intended for my stagea rs4, however later found they were for non turbo versions. Price $120 delivered. These are great upgrade pads for street use to 400degrees. Grab urself a bargain....am willing to sell for less than what i paid coz they're useless to me. Other items for sale: 1. Apexi boost meter - 52mm mechanical- good nick just a dated model $40 delivered 2. HKS EIDS - $55 delivered (SOLD) 3. Trust Airinx adapter, brand new never used..and never intend to go the open pod route..so this goes for $10 pickup...interstate buyers to pay for postage. Location: Perth
  10. did u have an immobiliser installed? ....no turbo...must be loud as hell...theivin bastards prolly left the car thinking they stole a lemon
  11. bought an afm off ebay....was for a series 1, no harness and the mesh looked like it had been ripped off ...seller claimed it was in good nick and came out of a car wif 65kays fresh intercooler will be arriving from japan..eta 3 weeks other than that..have just modded my coil cover ...drilled a couple of holes and going to respray...hopefully will make the coils run a lil cooler.
  12. so what rpm range were u planning on driving ...8k? ....cough** hoon cough***
  13. so whats happnin wif dis....what, when, where? <<am a lazy sloth ...dont wanna read da whole thread
  14. if i recall correctly, supercheap were selling the iridiums for $16 a piece ..think repco quoted me $2 dearer.
  15. Hi Jerome, did u have to relocate the washer bottle? any btw...does the cooler piping touch the radiator hose?...coz not sure if over period if it rubs..might wear the radiator hose thin...dont want the hose bursting unexpectedly.
  16. had the same probs on my 1.6 vtec civic....turns out the previous owner had already done a overhaul and i think it had overheated previosly and warped the head...so they skimmed the head a lil too much and i was running too high compression....would go through a set of plugs in 4k ...and platinums would only last a lil longer...maybe 15k max
  17. ok sorry for being a real dimwit here....but u know the pipe that goes through the hole u need to cut under the battery....how do u dummy fit that without cutting the hole first? ...like i wouldnt want to cut the hole first only to find that its in the wrong location and i need to drill the hole bigger....coz i want it to be a snug fit.
  18. Price drop ...$65 delivered!!!
  19. yea...saw the plazaman cooler on one of the threads on sau....but too pricey imho. if i wanted a cooler that routes back to the standard piping...would rather buy an ARC or blitz LM...from recollection they have the return pipe feeding back to the stock position for the price u paid...u could've got the blitz cooler and installed it urself for just under a grand.
  20. as topic says...im after a r34 smic ...if u have one collecting dust in ur shed...pm me with pics and price. with shroud preferred...but if u dont have the shroud...dont matter. Cheers
  21. im sure thats with the blitz lm and arc kits....but they're expensive....was going to get a china cooler or jj kit...its cheaper...but wondering if its really neccessary to relocate the washer bottle and cut the front support bar....can anyone who's installed one of the HDI copy 600x300x76 kits care to explain further?
  22. need help identifying this turbo http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p8/para...77/IMG_0442.jpg seller claims that it is a nissan turbo..but does not know which car...looks kinda small so im guessing sr20 ....only markings is a/r .48 ...is this too small for a rb25? cheers
  23. I'm looking for a fmic ...leaning towards a JJ kit but im concerned about having to relocate the washer bottle...did all u guys have to do the same thing?...if not...how did u modify the piping...would be great help if you could post some pics...gives noobs like me a better idea of what i should/not be doing. Cheers
  24. with regards to the pipes fouling on the washer bottle...is this stagea specific or does the r33 have the washer bottle in the same location? (i.e: under the battery ) how do you get around this when doing the installation? ..and i know that u need to cut a hole of some proportion just under the battery...i've had a quick look at my stagea and there seems to be a couple of wires running through this position
  25. huh? suggest a recount there mate...definately a 5 hole
