  4. yea i occasionally see a red stagea with a 'FULLY SIK' car decal sticker on the rear window along alexander drv when im dropping the kids off at day care...maybe if i spot her again i'll flag her down and get additional members for the cruise...more the merrier
  5. don't forget that u have to add on the jap freight charges + EMS/container delivery on top of that...will prolly be looking at close to 2 grand total. prolly wouldnt mind paying that for an aftermarket kevlar bonnet wif some decent vents tho
  6. Mate of mine had the same type on his subaru forrester turbo ....ride was fantastic...very tight round the corners but nothing that will make u spew up after a heavy meal...good street suspension ...dont know how they'll handle track use tho..dont think they're stiff enuff imho
  7. do a search on the forums....seems this is a common upgrade turbo for the r32 so i suppose it is a direct bolt on...but plz dont quote me on this. Think the afc2 had a 12 point adjustment setting and the afc 1 had 8 ...asked a tuner here in WA and he reckons that the effect of the difference is minimal Definately suit a r33 coz i have it installed on my stagea with the same rb25det Very reasonable price for a brand new afc esp if the stand is included

  15. fan looks attached to the engine...belt or crank driven by the looks of it
  16. so how much did adsport quote for the job? ..did they cut the fan blades or just user longer joiners?
  17. yea ...i know highflows were in the ballpark...but 1800 for a standard rebuild with bush bearings and steel shaft did sound kinda overpriced.
  18. sorry to dig up an old thread....does anyone know how much it cost to rebuild a stock r33 turbo....its off my stagea but i guess they are the same...turbotech quoted 1800 for a rebuild and 1900 for highflow ...wtf!!! does it really cost this much to rebuild a turbo?
  19. 4000rpm??? bejezuz..thats some lag there....did u mean it peaks at 4k rpm or just boost starts coming on at that rpm?
  20. i see these same turbo's going for around $300-400 on ebay...seems rather cheap for a brand new turbo...is there anything wrong wif these turbo? ..will it have massive lag on a stock standard rb25det?
  21. i've got one of these from ebay...but i dont intend to use it...its on the SAU sale forums. PM me if you're interested. Being from HKS im sure they work fine for what its supposed to do unless of course the problem is other than your airflow meter...but in terms of performance wise i dont think it does anything to increase the power of ur car.
  22. nah...not R&R ....if anything the safc was leaning out the afr....was sitting at something like 12.3-12.4 ..was concerned but guys at xspeed confirms that its ok to run at this level....i suppose they did try to tune the afc to remove the power dip ...but my turbo seems to be acting up....time for a replacement...need to save up $$ ...sigh*
  23. sorry to be a lazy tard and not read the whole thread....but did u get ur turbo hiflowed with the bush or ball bearings? the under 1k mark does sound interesting as it seems that i might have to get my turbo done pretty soon...how long did it take? ...dont think i can bear being without my car for 2 weeks
  24. my bad....yea was doing it in 3rd and 4th at around the 3800- 4500 rpm...didnt really notice it in 1st n 2nd coz obviously those gears are shorter ...was definately noticeable on the dyno chart too
