the click you hear when you push that button is the shift lock i think. somehow hooked up to brake pedal and ign barrel. thats y you cant remove the key unless the shifter is in park

i hate the hand brake in camrys (2004 onwards anyway). its situated on the wrong side of the shifter. i keep having to consciously think bout where it is when i wanna use it.

as mentioned b4 i think its cos you have a motor/ecu mismatch. the series 1 stageas were based on the series 2 r33 (rb25) and series 2 stags on the r34 (rb25neo). so if like you said you stripped all the wiring off and are trying to use the wiring from a series 1 r33 rb25 it wont work. you dont have an ignitor. find a series 2 r33 or a series 1 stagea ecu and try that
