  1. You guys need any help with volunteering on the day? As it looks like I won't be running at the moment, getting the final work done on the 12th, and still don't know what condition my car will be in.
  2. Have now got it booked in at Trojan, lennock said they would give it a shot, but they hadn't worked on them for ages and weren't sure how much they could do.
  3. Spotted a R31 4 door having a gander at my car on glenloch interchange.
  4. I have seen one purple r33 for sale at a dealer locally, but not sure theres a big dealer market for it here. There was a place called EVO motorsports, or fast and the furious, but I think they closed down.
  5. Yeah that was me, thought I saw you working on your car.
  6. aren't you getting higher intake temps having the catchcan there, interrupting the airflow to the pod?
  7. As far as I was aware on the 33 and the 34 attessa system a small amount of torque is always going to the fronts, thats why people drop the driveshafts to go on a rwd dyno, you can't shut it off.
  8. I thought it was always a GTS-4? Not sure myself what would need to be done to convert to rwd Best to ask a shop. I think it's mainly change the sump, pull the driveshafts, change the gearbox. Your 4 door gives me Inspiration Sarumatix
  9. This guy should let you read the codes. I don't know what he means about defuser. If you are still interested in the car, stick your head in the boot and there should be a silver box under the parcel shelf. It has a red led which should be flashing codes in a loop. From memory it will just repeated flash small dashes, and will leave a gap between each code. Probably best to grab a pen and paper for this. You'll know once it's looped. This should at least tell you what errors the 4wd system is throwing up. Multiples things can go wrong, G sensor, speed sensor, ETS pressure switch etc etc. The good thing with the 32 4wd system is you can just keep it in 2wd mode by pulling the fuse, so it's no constant 4wd like a 33 or 34. And if you really want you could probably get a shop to convert the car to rwd, or do that yourself. Just depends on if you think the car is a good deal for what it is. I'd also check the rear of the car out if it has a gts-t badge on it, might of been in a rear ender and they bought a gts-t boot to replace the stuffed one.
  10. Would like to get this looked at shortly, so interested if any GTR owners or GTS4 owners have had transfer case issues or attessa issues looked at in canberra? If so where? Good or bad feedback? I might go to southern differentials in phillip, as I have had the car there before for a different issues related to the gearbox. Just wanted other owners info. Currently getting an ETS pressure switch code, and a hard knock from the gbox or transfer case when it engages 4wd. Obviously am running it in 2wd at the moment.
  11. I own a gts4 4 door, from memory it weighs about 50kgs more than a gts-t. Seems a bit strange that it is labelled a gts-t. I would check under the car to see if there is a transfer case next to the gearbox, on the right side. Also if the 4wd light is constantly on, that means there is something wrong with the 4wd system. You can read the error codes from the attessa ecu in the boot of the car. If it is a gts4 it should also have the attessa bottle in the right hand side of the boot. Advantages? Well it does give a bit more traction when you are flooring it, as torque is being diverted to the front wheels and it's not all going to the back. Making it a bit safer Disadvantages? More stuff to go wrong and fix.
  12. Looks like more rain is on the way so won't go out either.
  13. Got a better pic of what the offset looks like for the front? I mean how the wheels sit, I'm interested but don't want them poking out of my guards.
  14. No Worries, if your still looking at getting a 34 the following thread is well worth a long read http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/bu...e-f-t35129.html Answers a lot of questions and has good info.
  15. Hi Seb If your going to get a R34 GT, I'd say keep it relatively stock, have some fun with it, do some light mods and get off your P's. If your still keen then get a R34 GT-T or an R34 GT-R if you can afford it. Unless you have friends in the industry getting a kit put on and looking good won't be cheap. If you want a Z Tune kit I presume you would also need to get the rear guards pumped as well. Welcome to the forums and have fun.
  16. Issue turned out to be ECU Hardware related, had nothing to do with the spark plugs. Fun...
  17. Dragging up an old comment, but was wondering can the overtemp sensor be removed when replacing the cat? As it looks like the cat I'm interested in doesn't have a spot for the overtemp switch.
  18. So is anyone coming out with this rain or staying in?
  19. Seems like everyones taking their cars to ESP after the dyno day, not that, thats a bad thing Just picked mine up today.
  20. Just thought I'd give the thumbs up to ESP again, good service and good advice. Would recommend them.
  21. At the moment I might come and watch, have a list of stuff to fix now, which I should sort out before I take the car to the track again. If theres still spots left when I get it fixed I might participate, but not sure how long it will take to sort out.
  22. I need a part number for an R32 Spec RB25DE. Is it 21200-42L06 ? As this seems to be the R33 number. The engine is not the original one for the car, so not much point giving people the vin number. Any help would be appreciated.
  23. Recently scored a set of second hand ones which I will put into my car, was wondering since these are rare as anything would anyone be interested in making some fibreglass copies or something made up? I don't think I'd have the skill to do that, but I would be willing to send off my old damaged A pillar trims to be used as templates. Nissan no longer stocks these.
  24. It is sad to hear I have to wonder why he died though and the people in the BMW did? Considering both occupants of the LF A were wearing helmets etc, it is a bit worrying.
  25. Is it a skyline? Should be fine for the 11th.
