  1. I new it wouldn't take long for you to call bullsh1t Harey, my post in which you quoted says that the HG seems to need a little more boost to make the same figures that is all. Personally I couldnt care less anymore if you think all of us "2835 fanboys" as you have called us before just like to get our tuners to play around with ramp rates blah blah blah so we can show a dyno graph that is more impressive than yours. That's just absurd. You seem to be o e of the biggest HKS/Garrett haters on these forums. Fact: the HG turbos are great bang for buck and stoa does great work. Fact 2: hks turbos are also a great turbo but you pay for it Fact 3: if you were to have some kind of race with bolting up the HG compared to the hks I can promise you the hks will be on and strapped up on the rollers while you are still working out what to do with you water lines and wondering why the dump is fouling on the air con drain. Sorry man but this is just how it is, not trying to start a war.
  2. Agreed, unless you own a tyre factory.
  3. I reckon the same Zebra, just didn't want to say it az it is an assumption because I haven't personally been in a car with an ss2 or g3. But I have been tips mine "feels" much better and quicker than similar setups running a HG. As you said there is more to it than WOT comparisons.
  4. Guys correct me if I am wrong cause I am no expert, but am I the only one that notices that the HG units need more boost to make the same numbers as the 2835. I'm not bagging the HG's, I had one for quite a while before I upgraded to the hks. It's just something I have noticed. I appears the Joey, myself and others that are running the 2835 seem to be getting ~280 @ about 18-20psi (just generalizing/average) where the HG units seem to need 20-22 to get those figures. Less boost less heat?? ?????
  5. This is very true, one big bonus is you get everything needed to make it a true bolt on. But I do agree you are paying extra for the hks tag, but you forget about it when you push down the right foot
  6. Agreed...........waving the pro s flag with ya Joey
  7. +1 for the 2835 pro s, mine is running 280kw @18psi and very responsive (with other supporting mods such as cam gears etc) With nismo 555 injectors and a tune ever so slightly on the rich side I'm still getting around 430-450 k's out of a tank. FWIW ~280kw makes for a dam fast street car especially a well setup gtst
  8. Looks good Terry, Chris does nice work dosent he! I have always been happy with his coatings. Tell me did he put the stickers on then a clear over the top or did you stick them on yourself??? I have to get him to do my lmgt2's but dunno what to do about the sticker.
  9. Ah good to know Terry, air guide FTW
  10. I didn't know this, mmmmmmm Would I be correct in assuming that haveing a full width radiator air guide in place would offset the negative air charge? As in forcing the air down through the IC and rad the the bonnet will "vent" the heat as one would assume it's designed for??
  11. Yeah that'll work
  12. Needs some kind of cover for the battery. Carbon maybe???
  13. Mmmmmmmm, interesting. Dam you 75' why do you show me that stuff, you know I'm a whore for teh engine bay bling
  14. Yeah a shame though that it can and does discolour, would've loved to have had my housings done in it. The way I looked at it though was with track days and that much heat (plus my general luck lol) mine would like like balls in I'd be pissed off, so went teh black. So do you reckon the front housings you posted up would keep the colour???? Might be time to take the pro s off my thinks for a little pretty up????
  15. I think you'll find the bottom two are ceramic coating, I was gonna get that done in the chrome but chris told me after a while the colour goes blotchy and grey cause of the heat so I went with black. Those housings look the shiz though
  16. Thanks mate, Yeah a kind of candy red. He does a silver base coat and then the candy over the top, so you could pretty much pick any colour you want. And he has a few different shades of the silver, even has this trick looking black chrome which kindy looks metallic dark grey, hard to explain. I might send him a linky to this thread and he can post up some colours. He has so many cloture man I don't think I could name them all.
  17. That looks nice, kind of factory but tough all the same Not an evo bay but this will give you an idea of what Craved can do, my bay with a silver/chrome finish and a candy red. All the handywork of Chris.
  18. +1 powder coating ftw. It's soooo much easier to look after and dosent chip as easy as paint. I could be wrong but those evo covers may be done in that dipping stuff like the fake carbon look?? Craved coatings (craved is on these forums) does excellent powdercoating work as well as hi octane. I have found in my experience just painting engine parts turns crappy after a while, but I did paint sh1t myself so that could be half the problem lol
  19. May not be relevant but cam gears made a hell of a difference on my 25. 2835pro s all in (18psi) by 3200rpm, but I have a ff plenum etc and with the new huffer have inherited a bit of compressor surge which Jez will be working on for me in a couple of weeks.
  20. +1 for Jez, one day the poor guy will get a car on the rollers that dosent need hours of stuffing around before he can tune it Boydy is a nice bloke as well hey. I was in a similar situation with my 33 and the guys just would not give up, a lot of tuners would just send you packing and tell you to come back when all the problems are fixed. Nice result mate.
  21. Ahh I see, thought they were LMGT3's lol. Either way nice colour choice Pal, suits the LM blue. I want you car
  22. Sorry was in a rush, LMGT3 rims. I've never seen them in all gold like that, they look good. I have white LMGT2's which aren't as common as the grey ones.
  23. Damn Pal that's a nice lm, so are those lmgt's special editions for the LM? They are 3's aren't they?
  24. I'm pretty sure but not certain they are the same size, omyths 25 it's m5x around 15-20mm for the valley cover and m6x 30mm for the cam covers
  25. Bugger, that sucks Matt sorry to hear it. I am fortunate enough to have a switched on wife who made me buy a house many years ago so I've been lucky with the mods not eating into the mortgage. I might send you a pm about the oil cooler kit, does it have a thermostat?
