depending on what it is and how complex it is to polish and plate an alternator housing is around the $150 mark and we can throw in little bits and pieces for basically nothing but for a more firm quote PM me and we can work something out

we chrome everything on our engine bays and don't have any issues with heat effecting the plating

your cars probably got platinums in it which take f**k all to foul up and constantly running the car cold will foul em in no time change em to coppers and she'll be fine i have the same issue with my car

give it a cut and buff we used to do it all the time cause when we had dashes out at panel shops the idiot beaters used to spill all kinds of shit on em (brake, fluid thinners, etc, etc) quick wet sand with some 1500 and then run the buff over it and it should be fine

you obviously haven't seen many then its got no oil drain which means its a series one, its pretty simple
