  1. Plenty of writeups and howtos on here by myself and others.
  2. Sounds about right, Neo turbos have a bigger exhaust housing than normal RB25 turbos and the 25 turbo on my 20 wasn't making 12psi until 3500rpm.
  3. Replace oil pump when you buy a car?? lolwut. It's generally an engine out job unless you have appropriate tools and very small hands, but either way, it's way more labour intensive than a timing belt/water pump.
  4. There was one being tested on Monday just between the GEH exit and on ramps heading south on Tonkin. Caught a glimpse of a car behind a tree as I came off the bridge then my detector starting going spastic on LASER LASER and normally I expect to see a cop pointing something at me.. but it was one of these new setups. Come to think of it, it was actually going off Ka AND Laser.. and there appeared to be two units on the side of the road (a normal multinova looking setup and some wierd new setup), I assume they were testing for accuracy between the setups. I had a good 100m notice but the problem with Laser (or at least with the handheld units), is that as soon they paint you they pretty much have a reading, as opposed to multi's where you have a few seconds grace.
  5. General rule of thumb.. more boost = smaller gate, less boost = bigger gate (as you need to bypass more exhaust gasses) So, if you were going for a bigger turbo but only wanted to run 500rwhp you would need a big gate, if you went for 500rwhp with a GT35 then you wouldn't need as big a gate as you would be running a fair bit of boost (~25psi) to get there.
  6. No*, different sized ports and stud arrangement.. that's why you can't use a GReddy plenum on an RB20 *talking about 25DET
  7. Oh if you don't want to wheelspin then don't give it more revs Not much you can do about holding up traffic, srsly, fk them. Axle tramp can be from a few reasons but mostly it's old suspension components.
  8. Could be mechanical/electrical gremlins lurking for that price, get a reputable shop to look over it.
  9. Finally going to get back into a real car? P.S. that looks VERY clean
  10. Nothing. I used an untouched Navara sender and it turned out the 17T cog (I think it was 17T) on the Navara sender suited my 3.9:1 diff gears pretty nicely!
  11. If it helps I'm running 3.9:1 gears out of an auto S13 (stock 33gtst is 4.1:1 I think) and it dropped my revs in 5th @ 100kmh by a bit over 500rpm (3000 down to 2500) but that's going from my stock 4.3:1 gears.
  12. I just used my stock 32 manual cross member and welded some flatbar to extend the mounting holes, spent ages trying to find a crossmember that was supposed to work and ended up just making my stock one fit
  13. I've seen how you treat your car.. I'm still regrowing the earhair I lost when you flamed me!
  14. When I orginally removed my HICAS, I just looped the lines back into each other at the back of the car. When I removed the lines and solenoid, I just looped it back into the itself under the resevoir. I will now be utilising those looped lines to install a cooler
  15. What is happening is that the HICAS control unit is missing a signal and is throwing up an error and going into its' failsafe mode. I think it's a fairly simple system where the only inputs are speed and steering angle.. Does your speedo still work? Have you changed steering wheels recently? or taken it off and put it back on? could be out a tiny bit so the computer thinks your driving in circles.
  16. I did that but put a 3L bottom end under the 25DE head
  17. You let your sister drive your skyline in the rain?! The only people who get to drive my skyline other than me, are my two mechanic mates and my two suspension guys (Bard and Muttley), and maybe Paolo because he let me drive his beast
  18. I believe oil sampling kits are only $26 from CAT, maybe try some Castrol and then get a sample tested and THEN, if appropriate, say it sucks ass, with evidence.
  19. What the Nistune guys do for RB25's is run a Z32 ECU so you can still use VCT.
  20. Rb20 Nistuned ECU won't run the VCT on the RB25.. Z32 AFM just needs the matching plug swapped off your RB20 loom onto the RB25 loom. Injectors, as mentioned, are not a straight drop in (RB20/26 are top feed, RB25 is side feed).
  21. I'm sorry that's bullshit. If you build the engine properly there is no reason why you can't spin it as hard as you do a 26.
  22. Kinda old, busted it late last year, have to wear my hinged brace whenever I'm out and about May have to resurrect Team With Benefits.. Matt?
  23. I can walk and drive (auto's and manual cars, trucks hurt ) but stairs aren't cool. I'll see if I can acquire a spritely young teammate
