  1. It might if we all do our part
  2. They are but I have decided to go for a wrecker bottom end and keep the 32 a 3L, need to get it back together and move it on, will finish building the other bottom end and chuck it in the Stag once the 32 is gone.
  3. Yes, the R32 RB25DE (non VCT) head bolts straight up. My dilemma is that I have a 25/30 with the above mentioned head, in pieces, and the block is already drilled/tapped for an adapter plate (from a previous life).. I could drop the complete Neo into the 32 but then I would have wiring/management dramas, likewise if I put the 25/30 (with non-vct head) in the Stagea. OR, seeing as the 32 is already licensed with the 3L, I could just get a wrecker bottom end for the 32 and put the build, adapted bottom end in the wagoon. AHHHHHHHH DECISIONS DECISIONS
  4. Nice work woza, told you it was worthy Now it enter it in some shows and win some bling!!
  5. yes, yes* and yes *aslong as you don't have a really early 32 with the smaller bango bolt
  6. The NIStune daughterboard solders to the mainboard, the standard chip is still retained but you change some jumpers to tell it to read from the daughterboard. It's basically full programmable software that is integrated with the factory management but it doesn't have the fancy features of a standalone such as antilag, launch control etc.
  7. Be nice to see the start of the torque curve, what sort of revs do these things pull? torque seems almost up there with the twincam 30's over here.
  8. +1 for NIStune, you can get a board for the RB20DET for about $220 then get a competent electronics dude to solder it in. Also, my 32 in cold start was much the same (even after being tuned for the 30), it wouldn't want to rev over 2000rpm but I was happy with it being a reminder not to thrash the car too soon.. 3L probably helped as I could shift at 1200rpm and still get to the speed limit in 4th.
  9. A little searching would go a long way... How to install a Bosch 044 in an R32 (pretty similar for all skylines): http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/111401-bosch-044-intank-r32-gtr/
  10. Nice! Edit: blegh! realised your specs are in your sig
  11. So tempted to drop the 25 in the skyline and the 30 in the wagon Reckon a 25DE (non VCT head) would bolt on to a Neo bottom end?
  12. I have a Nismo 2-way in my 32gtst and I love it, was a daily driver like that for over a year. It's not for everybody though and requires a slightly different driving style. If you like scaring grannies, mothers and small children in carparks, as well as having a SUPER predictable diff, then go the 2-way
  13. If you get ALL of the GTR piping setup including all brackets, it does fit but you will still need custom pipework from compressor outlet to bulkhead fitting and from bulkhead fitting to throttle body.. unless you have a forward facing plenum then mucho easier to go with an aftermarket kit. I have fitted a GTR cooler/bov setup to my 32gtst using all factory GTR bits but I have a high mount turbo and custom plenum. Oh and GTR piping is like 3.25"
  14. Bosch 044 mounted in tank with a stock-like sock filter setup.
  15. Why 25 pickup? I used the 30 one..
  16. Yes clearance to the strut tower is reduced slightly as our engines are canted to the passenger side, so the 38mm increase in deck height pushes everything over a bit, it's only about 5mm though.
  17. RDA slotted 350Z rotors, greenstuff pads, master cylinder stopper. Does pretty well (obviously it doesn't stop like my 32) but the main reason for upgrading to slotted rotors and better pads is so you can stand on the pedal more often without fade. Stock brake setup does alright, I could make it kick ABS in but it was really only good for one hard stop and then they were rooted until everything cooled down. Will be trial fitting chuckies 1 piece braided lines on the weekend and we are working on a solution to use the larger Stagea calipers with a bigger diameter rotor (such as 324mm 33gtr).
  18. Yes but the sump needs the crank scrapers (or whatever they are) removed or the 30 crank will smash them to pieces. They are at the back in the shallow section of the sump.
  19. Same deal as a 33gtst
  20. R32 GTSt manual is 4.3:1 and I think R33 GTSt manual is 4.1:1.
  21. Absolutely awesome cars, mine is pretty heavily modified but the engine is still unopened. I also driving it HARD and it loves it, begs for more! The only issue I have is front CV's have started clicking but the front axles are the same as all the GTRs, have a set coming in through Maytech very soon. P.S. make sure you go a series 2!
  22. And they'll want to scrutineer your huffy.
  23. Was a nice casual way to spend my birthday, thanks guys Good times, good drive but that sun.. I swear I was standing in shade most of the time but I got hella burnt
  24. Yeah don't hit 4th, roll over the line in 3rd a few times and practice your launching, once you've got it nailed.. go for a pull pass so you get kicked out for a fairly impressive number
